Linden MacIntyre – and we mean this literally.
The CBC journalist Linden MacIntyre has been barred from appearing on CBC News Network this week after executives there objected to a comment he made during an interview with The Globe and Mail in which he compared the workplace behaviour of Peter Mansbridge to that of Jian Ghomeshi.

I guess the CBC wouldn’t like me blaming Mansbridge for the recent deaths of Cirillo and Vincent. Actually, I blame the entire progressive media but the simple fact is Mansbridge has pushed a Progressive agenda that has invited, incited, and protected Islamic nuts.
The blood of Canadian victims of Islamoterror is on Peter’s lips.
Evidently, you can’t see it at the Grope and Flail, either. I get a “503” error.
Surely no one thinks that Ghomeshi was the only prima donna at the CBC?
“trying to explain the phenomenon of abusive stardom”
Mansbridge is a star? Who knew? If reading the news and lobbing softball questions at left-leaning guests is stardom then apparently the bar has been lowered considerably.
What I took away from his article in the G&M was excessive whining that Canadians were just not appreciative or worthy enough of all the wonders of CBC and if only they had a better audience, politicians would fall into line and fund them more.
No mention that English TV sucks, English radio is a constant progressive rant or that all of them are overpaid, underworked and justifying their jobs.
I cant see that Peter Pansbridge is a star. he didn’t appear on that wonderful CBCpravda show “Celebrity Cooks” with Nick Adonidis.
No fan here of the banter between Claire from England based in Vancouver and Mr. Mansbridge elsewhere. This was on the section about the weather. “That’s enough of that” she used to say.
Somehow it does seem that in the aftermath of some revealing conduct about an icon, others come forward. Perhaps we shall hear more of ” mild and harmless” hanky panky by CBC would be lotharios.
G&M article is behind a paywall, and Hell will freeze over before I ever give those left-wing lunatics a cent.
CBC has approximately 8600 employees. To imagine there was only ONE sexist pig who took advantage of his power and celebrity would be just stupidity.
I was betting on Suzuki to be the next predator exposed, but then again I bet on the Leafs to win the Cup every year.
Fellow Roadkills,
Just suggesting that we keep the tenor of the thread above board and don’t sink into the gutter with ad hominen attacks.
Now, back to regular programming.
Chrome’s “Open link in incognito window” brings in the dreck* real good.
“*Yiddish/German word for crap, garbage, trash, etc. The kind of [****] that you don’t want to step in, and if you do, you’ll be walking funny for the next two blocks in an attempt to scrape it off your shoe.”

I made the mistake of watching CBC’s coverage of Remembrance Day without the sound turned off. The Prime Minister and his wife arrived to the applause of the crowd. Then the silver cross mother arrived to further applause – and Mansbridge then went on to say that she was the first to be applauded! He repeated this blatant lie later in the program then went on to a rant about how badly the government treated veterans. At that point, I shut the whole thing off before I smashed a perfectly good flat screen.
Fire the whole @#$% lot of them, starting with Mansbridge.
U mean don’t behave like a lieberal???

being a talking head on the news channels requires the same qualifications as your average mail carrier… you have to be able to read english and occasionally ambulate to a big screen to point at pictures of justin trudeau.
come to think of it… this job could be performed by a ten year old child. i bet that would cut down on that billion dollar subsidy as well.

A careful reading of what Linden McIntyre said reveals that he was making the point that Mansbridge and former CBC radio host Peter Gzowski were examples of abusive personalities in positions of management or at least high up in the hierarchy at CBC.
He was not specifically alleging sexual misconduct. Maybe he had some experience of some other form of emotional pressure that a boss can sometimes wield in a workplace.
What some people call “high maintenance” personalities. And yes, I have heard the rumours about Suzuki, different issue, he was not named here. It does need to be investigated, and a competent national media would do that, but whenever normal journalism confronts the globalist agenda, guess which one wins.
Right.
Like it (him) or not, Mansbridge has a dedicated following and people believe the garbage he spews about climate etc.
Oh how we’d all love to see someone come forward with some verifiable slander about Suzuki. Oh wow.
Rather than be exposed to unsavory personality characteristics of the swollen-headed commentariate, couldn’t we save on looted taxes by having the CBC hire temporary second year Poly-Sci interns to write the requisite leftist nuances into wire service news script for Robots to read on air. Robots could even do all interviews. It’s not as if the formulaic style would have to change as that could be easily programmed.
Obviously we’re stuck with the leftist cultural icon as Harper has had ample time to sell it off so we might just as well “cheapen it”.
Leftist rats cannibalizing each is always good.
Defund Mothercorpse now. Let it live or die in the public marketplace. I’ll bet the mortgage it dies within a year.
You bet on the Leafs to win the cup????? Jeez Don Morris, I used to think you were half assed smart or something. Thanks for shattering my illusions. (Go Flames Go;)
Just another glimpse as to what’s going on behind the commie red curtains of the Corpse is all … move along folks. Not news of any relevance just a huge foucking waste of tax dollars.
Presumptively the casual attitude of CBC management toward Jian Ghomeshi is due to that fact. They probably thought, that he was a heterosexual, so there would be no little boys involved, and went after adult females, so no little girls, and furthermore his partners weren’t complaining – until recently. He probably seemed to them, relatively, as a saint.
I was, as usual, being overly sarcastic. Of all the teams in the NHL,any team from Toronto would be the last team I’d ever bet on or cheer for.
I used to live and die by the Montreal Canadiens when I was a kid, but now I just appreciate whichever team plays the best game at the moment. Last year I greatly enjoyed seeing Darryl Sutter’s team win it all.
Btw, on Sunday, I’m betting on the Stampeders over the Esquimaux de Edmonchuck, you?
Simple solution: let’s just ask Wendy Mesley. (is that a poorly kept secret, or what?)
An interview this morning on CBC radio with a budding CBC newcomer. Linden was profusely praised as an icon. I could not recognize the voice of Linden as opposed to his usual “down home” delivery.
Wow – ya mean people in positions of authority can be difficult to deal with? Type “A’s” are demanding? Who knew?
