    It’s simple. Saskatchewan and Alberta have the oil and the Uranium, if you want it, just pick up the phone and say, ”Hi, I’m from Ontario and I’d like to buy your oil.” No strategy needed.
    That’s what we do when we need a new truck that was built in Oakville, or new snowshoes from Trois Rivieres Quebec.

  9. Their “national energy strategy” is nothing but meaningless gestures. Any Premier can meet the carbon reduction/storage agreement by planting trees, and doing nothing else.

  11. Just watched for the first time a hilarious, politically incorrect t.v. series on Netflix called Lilyhammer. It is about a Soprano type boss who hides out in Norway. A wise guy versus the nanny state in Norway. Also nice scenery if you are ready to see scenes of winter. A series that would never have seen the light of day on the CBC.

    Apparently,there are currently 130 holy warriors from Canada overseas doing their best for Allah, while another 80 have returned home from their jihad. I wonder if,under Canadian law,they are entitled to veteran’s benefits.
    To their credit, the Harper fascists have passed a law making it illegal to go overseas to fight for Islamic supremacy,one poor fellow who was off to Somalia is doing ten years at our expense.
    I’d suggest the returning jihadists be arrested,stripped of their Canadian citizenship and passports,and unceremoniously deported, but the Supreme Court would overrule me.

The abuse continued for 16 years, and the perpetrators were not some elusive and heavily armed terrorist group who threatened to kill their victims at the first sign of a rescue attempt, but ordinary members of the local Muslim community.
    Ending the girls’ ordeal should have been a relatively simple and risk-free matter. But not only did the authorities fail to stop the abuse and prosecute the offenders, they didn’t even try. They ignored pleas for help from the young victims and their families, and covered up their failure to act; and for good measure they arrested some of the victims and their families when they sought help.
    Other than the starkly different locations and the fact that Boko Haram is a recognized terrorist group, the notable difference between the two episodes is that the Nigerian schoolgirls were black, and the Rotherham abuse victims were white.”
