  1. Second nose-stretcher/knee-slapper of the day:
“This does not, however, mean that all Aboriginal offenders automatically qualify for lighter sentences than non-Aboriginal offenders.”

  2. This is set up like this to inoculate the congenitally retarded and lesser races found in Canada. This is meant to underscore the genetic superiority of the Anglo-Saxon with their higher level of cognitive thinking. We cannot possibly hold these stupid, ignorant less-thans to the same rigorous standard as ourselves.
    That would be Racist!

  3. Flaherty definitely needs to try an keep up. We wish what he said was actually the practice.

  4. Oh really?
One law for taxpayers, another for freeloaders of all types.
I think our finance minister is delusional, the idle no more, Caledonia and politicians of all stripes have convinced me that law and order, the expectation of equality before the law is long gone.
The “Just Us” system has sprung from the gutless lackeys who gravitate to feast at public troughs.
Actually there is no law.Check out Environment Canada and what constitutes a toxic spill.
Elected and appointed royalty running unchecked by the reason or common law.
In my opinion, government cost now exceeds the benefits of civilization, tribalism and survivalism are now rational points of view, in the face of government theft, breach of contract and parasitism.
    Long live the Kleptocracy.

  5. The question may well be, “Do we have any law?”
Just ask Dalton the theft criminal. He did nothing to stop the radicals in Caledonia, Ontario, from taking over regular folks private property.
    There’s no law there.
My goodness, even the “media proclaimed” next PM can smoke his dope while being an MP and nothing is done.
    There’s no law there.
    Etc, etc, etc….

  6. actually the rot starts with the Charter of rights which explicitly sets up two separate legal and political statuses in Canada. One of which is granted explicitly superior rights to the other which is explicitly stripped of equal right. This is done with the Affirmative action clause. Call your agenda by the right name and whites are reduced to inferior status.
    Section 15 – Equality Rights
Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability.
Subsection (1) does not preclude any law, program or activity that has as its object the amelioration of conditions of disadvantaged individuals or groups including those that are disadvantaged because of race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability.

  7. Some genius over at my place had the temerity today to suggest that the justice system in Canada is “not politicized” compared to the USA.

I mentioned the mere existence of the Canada Health Act as proof he was dreaming. The aboriginal sentencing farce is more of it.
The behavior of the Crown, the police and the judiciary during the entire Caledonia affair has been, to put it mildly, entirely political. The fact that we even -have- separate sentencing guidelines for aboriginals, and that these separate measures have not been struck down by the Supreme Court of Canada as prejudicial and insane, is more proof.
There is no law in Canada. There is only influence. Given influence, you can get away with murder.

  8. I notice a fair number of my Canadian FB friends wringing hands about How Wicked Mr. Harper Is, because the RCMP is arresting people who are blockading public roads.
If some white people in Alberta did that and inconvenienced Natives, they’d be calling it what it pretty nearly is – insurrection.
(And they wouldn’t be forgetting that “being arrested” is how civil disobedience works, very deliberately.)
But in this case, it’s Noble Protest Against Wicked Oil And Stuff. Native Wisdom, don’t you know.
(I often see the same sort of thing from the American Progressives I know (and sometimes from the Conservatives, though far more rarely, since their worldview doesn’t like that kind of thing); an action’s status is determined by the noble or wicked goal imputed to the actor rather than mere “laws” or the idea that they should apply to everyone if they apply to anyone – God forbid there be any consistency in them or how they’re applied.
This quote never stops being relevant: “This country is planted thick with laws, from coast to coast, Man’s laws, not God’s! And if you cut them down, and you’re just the man to do it, do you really think you could stand upright in the winds that would blow then? Yes, I’d give the Devil benefit of law, for my own safety’s sake!”)

  9. This situation is going to go on as long as the primary failed Conservative policy which headlines this site continues. One of the reason native Indians are able to get away with violence is that they do it in large numbers. Of course, none of them work and so spending a few months in jail just means they have a better place to hang out than their tar paper shack on the reserve.
There seems to be a certain critical mass of people at which point police step out of the way and give up. That means that one needs at least a couple of hundred guys who aren’t scared of violence to make their point. Sure, people will be arrested and that’s when one starts making points in court about the illegal apartheid system in Canada. The one good thing about these so called “warriors” is that every time they commit criminal acts without any consequences, a few more people are ready to join in a group to take on these criminals.
The current crop of police are totally useless and are statist goons who enforce the dictates of political correctness. They enforce laws very selectively and not at all against certain privileged groups. Considering that justice requires laws to be enforced equally, the warped thinking that permeates the current police forces suggests that it’s time to fire them all and hire police who enforce the law equally. Failing that, it’s time for citizens to take enforcement of certain basic aspects of the law into their own hands.

  10. Credit where credit is due.
Without this blog and others, I would never have even thought possible that citizens of this country could be simply sh*t on by every level of government as the citizens of Caledonia were. An injustice that pisses me off still today.
I have every confidence that in this round of native anarchy, laws, rights, responsibilities and freedoms will yet again be pushed aside by the media in favor of political correctness.
We have no true leaders in this country.

  11. There certainly is two sets of laws in this country, as evidenced by what happend at caledonia.
One for the natives and one for the rest of canada!
i for one am sick and tired of the double standard.
Someone better get the guts real soon to put these thugs in their place, start treating everyone the same or there will be anarchy in this country.

  12. Racism begets racism. We have an Act and regulations premised on the chemical determinism of 1/16 or more native blood. We also have an entire industry of tens of thousands of rent seeking bureaucrats dependent on that racist law. We also maintain racially segregated federal ghettos as part of that racist law. We have a toxic cultural form of political correctness associated with that racist law which, as this post demonstrates, results in the suspension of the rule of law when the perception of the consequences of racist law conflicts with other laws. And yet, no politicians have the guts to do anything about either issue.
The rule of law is also secondary to other politically correct causes such as environmental, feminist, anti-Christian etc. FNs plus anti-frakking is a near perfect storm of PC. Any guesses on where the professoriate support is on this “protest”?

  13. Someone should leak the local RCMP ‘info’ that the native protesters are actually frustrated Polish travellers…

  14. In the article at the link it says ” You could be entitled to a remedy that is better suited to your needs.”
I will be sure to ask for that entitled if ever I find myself in front of a judge.
    What a joke.

  15. Notice too the deafening silence from people like Robert Louie, who is idolized non-stop for supposedly being a model citizen.

  16. Actually, we have three laws, one for well-connected privileged elites, one for natives and one for poor non-natives.
Three people say something that elites find controversial. If it’s one of them, nothing happens. If it’s a native protestor, he or she will be excused due to the noted special exemption. But if it’s Joe Sixpack who utters the unpopular words, then elitists will throw the book at poor Joe and make sure all the other Joes (or Does) know that it will cost them to step out of line.
I can’t say much more because you can’t even type in the name of certain elitists here, that’s the proof of the third set of laws.

  17. I would venture to say that the HRC’s also impose their own laws as to how we must think and what we can say. The unelected politically correct thought police can can strip your assets just as quickly as the regular biased law system. Also completely geared to punish white heterosexual middle class males while leaving all minorities exempt. So that makes 4 sets of laws….so far.
