  1. Oh my god, the kids are picking books that won’t make them gay!
Pedophiles across America are outraged; call in the Human Rights Commissions, someone has to paaaaay.

  2. An award for a conservative, freedom loving, hearing impaired, cigar smoking, capitalist!
    The left-o-spherics will soon get a case of the vapours;
so keep the smelling salts handy…

  3. Yeah. I’m sure it was kids voting.
How many times have I seen posts here telling you guys to run over and vote for something. Considering who is behind this, and the books it beat out, you can bet on the fact that the voting was skewed by people who voted because they wanted Limbaugh to win, and not because they genuinely loved the book.

  4. yup. I’m guessing those at the show weren’t amongst those voting, or that those voting simply overwhelmed the officials.
I wasn’t surprised that Rush took the chance to show up either, nor surprised at the poo being flung by the Daily Beast.
and… It would have been good to have Rush listed on that link, donchathink?

  5. Note to John:
So how come the lefties didn’t do the same, don’t they know how to vote?

  6. Exactly.
As well, the lefties are just upset because he did not write the book from a Marxist rewriting history point of view.
    Good for Rush.

  7. @ ∞ ≠ ø: The link is for 2013 awards. My understanding is that Limbaugh won this year (2014).

  8. I think you are wrong, John. This looks like a terrific book and kids seem to love it. Good for Rush. How outrageous that the left tried to get his name pulled.

  9. Good grief, to think a childrens book could even make it into print without glorifying 2 mommies or 2 daddies. The gay lobby groups must be in complete shock. Even John can’t believe it. This is a very slippery slope that could eventually lead to a book that questions global warming and that might even put us back on a path of sanity. The solution of course is to get these kids indoctrinated while still in Kindergarden so these tragic embarrassments won’t be repeated. Watch for the rebellion and book burnings by the left.
PS, Hope you can get over this John, must have been a real shock.

  10. Well done Rush. Getting the left so angry that they’re ready to blow a blood vessel is a accomplishment to be proud of.

  11. is it possible to borrow books written by Sun News commentators from your local public library? Will they even accept private book donations from these same authors?

  12. Looks like the Westboro Baptists are going to have competition in the book burning ceremonies.

  13. On Amazon, Rush’s kids’ books are ranked number 7 and number 8, as we speak. They’re selling well.

  14. Yeah, and there is no way the leftrash would cast votes to sabotage Limbaugh’s chances, right?

  15. Rush is fantastic, but I have cooled a bit on him lately. He is forever plugging Apple products, despite the fact that the biggest fraudster on the planet sits on Apple’s board, namely Al Gore. And when Tim Cook made those asinine comments regarding Apple and the environment, Rush tiptoed his way around the subject. If he was seriously into the idea of freedom he would be plugging Android. I’m not saying Android is perfect, but it is at least a little more free than Apple’s closed world.
In addition he has been plugging his book so much on his show and on his website that it is becoming unseemly. Enough already. It is just a children’s book and he also had help writing it, yet he flogs it like a used car salesman.
Over the last two to three years I have noticed many inconsistencies in what he says he believes versus how he actually acts.
I think what has happened is that his taste for money has now far exceeded his taste for ideas. This wasn’t always the case.

  16. Bill O’Reilly hawks his books, as well.
Kids’ books are important, in my view. The two that have stuck with me since I was a kid are ‘Wind on the Moon’ and ‘Little Women.’ The first was about wanting to be free, and the latter signified self-reliance and being frugal. To denigrate books for children is short-sighted. I saw a whole series of UN-sponsored kids’ books that promoted the theme of molding children into well-behaved obsequious clones. Yuck.

  17. BC, your choices are Android (Google), Apple or Microsoft. That’s it, unless you’re an UberHax0r with a lot of time on your hands to customize Linux into useability. I’ve been trying to use Linux as my main desktop since it was available for download, still not ready for prime time.
However, I must admit I also have stopped listening the last couple of years. SDA is a better source of news and views for Canada than Rush. Besides, my personal blog looks like his show prep half the time.
