Many of the killings we have seen recently have happened moments after the victim was forced to convert.
It is the final act of stripping you of anything you believed in..and then you are worthless…the “better” Muslim now decides what type of “Muslim” you are…and you will be deemed to not be up to snuff.
Funny story (in retrospect). I was riding in a HUMVEE with an American platoon (I’m Canadian) and I remember coming up to a part of a newly laid road where the asphalt had been broken up and on either side, directly across from each other was a white Toyota truck and a semi…this was a classic set-up for an IED attack…I just remember saying the Hail Mary while taking the safety off my rifle and scanning my side of the vehicle for a possible threat–I seriously believed that I was going to die. You’d be surprised what you can do while you’re saying a prayer. The Big Guy was smiling on our little convoy of 4 vehicles that day…we didn’t come into contact all the way to our destination.
