  1. This a completely meaningless and misleading stat. You could have a yearly decline since ’93 and if you have the same number as last year, voila – the “fastest pace since 1993”, just because it is not negative.

  2. Soviet graphics without their industrial expertise – and another whitehouse lie. The Fed industrial figures show a 3% downturn in industrial capacity and utilization between 2007 and 2014

  3. Yet the BLS workforce participation rate has not changed, it remains at under 63% of adults, it was >66% in 2008 meaning that there are 5 to 6 million less people with a job.

  4. – also note that the robot arms outnumber the worker 2-1 – cryptic soviet central planning?

  5. I was shirt shopping at the BAY store in London Ontario yesterday.
Not 1 garment was “made in Canada”….. ALL ITEMS WERE “Made in BANGLADESH”
Same stories …. 2 different North American countries…

  6. What Ken ( Kulak ) said. Marxists are the animating force pulling Pinocchio/Obama’s strings.

  7. Sometimes it seems as though virus of socialism/fascism/communism goes around and infects democracy (however faulty it is). This process is like fata morgana. It is syllogism where democracy, freedom and free enterprise has no defense. A defense would be education, however it appears that instead of that the children of today get more propaganda than of anything else.
Democracy works on the premise that everybody is willing to put their day of work for their own profit. As soon as the socialist aristocrats start stealing money, (and make it legal), from the producers to give to the freeloaders the down slide begins and ends in socialist/fascist/communist totalitarian diktat. This is necessary because there is not enough of ‘anything’, this being key word, to go around, viz Venezuela.
It goes on until, as the lady Thatcher said, they run out of other people’s money.
Note that they, the socialist aristocrats don’t run out of their own money, just of the money the working stiffs merrily paid into the socialist schemes portrayed as warm and fuzzy by the always helpful mass media
As a final blow to freedom, the “artistes” are coopted to produce appropriate propaganda. The artistes are helpful and protected since they are “creative” people as opposed to your working stiff is basically an idiot that can’t tie his shoes, (this is called an analogy).
Growing up under a rule by communists, this is familiar portrait of heroic communist worker, though have not been able to figure out why is it that the worker is missing. And what’s with the robots.
Just so you know, robot is the name that a Czech writer Karel Capek called his automat that replaced human worker in repetitive or hard work. “Robota” in Slavic languages means literally “work”.
The poster is injecting communist propaganda under the pretense of art right at the top of the government of once shining beacon of freedom, the USA.
Don’t think that many believe this and think it is way overboard.
Such is the story of Cassandra.
Not that your correspondent has any claim whatsoever to prophesize.

  8. Thanx Lev! You have summed up the writing of Jacques Barzun in six paragraphs. Cheers

  9. This is just propaganda of the shameful sort.Cheap, grade school atempts to ignore the economic disaster the US has become under the Democrats( Socialists). Even the Soviets did it better with the lies.

June 2014 “A new White House report, Making in America: U.S. Manufacturing Entrepreneurship and Innovation, demonstrates how new game-changing technologies are reducing the cost, increasing the speed, and making it easier for entrepreneurs and manufacturers to translate new ideas into products Made in America.”

June 2011 “There are some structural issues with our economy where a lot of businesses have learned to become much more efficient with a lot fewer workers. You see it when you go to a bank and you use an ATM, you don’t go to a bank teller, or you go to the airport and you’re using a kiosk instead of checking in at the gate. All these things have created changes in the economy, and what we have to do … is identifying where the jobs for the future are going to be.”
