Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

What an amazing find. Some shots look like they could have been postcards. The photographer was quite talented.
Fascinating!!! Thanks for finding that and posting it up.
Over 70 or some odd years and they can still develope this old film from cameras that are now museum pices
Develop yes. He had to put it through a scanner to get definition.
In our family we have lots of WWII photos … and the background of them has been explained to me … it then means something to me … someone else’s pictures, not so much. Just because I saw them doesn’t make them less desirable.
To me anyway, Kate’s painting of the army boots and dog, say a lot more than the the 31 rolls of film.
I watched this a few days ago and it struck me that he is dumping his chemicals down a sink drain. Maybe they are harmless – no idea.
I don’t know. Maybe you should ask National Geographic or Nature … their contributors have been putting the chemicals into the drain well before you and me were ever born.
I don’t doubt that and I am not an enviro-nut. I just am aware of the pains people go through to clean the water up before putting it back into a creek or river. Just seems odd… have a nice evening.

I did that once in the 1990s, when I had access to a darkroom. A man give me a camera that his WW2-vet uncle had owned, and there was a roll still inside it.
I was able to get some printable negatives—and they were boring picture of unidentified barracks and trains. Nothing even this good!
