Free Ethical Oil!

An interview with Ezra Levant;

AO: What is the book’s overarching message?
EL: I’ll never know as much about the oil and gas industry as an actual petroleum engineer, but I have ways of looking at things that people who are right in the thick of it might lack. I remind people this is not just about Republicans versus Democrats, Liberals versus Conservatives. It’s not a British Columbia or New Brunswick problem. The fracking story is a global thing. And the real beneficiaries of any anti-fracking policy are not some local activists, but Vladimir Putin, and Qatar and Iran.

  1. It seems to me that most Canadians are sequestered in a idealized version of what the world is. They consume the wealth of this country with little real though on how it is produced. The idea that there would be foreign countries hard at work trying to limit Canada’s growth and wealth does not register. IMHO that is exactly what is happening today. Saudi Arabia, Russia and the USA are using those who will advocate against increased Canadian oil production and thusly a less powerful and influential Canada on the world stage.
    Canada’s sovereignty is at stake. I fully expect active involvement of foreign money in the upcoming federal election. The CPC have done a brutal job exposing this threat.

  2. Good for Ezra in being a tireless fighter for freedom and for Canadian resource development.
    CT, exactly. The vast majority of people only pay attention to small news clips on CBC, CTV, Global or on their car radio, and are not as aware of what is going on as are people on this blog and on similar blogs.
    Vivian Krause has exposed the extent to which foreign money is pouring money into Canada to stop our resource development, as well as to influence local elections like Mayor Roberts in Vancouver.
    Even if the CPC have exposed this threat, as I mentioned above, the vast majority of people will not pick up on this threat to their livelihood.

  3. The Canadian “Quisling” media represent and are part of the vested interests who cannot move beyond their own assets. My only hope is for the Canadian Millennia’s to move faster or for the tag ender Baby Boomers to defend their legacy for their Grandchildren to grow some or just get out of the way.Cheers;

    No disagreement there. But our own government aids the enemy by lacing its ministry homepages with climate change bullshit.

  5. “But our own government aids the enemy by lacing its ministry homepages with climate change bullshit.”
    The reluctance/refusal of the bureaucrats to administer government policy and to continue the former regime’s agenda….was made obvious by the ending of the “long gun registry” and the continued RCMP campaign to outlaw private firearm possession.
    The bureaucracy still regards the, now long past, change of government as a brief aberration to be tolerated and humored until things revert to what they consider the proper order.
    The “climate change bullshit” that laces ministry homepages does not necessarily reflect the Minister but probably reflects the Ministry.

  6. We need to elect a government that will approach the development of Canada’s oil and gas reserves with the same zeal that John A. Macdonald approached the building of the Trans-Canada Railroad. As the building of the Trans-Canada Railroad Canada was in its day, so is the building of pipelines, refineries and ports today.
    Canada can increase its influence globally on an exponential scale and at the same time increase its own prosperity by becoming one of the largest exporters of oil and gas in the world. The only thing preventing that from happening today is a lack of will on the part of all Canadians.
    It’s time for that to change.

  7. Right on sasquatch. The career civil servant considers the Minister a temporary figurehead who must be acclimatized to Ministry liberalized
    culture and standards so they more or less tolerate the individual
    until the next figurehead takes over while waiting for the true
    natural governing party to regain power.

    The government has to represent the viewpoints of ALL voters, not just yours, even those you regard as ‘enemy’, that’s their mandate. Since you know better, don’t let it worry your mind.
