  1. When reading comments in left leaning papers, “tea party” is used in a derogatory manner. Tea baggers equates to racist in their feeble minds. There is going to be a reckoning I have no doubts. Pick a side and let’s get on with it.

    The eternal question has always been: “Is it time to start shooting the bastards?” And there is no right or wrong answer….
    Counseling revolution has it’s hazards.
    Revolt is treason, until it is successful, when it becomes the purest of patriotism.
    There has always been a professional element among revolutionaries, and a very skilled cadre of counter-insurgeants employed by established regimes.
    It is foolish to Babble about your guns and armed revolt, should “they” come for your guns. Cold dead hands….they are already trained to get YOU not your guns. “They” know the Allen Wests and Arpaiyos and will ruthlessly deal with them first.
    Castro was still executing Batista officials when he purged his own ranks of the professional revolutionaries….he understood the principle….
    Che Guevara probably escaped this process by, de facto, exile.
    There is nothing civil about civil war…or it’s aftermath.

  4. That’s from FORBES = a long-established, well-respected business publication, a “mainstream media” outlet if ever there was!
    Whether you agree or disagree, this is a FIRST in my grey-haired lifetime for ANY mainstream media to dare publish even the tiniest hint of “revolution” being perhaps, maybe, possibly, just-a-little-tiny-bit in the air. If a mainstream columnist has picked up the vibe, and if his publisher (FORBES = Wall Street itself, for God’s sake!)has seen fit to put it out there, then we REALLY ARE in new territory, or as the Chinese say, “living in ‘interesting’ times”.

    Ballots before bullets, I’ve always said.
    However, IF the ballot box is being subverted, IF it’s being stuffed and your side’s votes are being suppressed and/or thrown out, THEN it’s trigger time.
    That is the right answer.

  7. Disagree. I could name a long list of failed rebellions which were just, beginning with the 1st and 2nd Punic Wars, and list some successful ones that were unjust, Bolshevik Revolution and Iranian Revolution, to name but two.
    Bowyer states, “…when in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another…” from Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence, but Bowyer only seems to imply in his piece that the U.S. Federal government is the ‘other people’ whose political bands need to be dissolved.
    IF it is the U.S. Federal Government whose political bands should be dissolved, THEN the implication perhaps is that individual States are to be the ones doing the dissolving.
    In my opinion, it isn’t the U.S. Federal Government vs several individual States, rather it is people on the Right who need to dissolve their political bonds with people on the Left.
    Yes, this would necessitate a 3rd American Civil War.

    But were it to be overthrown the people who support this corrupt state would either replace it with another corrupt state or subvert the shiny new replacement state just the way they have subverted the present one.
    Leftists are the problem and they must be rooted out branch and twig.
    The answer is a civil war. After they are defeated, they must be made to leave, one way or another.

    When enough people get fed up with the government’s subverting of the freedoms then the time will be right, and only then. Many people of the American colonies were unhappy with King George’s government policy toward them for quite some time but it was the Revenue Act of 1767 that was the last straw and moved more people to think it was time to kick out the oppressors.

This level of unrest in the middle classes again increased after repeated suppression on three occasions of the newly formed Duma (Parliament) after 1905, and led to a simmering serious desire for change. However it took a lack of basic food and heating supplies for the working classes in the winter of 1916/17 that by March 1917 turned the simmering to a boil. The revolution started with a need for food.
    The Bolsheviks led a counter-revolutionary takeover of a young liberal-democratic government. Something like Robespierre and the other radicals took over the revolutionary government of France.
    What will the trigger be in the US? A blatant show of tyranny or food?

    They have chosen to undermine civility, they can hardly expect to claim shelter in the bosom of that which they have tried to destroy. Civil Wars are nasty and they precipitate one by undermining the democratic process.
    Consequences, consequences.
    It is only that the strong consent to bow to democracy that bloodshed is avoided in human interaction at all.
    Those who undermine democracy are opting to face the strong man with the violent impulse in democracy’s stead.
    Realize: when you stand in a queue, you stand there at the consent of stronger rougher tougher people who have chosen to prefer civility over their ability to simply FORCE their way to the front and take what they want, NOW.
    This is the civility that Leftists undermine when they abrogate the rule of law and choose direct action instead.
    Leftists really can’t hide who they are. It’s a mental disease, and it shows.

  17. I do take comfort in Winston Churchill’s comment, and I paraphrase; “American’s will try many avenues and eventually select the correct solution”.
    This is quite different than “Britons will muddle through” which is more in line with Canada’s (Peace; Order; and Good Governance)-POGG.
    POGG, Churchill, forever the aristocrat had limited interest in Canada except for exploitation. Canada was just another Colonial Entity for mercantilism sources of wealth in the British Empire. However, Churchill truly recognized America is different and was forever lost as a source of mercantilist wealth with the American Revolution.
    If one moves towards accepting the slow steady climb to awareness of the “Reasonableness of the American Citizens” there are ever increasing signs of the danger in the pending changes of the “Social Contract of America”. The blatant incompetence of the Progressive wealth redistribution leadership has revealed this bulldozed effort is a failure. Rather than a foundation for the dependent citizenry, Obama care is now the catalyst for a return to self-sufficiency.
    The steady observer, albeit a coat tail rider from a neighbouring country, regularly notes the changed atmosphere in the dialogue of mature, reasonable American citizens. The incompetence of Baby-Boomer control is ending; the automatic acceptance of special rights for people of colour; (President Obama has probably set aside African-American political leadership aspirations for a generation); Feminism is now passé as competent women recognize the travail of gut-wrenching competition is truly an arena for the testosterone motivated.
    America will recover it’s footing; the parasitic existence of the Western World on the American taxpayer was due for change. This recognition will be magnified, as the pending implosion of the medieval world presses against the borders of complacent Europe and the Pacific/Indian/China waters.
    Fortunately for Canada the nativism of tribalism has just about run it’s course. The destructive nature of Regionalism is now increasingly recognized. Desirable internal migration of the workforce will become the moderating economic influence and the path of limiting cultural iconoclasm. The true Canadian identity will strengthen. The inane attempt of top down artificial forcing of a specific regional food as the Canadian icon is at the ridicule stage.
    I am hopeful for North America; for the ongoing pressure on “vested interests” to survive in global competition; for return to Scientific truth with the increasing awareness of the Slyentific Scam being unravelled.
    Life will continue in the evolution of civilization. Is this not the goal for the individual within the Social Contract? Cheers;
