1. We have three children with two of the multiple numbers of social genders, the old fashioned girl and boy types.
   The kids have access to a wide variety of “toy diets”
   Other than guns, which both gender types seem to like, the only reason the boy touches the dolls is to torment the girls. The girls played with the toy cars for about 10 minutes and then went back to the dolls.
   Boy isn’t happy unless he can push a car around.
   Never did anything to force them into the gender mold, they did it themselves.

4. I have never seen a little boy that wont push a car even before they can walk and make the engine noise. I can figure what happened before Henry Ford.
   and all little girls wrap dolls in blankets, furs prior to this are easier to imagine. our dimorphism is mostly obvious from the beginning. of course there are bell curves of behavioral distributions but mostly they are honed by 100000 years of practice and success.

5. The author, Rachel Carlyle has a somewhat common sense approach to raising children and I don’t really see her as a gender bending foam at the mouth progressive. What I took away from the article is throw it out there and see what they enjoy playing with. Something we all learned as parents. There’s really no need to label anything boy or girl toys because kids will play with whatever interests them. The only danger lies in the school system when the social engineers get their claws into them. She is only a journalist covering the latest opinions, and that’s her job. I agree with Forest. No need to force them into a gender mold, they do it themselves. It’s only the progressives in the school system that have a problem with that.

6. Children are highly imitative. They’re not little solipsists; they gravitate towards play that mimics what they see around them. If you were somehow able to raise some kids in a totally isolated environment where every single male they ever saw wore makeup and an apron and cooked and cleaned all day, and every single female wore overalls and rebuilt diesel engines, then that’s how the kids would play.
   That would be impossible to do because sex roles in society are determined by immutable biology, but let’s not kid ourselves that children somehow pop out of the womb with these traditional sex roles magically imprinted on their brains. Boys will generally be more aggressive and outward-focused, girls with generally be more nurturing and inward-focused, but the specific form of their play comes directly from what they see every day.

   However we did notice that on occasion at an early age they played with the empty boxes rather than the toys, although eventually they discovered the toys or dolls.

8. Broken people tend to want to make more broken people like themselves so they won’t feel like they are abnormal. This is why social engineers exist. Not to better society, but to make it in their own flawed image. If everyone is broken and morally corrupt then it is normal.

10. Our kid had a selection of toys to choose from. She liked guns. She likes LEGO, but mainly for building barns, stables, and castles for her horse collection. She could care less about the toy cars unless she can hitch a horse trailer to one, or the dolls are commuting between the castle and horse stables.
    Does this officially make me a patriarchal ogre?

11. When girls play with cars, the cars all sit in a circle and have tea.
    When boys play with dolls, the dolls are Ninja warriors.
    Leftists are very attached to their Tabula Rasa view of human life. They get seriously bent out of shape when you suggest that it just ain’t so.
    That’s why its important to teach boys and girls alike the art of combat. Because our world contains many Leftists.
    Besides, little girls LOVE shooting almost as much as they love ponies and sparkle.

    Than again we all like explosions.
    I find no historical evidence Women are less war minded than Men when in power.
    Just seems to me the Ladies use Men as the tool of choice for coercion behind the ruckus, when it comes to violence. Which makes them smarter being out of the range of bullets.
