  1. Excellent depiction of the true historical reality of military contact between Islam and the west, don’t ever let the apologists convince you that the west needs to feel historical guilt.

  2. Jihadists, Islamists, progressives and appeasers don’t care about the facts, just their narrative, which blames the decadent West when it attacks, is attacked, responds to attacks or does nothing and is still attacked. It’s an ideological struggle the presenter correctly states began over 1400 years ago and has not abated to this day. It amazes me when Islamists attack us in our own country, coincidentally(?) in both English and French Canada, those noted above automatically turn to arguments of don’t lump “authentic” Muslims with these evil “militants,” that apparently we need to temper our racism, to be more progressive, and actually we should “get of our high horse” and admit we are still crusaders, or slavers, or other idiotic comparisons.
Newsflash: reasonable people understand most Muslims don’t (actively) support jihadist attacks; yet they still happen. Then again, most Germans and Japanese were peaceful, yet we got WW2. These nutbars gain their authority, at least in their addled minds, from Islam. The material they use is from jihadist organizations like ISIS, Boko Harum and AQ to name but a few. Is ecclesiastical Islam completely unaware of this; is that we are to believe?
Sorry it doesn’t pass the smell test. Having said that I feel sorry for peaceful Muslims who feel the wrath of jihadism more than anyone else. Trying to pretend influential religious figures in their religion aren’t driving this recent iteration of jihadism is simple denial.
Thank you to our PM for calling jihadism for what it is, a dangerous, totalitarian and apocalyptic ideology with a long history of violence. Playing the victim card is these circumstances is disingenuous. Tying ourselves in rhetorical knots trying to separate nutbars from a religion they say justifies their actions is self-serving IMO. It has been, and will always be about power and oppression; not us, them. Deal with it on that basis and we can work together to degrade and maybe even destroy this cancer on all civilized societies, though that would take a herculean effort for which most Western leaders, particularly Europe and the USA, lack the necessary testicular fortitude.

  3. Don’t hear very many calls for a new “Arab Spring” these days. Oh that’s right we just had one.
The map neglects the thousands of gang-rapes, shootings, stabbings and car-b-que’s across modern Europe and Scandinavia.
Oh and it also neglects terrorist attacks in the US, Canada, and Australia, but I suppose we’re just talking Europe.

  4. Instead of choosing to be approximately right on Islamist jihadist terrorism (and Putin too), VDH argues Mr Obama rationalizations are precisely wrong and states my argument far more eloquently than I can:
How to Empower Violent Extremism – Every time Obama “contextualizes,” Putin and ISIS grow bolder, aka medievalism and smart phones meet:
“By all accounts, only a tiny minority, perhaps no more than 2 or 3 percent, of Muslims in the Middle East actively supports ISIS and violent Islamic ideology. But various international polls also show a much higher level of approval for what Westerners would call Islamism or Islamic terrorism — as expressed by support for the tactic of suicide bombing or agreement with the late Osama bin Laden. Approval from this larger minority polls anywhere from 15 to 20 percent, depending on the country in question and the wording of the question. In other words, 60 to 80 million Muslims in the Middle East may, at least silently, condone almost any tactic felt necessary to further the cause of a purer Islam at the expense of the West in general and of what they would see as secularized or Westernized Muslim sellouts in their midst. This minority of many millions of Muslims in the Middle East and in Europe resents the West. From the time in the morning when they get up and flip on their television sets to the instant they go to bed checking text messages on their smartphones, the West and Western technology are ubiquitous. But — radical Muslims demand, and the Muslim Street itself often wonders — why must this be so?”

  5. Another, longer video by Dr. Warner is here.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_Qpy0mXg8Y
It’s well worth the 45 min of your time to view it. Least of all the wallpaper in the background is mesmerizing (:
The main ideas I picked up from this longer video are:
    1) Jihad has been continuous since Mohammed established/created Islam.
    2) What religions existed in the MidEast before Islam came into existence in the 7th Century?
    3) In the MidEast, was the conversion of Christians, Jews, Zoroastrians, and others done willingly? Or at the point of a sword?

  6. Not a word about the Inquisition or wars/battles that ‘took back’ most of Europe. He is a hypocrite.

  7. “What religions existed in the MidEast before Islam came into existence in the 7th Century?”
The Kaaba was a Hindu shrine originaly……
    Muzzies consider Hindus pagan….

  8. Oh, I thought the Muslim armies left voluntarily. They were militarily ejected. Give your head a shake.
