  1. Most intelligent people consider the national (main stream) media to be enemy combatants. They are propagandists and spys. They give information to the enemies of civilization.

  2. In a nation where the highest levels of government increasingly resemble a Banana Republic, and where their Court Eunuch media acts on behalf of that Administration, Black rioters always trump white male cops. This is identity politics playbook stuff – no initiative what-so-ever. Black rioters are to the Democrats what the YAF (Young Americans for Freedom) was to the Republicans except that they usually need more “assistance” to get to the polls. Don’t expect decency from the looters and thugs of the left and particularly from their media.

  3. Think of how many papers & website visits that the lynching of a cop would generate. The media exists not to inform you but to make a profit. These are the folks who if they see someone lying shot on the street shoot video of the scene instead of calling 911 or seeing if they can staunch the flow of blood. They then broadcast the video as quickly as possible and refuse to let the police have the original unedited take.

  4. Cop shot a punk. Punk is dead. So what. Big deal. I truly couldn’t care less.
What is more important is the *reaction* to this event by others such as the media.
Kate, your headlines on this news item have been fantastic.

  5. Occam I have had similar thoughts.
Unfortunately this, as you know, would immediately be called Terrorism and Terrorism is not to be faced by anyone but Tea Party members and the other Lumpen. Possibly it will be acceptable to publish the addresses of the lower pressitudes, your word, and an appropriate one.
Casting one of the minions to the mob could make a slow news day profitable. Publishing the addresses of the higher level decision-minions would only harm the rent-a-cop gate keepers in their gated communities.
Publishing the actual Pressitude Policy Makers addresses would put the mob up against real tough; well armed twenty-four hour combat veterans.
    Just following along with your original thought. Cheers;

  6. True, but even more descriptive is: the present day left. They will use any means necessary to see the triumph of their biases.

  7. These are the same arseholes that accuse the police department of character assassination when they revealed that “gentle giant” was actually a thieving thug.

  8. Occam you and Mike S both make good points. Perhaps a web-wide effort to collect all of the addresses(and GPS coordinates) of the residences of all reporters, editors, and owners of media outlets anywhere in the world, regularly updated,on a single web page would be a worthwhile crowd project; JournoWiki.

  9. Just Operation Pushback going as expected. Over a year ago, a contributor to this blog, talking about the then beginning
paramilitarisation of the US police, said something to the effect that “we will find their homes; their wives and children will
not be safe.” Did you not take him seriously, Ms. McMillan? You prattle about evil. Well, civil war is evil. “War is evil”, said
George Orwell, “and it is often the lesser evil.”
Here http://www.steynonline.com/6524/cigars-but-not-close is Mark Steyn’s take on the whole matter.
So many US police forces are poor, incompetent, and corrupt. Giving them advanced weaponry will (and presumably in
Ferguson MO has) given them overconfidence; it is simply an insane idea. So while the Ferrguson police could
and did keep the peace for many a year, one uniformed goon (who should
be hanged in public) sent the whole edifice reeling.
I expect to see much more of this in the next few years.
The uniformed goon who started all of this (and start it he did; there were no notable riots before he did whatever he did, and
the black crooks were there before he decided to shoot one of them.
So now Ferguson will be destroyed. Holder and Obama’s people are moving in. Detroitification looms.
The Ferguson police might just as well go somewhere else. Any chance they might have had for a civiised existence is over.
Canadians should never, my dear little half-Yank Saskers, confuse the US with Canada. Certainly not when it comes to
policing. The RCMP in particular have had heavy weapons and the tactics and practice to use them at least since the
    `30s if not much earlier.

  10. John, I suspect you are getting ahead of the facts.
As Mark twain quipped; The lie is halfway around the world, before truth gets its boots on.
After the shameful disinformation of the Trayvon case, I would avoid rushing to judge the cop.
Too many hustlers rushing to feast on Ferguson’s misfortune.
I agree, there will be more, it is in the interest of those who seek power by dividing society to create this kind of mess.
Perfect storm, exponentially growing population of takers, competent people discouraged from civil service, fools and bandits infesting our bureaucracies ..shrinking wealth as the makers retreat to tribalism and hoarding .
Soon enough the klepto’s will be stealing from each other, openly raiding any wealth they can identify.. Venezuela shows us the way.

  11. You have the right of it perfectly. By the way doing this is making no friends for the Media propagandists.

  12. Interesting that one of the powerful responses to the media article is for the blogosphere to retaliate by publishing the reporter’s address right back. Regardless of what one thinks of this, it certainly will cause many a reporter to think twice about doing something like that again. The Twittersphere is awfully big… Reporters better pray there are no compromising pictures of them out there on the web!

  13. I’ve been recommending for years that whenever possible people should record the names of reporters and their masters in the media hierarchy when they transgress the bounds of common decency.
The problem seems to be that this occurs so often many are overwhelmed by the idea of “where to start?”. It takes some effort to get some of the information but since all these clowns self identify when “reporting” it should be good to start with that.
The more serious can then begin doing the background work and with any luck ….. you should get a nice fat table of who might need a little more personal exposure and where to direct that attention.

  14. So when Sarah Palin puts a rhetorical bullseye on politically vulnerable Democrats during election season, she’s a murderer… and when the media direct a violent, rioting mob toward a person and his family, it’s free speech, and shut up.
Would it be inappropriate to suggest that the mainstream media needs significantly more people in Africa to cover – very closely – the Ebola outbreak?

  15. US policing has grown away from the original philosophy of policing ( the police were one with the people, and vice versa. ), to a grotesquery in which the operative attitude is ” it’s us against them ” with them being the citizenry at large.
All police chiefs should be elected, and the profession could learn much from the remarkable US generals, colonels, and NCO’s that gradually won over a hostile population in Iraq and captured murderous jihadis without the heavy handedness exemplified by policemen in full battle dress confronting people who can be best described as ordinary citizens. Is there any question the people out in numbers in the streets of Ferguson are ordinarily overwhelmingly peaceful in their everyday lives?

  16. A great cow of a woman at the BBC, tries chastising a police spokesman from Fergusen, for not understanding the feelings of the rioters, while a CTV reporter on site there, is unsure if the term “rioters” is used properly here, and the CBC, well you know…. Perhaps a “shoot to kill” directive would have put an end to the looting, seeing as the President does nothing and the Department of Justice (headed up by you know who) tries to stop the clip of the security camera and the thuggery of the dearly departed!

  17. I’m usually a strong supporter of law and order as I am of SDA. However when I see idiotic comments such as ”Cop shot a punk. Punk is dead. So what. Big deal. I truly couldn’t care less.” (Posted by BC at 12:36 PM.)
The cops post a grainy, poorly focused video (from what appears to be a convenience store) of someone who resembles eighteen-year-old Michael Brown. The police were not aware that Brown may have been involved in a shoplifting incidence prior to his being killed while unarmed.
They (police) were later discouraged by their justice department from making the video public but went ahead anyway, and are now facing criticism by their state governor Nixon for doing so. In hindsight, we realize that the video has sparked much of the rage that plagues that district.
Yet you suggest that no one should react to these events.
BC–I think you need to give the inside of your head a thorough cleansing, if not an overhaul.

  18. Plainzdrifter spare me your sanctimonious blubbering drivel.
If you feel so strongly that the useless punk was wronged, why don’t you set up a website to solicit donations for his family? And better yet, why don’t you put in the first donation, how about $1,000.00 given how much you are troubled by the events?
And while you are at it, why don’t you post on said website the full address of the house where the officer lives? Seems like you would be in agreement with doing that.
Let us know when you have the link set up and when you $1,000 is in….you can post the link on this thread. Waiting…

  19. Well said. Brief and very much to the point. As you and others that have frequented here for some time remember , my grandparents and my wife’s grandparents discovered the anarchy that happened when the police were either killed by mobs or ran away in fear of the mobs.

  20. Why would I give a $1000.00 to such a website when you need the help more than they do?? What?? When a white kid in Calgary gets shot by a cop, , the world weeps because his Dad works for Shell Oil, but when a black kid from Missouri gets it–it’s OK!! And we’re all going to side with some idiot of a cop who thinks’s he’s Harry Callahan?
Part of being a cop is having enough brain to realize the consequences of your actions! I wish people like you would move to those shit holes like Detroit, Chicago or St. Louis. Maybe if you had the shit kicked out you by some big black cop, you’d change your attitude about the way things are.

  21. Perhaps someone should release the addresses of certain reporters and upper management so that some police officers could pay them a visit.

  22. *
anybody interested in what is purportedly a radio interview of a friend of the ferguson police officer’s wife? quite a departure from the usual “dead guy had just got his troubled life in order and was about to start pre-med/ astro-physics/ pastoral studies before he was assassinated” narrative you can see in all the usual places.
or, alternatively, you can listen to all the hyperbolic trash-talk from the folk who are, paradoxically yet predictably, looting & burning the reportedly largely black part of this city.
i guess now they’ll have a new target to focus all that ballistic, pyrotechnical grief on.
