6. Rush Limbaugh discussed this on his Friday show. The real issue with GOP leadership is that they’re beholden to their major donors, not their voting constituents. They’re perfectly well aware that the public, and the Republican-voting public even more so, are strongly against the total lack of border enforcement, and strongly against so-called “comprehensive immigration reform”. So why are they so hardheaded about taking it up as an issue? Because groups like the Chamber of Commerce want it, that’s why. They want cheap immigrant labor, knowing that the true cost of that labor will be borne by the taxpayers.
   The voter is the absolute last interest being served in Washington.
