It was just reported on CBC that the Phillipines Ambassador has made an impassioned plea at the UN Climate conference, for help,and for the wealthy Nations to do everything possible to stop this madness that is climate change.

I can safely predict that every act of nature from here on in will be blamed on global warming or climate change. No one in the MSM will mention that it has happened countless times in the past. This year’s unusually quiet hurricane season as well as the expanding ice in the N and S poles will also be blamed on climate change. Remember that critical thinking and common sense are now discouraged in the halls of academia and the brainwashing is entrenched. I do see some hope in the fact that Australia woke up to reality so perhaps there is still a chance that logic will spread. The best chance for a return to sanity is if more nations tell the UN to get stuffed. Bless you Australia.

I think you meant stop, with an s, with the light bulb fantasy. I agree, they should drop the ban. However there are too many dim bulbs in the Liberal and NDP parties that will yell bloody murder, and there are probably enough AGW believers in the government back benches to stir up trouble.
I also don’t think PM Harper has enough brass to be as blunt as Abbot is, at least for now. Maybe after he wins the next election he can thumb his nose at the Luddites.
