3. Oh yeahhh ? At least our kids can put a condom on a cucumber at age 6 and know everything about the queer lifestyle by the time they are 8. They may not know how to read ,write or spell with proficiency and gawd help them if the batteries go dead on their calculator, but by the time they graduate they at least know all about social justice and why they deserve at least $15. per hour for just showing up at work. They will have learned that oil is evil without ever realizing that without without it and the more than 4000 products derived from it we would have to set the clock back a 150 years and most cities would be unsustainable within a week with complete chaos within 2 weeks and uncountable millions dead within a year. That’s just a small portion of what’s wrong with the education system today. Our priorities are skewed because our left leaning liberals have been in charge for a few decades too many and the rot has permeated all logic and common sense. We are now a entitlement society that wants everything for nothing with all special snowflakes demanding the rewards for someone else’s labor and sacrifice. We have too many politicians promising to cater to that demand. We are in a desperate race towards 3rd world status by embracing green technology that is so inefficient that it can not support industry and students admire and support the snake oil salesmen that will guarantee them that 3rd world status. All in the name of solving a non existing problem. I could go on but it’s too depressing and I would be vilified for supporting the Koch brothers or a shill for the oil industry. The point I’m trying to make is that none of the above applies to China and little of it to India and other countries whose education system has been immune to this disease called liberalism. Like the Maple Leafs, we had it 50 years ago, but now its gone. The next election will tell us whether or not its gone for good. The children will soon be old enough to vote. Be afraid….be very afraid.

4. Two words: HOME. SCHOOLING.
   By which I do not mean an emphasis on religious training, incidentally. Rather, an emphasis on the tools of cognition and memory. Those being basic arithmetic, the reading of fiction for pleasure, LOGIC, and the use of resources to look stuff up that you don’t know.
   Rote learning also has its place, as you can’t read or do sums without memorizing stuff when you’re little. It makes your brain grow, and the effort of doing it makes kids partners in their own learning process.
   You can’t teach kids by yelling at them, and you can’t teach them like a factory turning out identical widgets. If you’re a parent, you better realize that the school ain’t going to do anything other than p1ss your kid off and turn them into Useful Idiots at best, just plain idiots otherwise.
   So really, ball’s in your court. It’s your kid.

Or for the so-called holders of master degrees…difference between “affect” and “effect”. And just for the “Phd’s”, what does paradigm mean. For anybody over 40, the above answers are easy.
