These revelations have elicited no outcry from any ‘feminist’ groups.

After, she says, requests for reinfibulation are relatively common. That’s because it is considered normal for women who come from countries where FGM is widely done, mostly Africa and the Middle East.
“It’s my impression that we do get many requests for this and almost all of them come from the husbands,” Burnett says. “They want their wives closed again.”
In Canada, the ob/gyn society’s new guidelines, issued last November, suggest doctors explain the dangers of reinfibulation to patients, and that requests for the procedure “should be declined.”
That’s a softening from a policy statement issued 20 months earlier, which stipulated that requests for the operation “must be declined.”
So, my question is this: will our crusading Children’s Aid Societies – those good folks who rush in to remove kids from Mennonite parents who sometimes spank their kids – be so eager to yank little Muslim girls from homes where they are at a much greater risk to much greater harm?

The main assumption made in the calculations that follow is that the rates of FGM among groups in the UK are the same as are found back in the mother’s country of birth.
No hard data, just extrapolated BS thatched together with leaps of faith.

To start with this is a very private subject and secondly it is a crime so if little Aisha tells she will get her parents in trouble, therefore she is most likely being told to stay silent. Most women will not answer the question truthfully if they answer it at all.
If you actually read about the methodology in Appendix D you will see that the authors admit that their final tally is based on the assumption that FGM rates are the same among immigrants as in the country of their birth. In contrast to the man-made global warming they’re not claiming “the science is settled.”
To me the biggest revelation of the report is this – for decades we have been told that muslim immigrants will magically transform into moderate westerners and become just like us but the authors of this report admit that it is not happening. The report assumes that Muslim immigrants are not assimilating at all and not one voice in the multi-culti crowd is contesting that opinion.
