  1. 110,000 people had urged the newspaper “to stop publishing climate lies”
    –
    Funny,
that is exactly the number of people who will lose their power during the snow storm hitting NY city today..

  2. Had climate change hysterics and eco fanatics been around at the end of the last ice age or the beginning of the bronze age, they would be diaper wetting over the extinction of the woolly mammoth, ard ox and other glacial animals.
They would be hand-wringing and smearing themselves with ashes about the warming climate melting the ice shelf over Europe and Canada, rising ocean levels and flooding of the Mediterranean and Black seas – and of course their answer to stop this “disaster” would be not to move to higher land and adapt to cope with the change (as bronze age civilization did) , no, it would be to petition the tribal shamans to force us to douse our camp fires and proto smelters, stop making the new miracle metal and retard our progress to appease the warmth gods. They want to maintain the old ways of living with the old climate. Meager living in the low flooding regions in cold development-deprived societies run by weather-hysterics and witch doctors.
Of course they did not exist in the late ice age/early Bronze Age (thank God) for 2 reasons –
    1) Ice age people had too much common sense to indulge in life-risking self-deprecating behaviour/beliefs and those who did were not around long enough to soil human progress/development with their genes.
    2) Climate warming in a geological, biological and anthropological frame of reference has been good for/to us – the worst of times in earth history for living creatures and human society has been cold periods brought on by fully natural causes. The best of times have been warm, high CO2 atmospheric ages, brought on by fully natural causes.
Putting a wider geological perspective on asinine climate/eco hysteria helps us realize the type of baseless psychopathy which infects the ranks of climate change obsessives.

  3. Good comment
    1) Ice age people had too much common sense.

We now have about 7 billion people living on this earth due to global warming/climate change.
One million of them (rich-spoiled-brats) are climate/warming/global religious nuts,
and they believe the rest of us should not be here.
    Piss on them..

  4. Krauthammer-
The next step is book burning.
So the question of the day is: Can you light a Kindle?
    –
Old people in Britain have been burning global warming books for several years,
Workers at one charity shop in Swansea, in south Wales,
described how the most vulnerable shoppers were seeking out thick books such as encyclopedias for a few pence because they were cheaper than coal.
One assistant said: ‘Book burning seems terribly wrong but we have to get rid of unsold stock, for pennies and some of the pensioners say the books make ideal slow-burning fuel for fires and stoves.

  5. Silencing their adversaries is always one of the first weapons the left uses. Next will be the brick wall and the gulags.

  6. It’s going to get worse, I suspect. This attack mode is part of the lead up to Paris 2015 – the next , or last, best chance to get a binding agreement on CO2 reduction, reparations to undeveloped nations for the industrial revolution and the end of cheap, reliable energy.
It’ll be a propaganda nightmare of panic marketing and pressure sales. Anyone saying “calm down”, “I don’t think energy poverty is a good social or economic policy”, “adaptation is less expensive and more effective than mitigation”, “the science is obviously not settled” or “let’s wait and see” will not be tolerated. I think “Shut up, he explained” will be on the mild end of what will come next.

  7. “Of course they did not exist in the late ice age/early Bronze Age ”
Actually, they did exist. They died.
    Evolution works – stupid loses.
Too bad we didn’t have a little thinning of the herd going on these days…

  8. Too bad we didn’t have a little thinning of the herd going on these days…
Apparently evolution doesn’t work…regardless of the atheist attempts to shut up anyone who says it doesn’t.
People fell for another theory that modifies the interpretation of the evidence to prove the theory, why not this one? heh

  9. Without free speech, dissent takes more kinetic form. Unfortunately, the looters and thugs of the institutional left own the culture and with it, a natural alliance with those controlling the guns of the state. Unlimited government has enormous potential for suppression of dissent and leviathan self-preservation.
Conservatives, being outside the cultural mainstream and over-compromised on principles cannot effect changes without changing the culture.

  10. The climate alarmists are no different from the witch burners of yore.
Any unexplained adverse event in the village? — Witchcraft. What’s the evidence that you are a witch? — The unexplained adverse event. Anyone defending the witch against the accusation of witchcraft? Must be a witch as well. The proof that they too are a witch? — The fact that they defend the accused witch. It’s just a string of tautologies.
    Likewise global warming hysteria.
Decreasing ice extent in the arctic? — Man Made Global Warming! Increasing ice extent in the antarctic — Global Warming! Floods? — Global Warming! Droughts? — Global Warming! Unusually warm weather? — Global Warming! Unusually cold weather? — Global Warming. Anyone questioning Man Made Global Warming? Substitute “Denial” for “Witchcraft”. See paragraph above.

  11. Too bad we didn’t have a little thinning of the herd going on these days…
We do, droughts, famine, earthquakes, tsunamis, however meddling do-gooders get in the way.
Here’s a good site that discusses paleoclimate and how it effected human development.
    Paleoclimatology
    http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/paleo/abrupt/data2.html

  12. The herd is thinned by over 100000 abortions every year in Canada alone. How much more thinning do you require?

  13. Sure evolution works Strad! My present thinking we are still in the early evolutionary stage of civilization. The next stage of the evolution of will surely include a brand new physics awareness as enabling as electricity.
    Seems to me; the big questions at this stage of evolution is the evolution being directed by a superior entity; intellect; whatever; with the second question does the superior whatever really care about an individual. Cheers;

  14. …with the second question does the superior whatever really care about an individual.
…depends if they care about Him.

  15. Remember when you disagree with a warmist watermelon, that means you are a liiiiaaar!!
And, like OK it’s OK to silence/censor a liiiiiaaar!!!
How childish. Their hysterics IMO reveal their obvious intent has nothing to do with the environment but a lot to do with screwing free enterprise, which they despise.

  16. When the lights go out, the limp wristed, green, latte sipping, pathetic, progressives will be the first to die.

  17. This seems to be the M.O. of the environmental left, file a
SLAPP suit against anyone who disagrees with the notion that
an industrial economy can be powered by Unicorn farts!
Michael Mann will lose his ass because he refuses to turn over
his research to a peer review process. Mark Steyn and Charles
Krauthammer will eat him / them alive because they cannot be
intimidated, and have the intellectual heft that the other side
    lacks.
When Einstein presented his general theory, he also handed over
several tests that would prove his theory wrong. After he fled the Nazi’s, they did a propaganda number on him. In order to prove the Jewish scientist inferior to the brilliant German scientists, they published a book called 100 authors against Einstein.
Einstein responded by saying that “If I were wrong, it would only
take one.” Michael Mann would never do this!
