It’s Probably Nothing

I remember when closing the border to let nature take its course meant you were “racist”. Today it means you’re Liberian.

Tolbert Nyenswah, the assistant minister of health, told BuzzFeed on Thursday they intend to quarantine all of West Point, a serious measure that would require meticulous planning and heavy security.
Nyenswah could not be reached for comment on today’s riot or its effect on the quarantine plan.

  1. You think things will be any better here? We have a whole population of people raised in the librul tradition of “me first”, me here now!” Ferguson anyone? Watts? Philadelphia? Chicago? Panic and stupidity happen everywhere.

  2. It is a relatively simple matter to stop the spread of disease with the knowledge of epidemiology we have today – once again it’s politics which foul up the strides forward in science – south of the 49th we so an empty-headed crass POTUS literally import, on purpose, once eradicated diseases and the deadly ebola epidemic into a continent where it had never been – he should rightfully be tried and incarcerated for this act of treason in endangering his nation.
On this side of the border, if one Canadian dies from a disease which could easily be stopped with border/health screening isolation policy, heads should similarly roll.

  3. One word Occam: SARS.
We have already seen this show. Last time the makeshift BS cobbled together on the spur of the moment by the public health authorities worked. Lucky us.
In China they beat it with nothing more than proper procedure for infection control and hospital hygiene. Gown, glove and hand washing pretty much.
Small consolation to the people who died, but nice job anyway.
What I find hilarious is the Progressive social justice warrior silence on Liberia. A tinpot dictator FINALLY takes the obvious precaution of closing his borders to traffic, FINALLY imposes quarantine procedures, basically he finally pulls his thumb out of his butt and does the obvious things you gotta do in a country that doesn’t even have proper out houses, much less indoor plumbing. In that situation, you collect the infected in one place and count the survivors later.
Prog SJWs, not even a cricket chirping.
But let the Americans or Europeans so much as put a two week quarantine on travelers? Or even, Ghod forbid, screen for fatal diseases and send the sick ones back home? Oh, the humanity!!!
Funniest part, these prog knobs are the same ones supporting Palestine and screaming “Joooooooo!” All day.
    My popcorn runeth over.

  4. Microbes and virus are color blind Phantom
    – for Prog-troglodytes to spin proper border controlled access for health screening and quarantine into a race-obsessing tantrum just demonstrates their self-destructive stupidity and general degeneracy.

  5. I always though Liberia was where the educated folks went to establish their own country.
The riots prove me very wrong.

  6. The irony here is Liberia is where ex American slaves choose to move from slavery days to the aftermath of the civil war, when given the choice to stay in America or leave. Old habits die hard.It would be a good place for environmentalist’s wailing for the tree’s to live.
    History of Liberia
Americans opposed to slavery back in the early 1800s were divided over the issue of colonization (forming separate colonies) for African Americans instead of integrating them into the United States. The roots of the colonization movement date back to various plans first proposed in the eighteenth century. From the start, colonization of free blacks in Africa was an issue on which both whites and blacks were divided. Some blacks supported emigration because they thought that black Americans would never receive justice in the United States. Others believed African-Americans should remain in the United States to fight against slavery and for full legal rights as American citizens. Some whites saw colonization as a way of ridding the nation of blacks, while others believed black Americans would be happier in Africa, where they could live free of racial discrimination. Still others believed black American colonists could play a central role in Christianizing and civilizing Africa. They knew the nation would face many difficulties in becoming a truly integrated country.
