Members of the global science and lay communities have begun to learn of the confirmed omission of 80 years of instrumental data from contemporary ocean acidification (OA) scientific products. The missing ~2 million data points comprise a majority of the world’s historical ocean pH measurements. The data was replaced without disclosure, by a model hind cast. The substituted history, known as the FEEL2899 report (1) was itself used as the technical basis for testimony to the US Congress (2). In turn, OA mitigation research funding was augmented, and the regulation of anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions was strengthened and deepened.
This occurrence of a model-replacing-data-without-disclosure has few publicized precedents of this scale. Already some in media have chosen to headline this as a case of “pHraud” (3). Whatever it is called, a fundamental question remains whether or not this omission will ever be corrected. Currently the major obstacle to rapid correction appears to be a consensus among those in power, that ocean pH cannot (and could never) be instrumentally measured using any conceivable means for any conceivable ocean purpose by any conceivable scientist. Therefore those in power effectively assert that the world must put aside expectations of data accessibility and transparency, and accept the PMEL authors’ formerly undisclosed SeaCarb model hindcast replacement as the entire truth of past ocean pH.

Should this really surprise anyone? Manipulation of the ‘plebs’ has been going on for centuries. Failing such manipulation how do those that benefit make their way in life? The scary point is that there is less questioning of their actions than in other time in recent history.
A year or two of warmer weather is all that is needed to confirm man made global warming.
Not knowing anything about this topic, I decided to read the comments to better understand this. I discovered that the government paid snake oil salesmen have successfully peddled a ocean ph level fraud in order to get more government funding.

Where’s the NY Times editorial? Where’s the outrage from UK Guardian? Why are multiple ‘Green’ NGO’s silent? Meanwhile these people just walk out free as a bird without criticism from their peers or being held to account by the authorities? Astounding.”
And when NASA GISS publishes screaming headlines about hottest year ever they never tell the media that most of their “global temperature data” is not measured by thermometers but manufactured by computer modelling to fill in the gaps.
So they are saying if you had a thermometer in Vancouver and another one in Winnipeg, their computer models can predict the temperature in Delisle to an accuracy of one one hundredth of a degree.

Why isn’t some of this prosecuted as the fraud it really is. A crisis is manufactured to gain billions in funding. Sure sounds like fraud.
But, but it was a “consensus” of fraudulent data as long as it has “consensus” of a “majortity of scientists” it’s not fraud – it’s just “a correction”.

Green theology has supplanted “environmental” science and much of non-pantheistic religion. Fealty to these pieties trump those of science and reason. Swollen state (and uber-state, ie UN) involvement with industrial scale and institutional rent seeking completes the symbiotic relationship with hysteria pimping NGOs and politicians. The mal-education establishment sustains the situation by parroting the green pieties while scrubbing critical thinking from the curricula. Cheating and lying for the right cause is as synonymous with green junk science as it is with their allied progressive politician’s standard operating procedures.

I’m afraid it may be to late. I looked at my thermometer this morning, therefore I am a climate scientist. It is really quite simple to get in on the scam. And don’t jail them. Put them to work on a farm for 5 years. Then they may slowly start to see how weather works. Maybe.
And as to OA, just more crap. All the corals, crabs etc. are dying. Yeah right. Did these people even pass basic biology in grade 6? (never mind, rhetorical question)
