  1. It’s things like this that the rabid left will never acknowledge. Any company is made up of individuals. Some of those individuals are good. It doesn’t matter whether one’s paycheck comes from a for-profit, non-profit, or government coffer; what’s more important is who you are and what you choose to do. I’ve yet to meet a supporter of only-public-healthcare who doesn’t think that how one is paid to do a job (doctor, nurse, or support) is more important than how one looks at the world.
    Does Westjet get some advertising out of this? Yes. Do I care? No. This was great to see, and a real lift for a little boy who could use it. It was probably an equal lift for a mom and dad who felt powerless. And was already more likely to fly with them, this is just icing on the cake.

    Couldn’t happen at Air Canada I suppose. Some union would demand that the West Jet customer service rep be attached to the Dad’s transit union or some other such anti human complaint.
    Management at Air Canada would comply in the fear that this type of thing could catch on and cost them a nickel in the future.

  9. Not to wreck the mood, but the juxtaposition to this would be almost any “pro-earth”, “pro-animal” or pro-socialism video that does nothing more than crap on your life and try to make you love it.

  10. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I cried all the way through this clip. Such a nice gift for a family. As a Mom and a Grandma, WAY TO GO WESTJET! Still the best at customer service.

    However, I reserve the right to dislike(even hate) insurance companies/agencies…public or private.

  14. What I find heart warming is that West Jet doesn’t have to to things like this as their normal service already eclipses the competition. They are a business and not a charity. But they know the power of good advertisement and even more important , they know that word of mouth is the best advertisement. My favorite airline because they earned that.

  15. Somehow my nose is stuffy. Thanks for this heart-warming video. We need to see more of this stuff than the constant evil thrown at us daily by those who have no souls left.
    I had no objections to West Jet showing this.
    Its time some people or corporations are shown in a good light instead of the Hollywood hate brigade against businessmen.
    The vid was also postive of fathers which is like finding a gold nugget of truth, in a sewer of hate towards men by feminists.

  16. So much more than just PR bs… WJ actually does walk the talk. I tell you I actually do seek out flights on westjet vs AC whenever I can and this is just one of many reasons. Their attitude is miles ahead of the big old s-rouged behemoth of failure that is AC.
