… avoid a repeat of 2011’s disastrous vote splitting, when the Harper Conservatives won 100% of the power with just 39% of the vote. In some ridings that will mean voting for NDP candidates; in others, Liberal; in a few, Green or independent candidates, depending on who’s best positioned to win
Anyone know who pays for them?

  2. Sore losers, and maybe I should emphasis losers! They were fine with vote splitting when Chretien won with the same-ish numbers as the PCs and Reform split ridings. The problem they will have is that stanch Liberal and NDP supporters will not just do what they wish. As strange as this sounds to me, they actually support the “ideology” of their parties, even if I think the Liberal ideology is just winning without an ideology. The NDP are predictable, the Liberals are finger in the wind chameleons.

  3. Conservatives want smaller government.
    Dippers want Larger government.
    Liberals just want government.
Yes, the vote splitting demand is going to be a tough row to hoe, given that Dippers will have to target Shiny Pony hard to have a hope of winning anything as that is where the libs will get their vote from.
Interestingly, I would not be surprised if Quebecers remember Trudeau Pere and Chretien and stick with the Dippers.

  4. Good luck with that. now thatthe pollitical parties have to fend for themselves financially …lol i call it now. Conservative majority!!!

  6. Good Job Brian.
I think the last time Canadians exported Conservatives was during the world wars.
