Seriously, who else do people think are behind efforts to ban big sodas or sue hairdressers for charging women more than men? Who harasses little kids for making toy guns out of sticks, Pop Tarts, or their own fingers? Who wants to regulate the air you breathe, the food you eat, and the beverages you drink? Who wants to control your thermostat? Take your guns? Your cigarettes? Heck, your candy cigarettes? Who’s in favor of speech codes on campuses and “hate crime” laws everywhere? Who’s in favor of free speech when it comes to taxpayer-subsidized “art” and pornography (so long as you use a condom, if liberals get their way) but then bang their spoons on their high chairs for strict regulations when it comes to political speech?

Liberals live in a fantasy world. They are furious when no one agrees with their world-views. It fries them that someone could be doing the exact opposite of what they would like. They are community communists. NEVER call them progressives. Don’t use the words of a crazy man. Who else would think a waiting period for tattoos makes sense but not restrictions on abortion? Honestly?
Today’s “liberals” believe in the exact opposite of liberty and have embraced Marxist statism.

The gap between classic liberalism and the neo-fascism which hides under that political label is so stark only truly deluded people would dispute it. Goldberg is so correct in his observation of the mutating left.
I see what is happening with the top-down totalitarianism enveloping the US, and all the so-called progressives and liberals who cheer lead this onset of post-constitutional totalitarian statism, and I realise political dialogue with these types is over – they have made the great debate into a polarized confrontation and now are actively persecuting political/ideological dissent. They are the enemy of freedom, civil liberty and the free independent individual – they are the antithesis of the founders of that nation – AFAIC at street level they are a tyranny-enabling zombie horde and at the political class level they are a treasonous public enemy with a prevalent criminal MO.
The time for reasoning with the left is past, we should adopt a mindset/posture of total all out warfare – (social, political, and legal) against this new wave of left wing fascism which is poised to send the free nations into an era of dystopian darkness. Root them out and go after them to neutralize the threat to freedom – vote them out, sue them, prosecute their malfeasance and actively attack their public policy agendas.

If you are only looking for dangers to democracy from the left, I guarantee you will be mowed down by the right. The truly hilarious fact is how those on the political left are just as convinced as yourselves that their ideological foes(conservatives)are the enemy of mankind. Which is why I understand why Libs hate Harper so much, even though he is doing an outstanding imitation of a Liberal leader.

Balderdash. The right and everyone else (along with their wallets) are dragged into the bedroom by leftists. Today’s left policies are mutated 20th century zombies desperately in need of the headshot. Everything is a war for them, from toy shopping to marriage to you-name-it.
