  1. Well, Robertson has been re-elected.
As a resident of nearby Langley Im glad that Robertson is doing his green slime stuff in Vancouver like housing the homeless etc. It means my community doesn’t have to pay for it.
In fact, after neighboring city Burnaby’s mayor was asked if his city was going to put in shelters, low cost housing etc. the mayor said Nope, let Vancouver do it.I agree. They seem to have never heard the saying “build it and they will come”. Vancouver has the best weather in Canada, Canadas only “shooting gallery” for druggies, and now plenty of housing whats not to like for the drug culture crowd. Actually come to think of it all the rest of Canada should be pleased as well.Send us your druggies.

  2. I wonder if Krause’s articles had been published in the Sun and Province instead of the NP they would have had any influence with last night’s results? Somehow, I doubt it. Mayor Moonbeam will be in office for another 4 years.

  3. Who’s funding Saint Gregor? Thanks to Vivian Krause, we already know it’s Tides, and every other environmentally zealous Foundation in America, and Vancouver developers Wall Financial, who used to dabble in real estate under the moniker Wall and Redekop.
Gregor will be Mayor until he decides to run for higher Office, when the same group will back him to run the whole Province.
Sadly, an awful lot of liberals won in yesterday’s civic elections here, including our own shiny new Mayor Colin Basran.
It looks like a tide of liberalism is about to sweep Canada as it did the USA six years ago.

  4. The Left Coast is living up (down?) to its reputation. We got a conservative mayor (re-elected) and totally looney left-wing council after yesterday’s election. Interesting times on the horizon, especially for the mayor and we long-suffering taxpayers.

  5. … Newell was awarded the Order of Canada for having “placed” $60-million toward various unspecified environmental and social causes
We should not reward people whose objective is to prevent the economic development of, and impoverishment of, Canada.
These bourgeois socialist rich and servants of the rich should be mocked for the hypocrites they are.

  6. Four polling stations, three east side, remained open after the 8 pm deadline……………who gave the order to do this?
Funny how this sudden rush of voters showed up at the last minute……..just like when Adrian Dix won the leadership of the BC NDP.
Voter ID’s were not checked the majority of the time.
Something stinks in Vancouver and it ain’t fish.

  7. You got it.
Who was the dirt bag that authorized an Order of Canada?
All the people mentioned in Vivian’s article are living high on the gullible people who think they are giving to a charity and these crony capitalists are getting charitable status for tax purposes.

  8. The Order of Canada is a who’s who of everyone that’s ever blocked a logging road or protested in front of a camera. You don’t need a Green Rolodex when you have a list of Order of Canada award winners. David Suzuki, Elizabeth May, Vicky Husband, etc, etc………

  9. Don Cherry hasn’t received the Order of Canada so it’s generally a recognition of disservice to Canada.

  10. First of all – the Order of Canada thing became totally meaningless the day it was awarded to the murderer – Morgenthaler ( I could not care less if I misspelled the asshole’s name). End of that discussion. The real question is not “who bankrolled Roberson’s campaign” but who is NOT bankrolling HIS OPPOSITION??? Let us dwell on that for a while – shall we?
