Related: Ontario’s NAMBLA Positive education agenda hits a bump in the road
The bump will be temporary as nature abhors a vacuum. For every perversion that is embraced with acceptance a new one must be pushed on to the stage. A NAMBLA float will be coming to a Pride parade near you and be applauded by the same fine folk that attend these freak shows now. Guaranteed.
The Liberals have bought influence, deleted e-mails, cost taxpayers millions of dollars and now one of their number is shown to be a disgusting pervert.
Yet the big issue of the day is STILL Mike Duffy.
These people should go to hell.
U of T professor arrested on child pornography charges.

Oh, don’t make me laugh. One?
Perversity and depravity have been the stock in trade of Christian civilization’s enemies since day one. The socialist communes of before Karl Marx’s day were sinks of unapologetic depravity. Karl Marx raped his maid. I’ll spare you detailed comment on the goings-on of communist leaders who achieved real power—from serial killer and rapist Laurence Beria, stopped only when he was put down by the rest of the Politburo, to nymphomaniac Elena Ceausescu, who used to abuse herself to tapes of the sweet music made by her own daughter while the daughter played the whore with half of Romania.
I’ll also spare you details of the love of sodomy and pederasty practiced down the ages by the Islamic and Roman clergy, except to note that the Roman clergy in French Canada did not spare generations of the best and brightest sons of their nation lessons in the finer points of sin.
Closer to home, the pervert lobby has been more than influential in the Liberal Party, starting (that anybody will admit to) with Pierre Trudeau. I hope that one day, when Justin is asked has he anything to say before he is sent to join his father, that he will finally come clean about the party games he learned from his father as his father had learned them from the Jesuits, by way of begging the court to have pity (for sure wasn’t the poor man abused as a child!).
And just so we’re clear, don’t worry. Hell is exactly where they’re going.
Maybe.
But one of the main reasons for the rise of Protestantism in Scotland was the wide-spread disgust about the depravity of the RC clergy and Bishops.
Hell is exactly where they’re going.
Interesting, not a doer of the Law, rather a judge of the Law. Hopefully you are perfect, for you will be judged by the same measure.
Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
In other news, home schooling is becoming increasingly popular all over Ontario.
Levin, eh? Must be a self-hater…
In fairness to journos, it’s a bit of a “dog bites man” story.
My, but we have some fine anti-Catholic bigots posting here today.
At least three generations of the males in my family were educated by Jesuits–granted, this was in pre-Vatican II days, i.e., before the Church became Protestantized–with no “party memories” to report.
I hate to burst your Orange bubbles, but the Protestant clergy attracts a similar share of perverts. Read _Pedophiles and Priests_ and _The New Anti-Catholicism: The Last Acceptable Prejudice_ by historian Philip Jenkins (a Protestant).
Y’all have a good, narrow-minded, sectarian evening.
Bigots??? No just pointing out some facts. And yes,the Anglicans were just as bad.
Thing is,I can’t pay 10% to the church, and have all my sins absolved.
No, but you belong to a church where the concept of sin has been purged as mere lifestyle-related whimsy. I love judging groups from modern standpoints instead of 500-year-old misconceptions.
Oh god, queue up LAS to come running to the aid of the paedophiles……….again.
In 5,4,3,2,1……..
Do you really believe that codswallop, that tithing will get your sins absolved? Darn, you really are in the anti-Papist fever swamps (where the quicksand is orange-hued, no doubt). I’ve been going to confession since 1960, my wife since 1964, my dad since 1932, and on and on . . . and none of us has yet been asked to pay a penny for absolution. As Daniel Patrick Moynihan famously said, “Everyone is entitled to his own opinion but not to his own facts.” Where _do_ you get this stuff from? Do you have a source for your extraordinary claim?
“My, but we have some fine anti-Catholic bigots posting here today.
And the award for ‘silliest post of the day’ goes tooooooooo……
Funny you should say that. The charge generally leveled against the Catholic Church by its modern enemies is that it is obsessed with sin . . . as in not getting with the program precisely on what (to the critics) should be mere lifestyle issues; you know, things like homosexual sodomy, abortion, divorce, etc. The Catholic position on these acts is that they are _mortal_ sins, serious enough to damn yourself if not repented. If you have heard a Catholic cleric saying otherwise, he is a wannabe Episcopalian (that’s Anglican for Canadians) cleric; I’ll admit, we have too many of those, but they are _bucking_ Church doctrine, gainsaying the teaching of the Magisterium, and placing their souls in grave jeopardy.
By the way, the Gospel was handed down “once and for all” (Jude 1:3) in Apostolic times; no “modern perspective” supersedes it.
But you fit the dictionary definition of a bigot to a tee, Jamie: My Apple pop-up dictionary has it as, “{One who] exhibits obstinate and often blind devotion to his or her beliefs and opinions. In contrast to fanatic and zealot, the term bigot implies intolerance and contempt for those who do not agree.” That’s you!
Geeze all religions sex scandal bashing, Catholic, Islamic, Anglican, Mormon but what about the Boy Scouts of America?
Seems to me that a “Priest” who sexually abuses little children was not really a Priest in the first place.
It’s about sexual predators and deviants in society, and the Liberal left who defends them.
No, not when they have a shot at tearing down a Christian denomination, but they really will protect Islamic pedophilia or Hollywood’s sexualisation of children. The same goes for the early release of convicted sexual predators into our communities, with anonymity no less.
Benjamin Levin, U. of T. professor, as in professor at OISE, hot bed of all things perverse.
Thnak you knight99
I appreaciate yourp oint as i have said that alot myself ppl blame the church for the abusive men that attend it,ppl blame the church for the perverts that try to corrupt it.
leti t be known that pervert’s lie there way through all kinds of catholic/protestant chruches simply to be in a role of authority and trust over our young children plain and simple they are not driven by the love of christ ,or the compassion of the lord we as pathetic sinful human being’s like to point the finger at anyone but ourselves . my aunt told me she stopped going to church becasue her husband would beat her then go to church the next day and smile and sing yadda yadda…so she blamed the church and god for sinful man!! makes sence , but that is how the lefties like to do it as well anything the left can do to destroy the church tarnish it or break your faith …lemmi think so,ewhere in the bible it states that that is the goal of a certain fallen angel…hmmm who could that be ? …as well his ultimate goal is not to convince people that god deosn’t exsist ..but that he doesn’t exsist!!
I find it just as offensive when i read about a school teacher having a gang bang with her male students like it or not men that is sexual abuse …same with a cop ,or doctor,or any other seeming proffessional in a position of trust it is not the work of the church or the police force or the bar association it is evil manifesting itself in humans, it happens in order to break people of there faith ,there will and there trust in there fellow man but more importantly to break there faith and trust in our savior and our heaveanly father.
Is Carlos really Michael Coren? One RC apologist is pretty much all I can stomach.
Lighten up and realize no one is perfect and God will be the Judge.
Clean the basturds out where children are involved and don’t make any excuses.
With this professor being dragged out into the open, maybe someone who is interested in educating children in something other than perversion will clean the Liberals out of the Ontario govt.
But, I forget…Liberals have always been elected by RCs.
And if you don’t think so, live in a small town and scream knowing that all of them will vote Liberal, even if Wynne runs.
Well said Paul in Calgary.
Predators either go to the prey or they lay in wait.
Any institutions of power will always provide fertile ground for a predator to hunt victims.
Only good people have the power and will to protect the weak from those that hide within powerful institutional systems.
Well, gee Gellen, if Michael Coren plus little old _moi_ are more than you can stomach . . . that’s too bad. I’m not the one who set out to derogate other commenters’ religious affiliations (which my mother taught me was supremely bad manners). And, no, I won’t lighten up; Catholics are _supposed_ to be apologists–you do know what that word actually means, don’t you?–for their Faith. Incidentally, I don’t make any excuses for priest-pederasts; what they do is damnable (Mt 18:6, Mk 9:42, and Lk 17:2), in the strict sense of that word (though the actual judgment of their sins is God’s prerogative). But, guess, what? The same problem exists to a similar extent in Protestant denominations: As I posted earlier, I suggest that the fatuous Catholic-bashers on this thread read Philip Jenkins’ books on the subject. I would suggest that a lot of Protestants are in denial about that inconvenient fact.
I notice that you couldn’t resist taking a parting shot at “RCs” who vote Liberal. I’m an American, so I’m hors de combat on that one. (I always vote for the most conservative candidate available, almost always a Republican in the last two decades; that is generally the pattern among practicing–as opposed to nominal–Catholics where I live.) But the implied insult is noted. I must say, this thread has been illuminating; I never realized before that so many anti-Catholic bigots were to be found among self-professed Canadian conservatives. Thanks for the lesson in transnational civics.
Thank you for your reasonable, polite, and measured words, Knight99. Christians of all denominations need to hang together in their fight against the Powers and Principalities of the Enemy (who must be crowing deliriously on the battlements of Hell, given how successfully he has undermined the moral structure of what used to be called Christendom).
By the way, I enjoy reading your blog, even if your perspective is from a different faith tradition than mine.
God bless.
catholics….Pelosi, Kerry, hugo chavez…need I say more
the last pop quit because of the gays in the Vatican, there is another money scandal in the air, and the “church” still has not outed/admitted to all the little boy diddling that has gone on for decades now….RC, biggest criminal org. in the world
NME666……..don’t forget Jean Crouton and Mr Dithers also identify as Catholics too, and look at their wreckage and what they supported, diametrically opposite of the Catholic church teachings.
You know, i don’t care who comes on here, shoving their holier-than-thou, “my religion is better than your religion” shite, you are all full of it.
Faith is between yourself and your maker. I can sit here and bash any and all denominations, with valid points.
Catholics….nothing like feeling guilty, 24/7.
Anglicans….which way is the wind blowing today?
United…leftwing eco-freaks.
JW…….rewriting the good book.
Mormons….that was some dirty water Joseph Smith drank…
Born-agains….oh brother.
I’ve known them all, good people and bad people in each. So, keep your faith to yourself, I’m not against faith, but I’m against wearing it on your chest!
“…My Apple pop-up dictionary has it as, “{One who] exhibits obstinate and often blind devotion to his or her beliefs and opinions…”
You keep running to play with your “apple pop-up” every time you get aroused, you’ll miss out on the best part of your puberty.
Carlos Perera >
Thanks for the kind words.
Evil exists whether people wish to deny it or not. I don’t think any reasonable person can truly pretend to understand what evil is, but it lives in every war zone, every child predator, every serial killer, every spousal abuser, every torturer, and every other person who would harm another for no other reason than their own self determined reward.
If we remain silent spectators we are in effect participants.
NME666:
Protestants: Pres. Obama, Pres. Clinton, Pres. Carter, Grand Kleagle Rober Byrd, First KKK founder Nathan Bedford Forrest, Second KKK founder George Simmons, founder of the _Deutsche Christen_ Ludwig Müller, . . . enough said.
Pope Benedict XVI quit because he was enfeebled by old age. And yes, the Catholic Church has had a pederasty scandal–homosexual priests seducing adolescents, not little boys–largely because it became lax in excluding suspected homosexuals from the seminaries. Starting in the 1980s, it took vigorous steps to sweep the seminaries clean of homosexual students and faculty, and put safeguards in place to protect minors from predation by adults. In the meantime, Protestants . . . largely denied pederasty was a problem for them, and did next to nothing . . . except, in some of the more “progressive” denominations, to exalt their homosexual clergy as exemplars for their parishioners. Gene Robinson, anyone? As for money scandals: Gortner, the Bakkers, Swaggart, and Roberts come to mind straightaway.
Incidentally, do you have figures to show that the “RC” is the biggest criminal organization in the world? Given how much more money Protestant churches take in per capita, I would venture that Protestantism, collectively, probably has the Catholic Church beat by a good margin. But, of course, you have no interest in checking your “facts.” You’re just one more bigot on this thread. So much for “Canadian nice.”
DanBC >
“I can sit here and bash any and all denominations, with valid points.”
And what valid points can any and all denominations bash about you?
“You know, i don’t care who comes on here, shoving their holier-than-thou, “my religion is better than your religion” shite, you are all full of it……So, keep your faith to yourself, I’m not against faith, but I’m against wearing it on your chest!” – DanBC
Indeed.
I’m not against faith, but I’m against wearing it on your chest!
Yeah, don’t be a Christian in public…
It is kinda odd the chip on their shoulder many people have against Christians. The most harmless people in the world. Even Sadaam Hussein’s messenger was a Christian because he knew a Christian was no threat to his life or his rule. Christians follow the laws in the country in which they reside.
Yet many have something against acting like a Christian in public. Very odd…even though our very laws descend from scripture.
stradivarious >
“It is kinda odd the chip on their shoulder many people have against Christians”.
Maybe some of them were made gay by some pervert pretending to be a priest. I know that would make me hate a few people, especially if I couldn’t tell the difference between a paedophile and a real priest once alone in a quite room.
Just say’n.
Maybe some of them were made gay by some pervert pretending to be a priest.
That would tend to make me hate queer perverts, but maybe that’s just me being logical.
Wow, Dick, you’ve decided to talk to me. That’s good.
Now, let’s clear up some things. Does New France ring a bell? Nope? What do you think about Pope Benedict XVI’s efforts to clear out the seminaries of pederasts and the Queen’s acceptance of gay marriage (boy, can we have a field day with the English royalty’s exploits of perversity and cruelty!)? You don’t actually think Pierre Trudeau or his useless sons are representative of Catholics or what they should stand for, do you? Of course you do. Nothing you say is based on fact but centuries of fear and hatred that seem so tired and boring these days. Why not just accuse the Church of being in league with the Illuminati and get it over with?
I can’t imagine what kind of noxious swill this prof has imparted to prospective teachers at OISE. Ditto for everyone else at OISE, even without legal problems.
You’re not getting up my nose, Carlos. The continual superior attitude that only you and the RC church are blessed by God does though. And the idea that your church, above every other Christian church is above reproach is nonsense. If there is sin, it is to be revealed. And be sure God will.
We are to defend Christ and the hope that is within us:
1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,
In 85 yrs I haven’t met one of you that did it with respect.
Thanks for introducing me to the expression, “You’re not getting up my nose.” It certainly is evocative.
Apparently the rules of the game, as you see them, Gellen, are that you get to denigrate Catholicism and Catholics, but cannot abide a counter: Why, that’s just them RCs being uppity! Why, they just ain’t showing proper respeck!
Incidentally, when I am engaged in a proper dialogue as to why I believe as I do, I strive to follow the advice of 1 Peter 3:15. But that is not what is happening here, is it? _You_ might wish to consider the following Scriptural verse (Mt 7:3): Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
A bit of parting advice: If you wish to be treated with respect, you might try to show some yourself.
gellen, I nearly always agree with your posts. However, as far as your dialogue with Carlos goes, I have to demur.
I am a Catholic convert, which is pretty amazing — a miracle, really — because of the number of Catholics I have encountered in my life who have been true servants, often prophetic ones, of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I grew up in a staunch Protestant home with the usual myths and prejudices against the Roman Catholic Church — to the point that when a lovely Catholic boy walked me home from a dance one night when I was 13, I asked myself, climbing the stairs to my front door, “why am I not supposed to like him?”
It bugs me, too, that Catholics tend, knee-jerk, to vote Liberal but after almost 7 years of PM Harper’s CPC government, that’s changing. Did you know that the Honourable Jason Kenney is a convert to Catholocism? Of all of the Christian Churches, gellen, the Roman Catholic Church is the biggest provider of both education and health care in third-world countries and has held the line on the changing sexual mores in our society, on abortion, on same-s*x partnerships/marriage, etc., something the rest of the mainline Churches have miserably failed to do. ‘Tail wagging dog.
I see nothing wrong with Catholics defending their Church and being proud of its faithfulness in the face of persecution and bigotry while acknowledging that because Jesus’s hands and feet belong to us frail human beings there will be lapses, often terrible ones.
We are living in perilous times. As the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Cardinal Francis George has said, “I expect to die in bed, my successor will die in prison, and his successor will die a martyr in the public square.”
Of all of the mainline churches, like it or not, gellen, and with all due respect, the Roman Catholic Church is holding the Gospel line while it continues to reach out to the poorest and most disenfranchised in the world — who, BTW, do not have to be Christians to benefit from the RC Church’s services. That doesn’t mean that hundreds of thousands of faithful Protestants aren’t involved in similar ministries; unfortunately, however, these ministries are often without the blessings of their “progressive” (sic) clergy, bishops, moderators, and synods. I know. I used to be one of those Protestants who couldn’t help but wonder where my support was coming from, because it sure as heck wasn’t coming from my bishops or synods.
Wow, I see Moby Dickslater really hijacked this thread.
Why don’t we all just set Moby Dick to /ignore/ and get on with it? He’s either a government employee trolling here for the CHRC or one of those ancient Irish Protestant meat heads with diffuse brain injury from getting his face punched every Friday night. Either way, not worth Kate’s bandwidth.
Oh, and by the way. You religious types want to know why its not cool to talk about G*d and personal honour and Truth and Innocence and stuff like that in Canadian society anymore? Because people like Benjamin Levin are the “opinion makers” in our society these days, that’s why. And -you- let it happen. Oh yes, you did.
Evil triumphed here because Good Men took a vacation after World War One. It triumphed so slowly we never noticed anything was wrong until now, when even kids comic books and TV shows for toddlers carry the destruction of innocence in them. Sex education for four year olds in Toronto schools, what exactly did any of us think that was about?
Why do you think Benjamin Levin is getting a pass from the Canadian press when Tom Flanagan got the stocks? I’ll tell you why: the Canadian press doesn’t have a problem with kiddie diddlers. They have a problem with anybody who stands up and denounces the evil they help perpetrate every single day. They are liars.
So rather than waste your righteous wrath on each other, O great Christian warriors, MAYBE YOU YOU SHOULD TURN YOUR ATTENTION TO THE ENEMY.
Here endeth the lesson.
Gee, I’m only a Christian…
Although I am not a member of the Church of Rome, one of five equals among the ancient Pentarchy that included major geographic cathederals in Alexandria, Jerusalem, Antioch and Constantinople, I am disgusted by the vile attacks on it by the ignoramuses on this thread.
I am always amused by Dick Slater, but he is bearing false witness.
In keeping with the spirit of many Protestor’s obsession with pointing fingers at others, I offer up some Baptist’s with fingers pointing back:

The Gates of Hades shall not prevail.
Yeah, denomination means to divide, which is what it does.
In reading the comments one would think that the abuse took place in one Church or another.
To all you Progholes who take the opportunity of Progressive child abuse to attack the Church, WTF is wrong with you?Trying to lessen the stain of Progressive vileness maybe?
Attempting to protect the views you spew?
By attacking the Church you are defending the secular progressive baby-f**king thugs and that is as disgusting as the abuse itself.
“…You’re just one more bigot on this thread…”
Point a finger and yell “bigot”. The default refuge of fools, socialists, the immature, and the perpetually offended.
“Maybe some of them were made gay by some pervert pretending to be a priest.”
I thought people weren’t MADE gay, they were BORN gay, so they could never ever change.
Make up your darn mind.
Hear, hear.
What Batb and Carlos said. And Linus’ advice never to discuss the Great Pumpkin.
wow! This thread went off topic.
The worst part of this whole story lies in the fact that it is now off the radar, and the lamestream media will not continue to hash it over ad nauseum because the guy is not ‘a man of faith’ (any faith).
Not all priests are pervs.
Not all pervs are priests.
The incident of/ratio of pervs from any profession is equivalent to the incidence of pervs that are priests.
Reluctant to engage in that mud fest but Theresa, pretty sure that stradivarious would not say ‘they were born gay’.
Whoops…I’ve been proven wrong again!
looks like a very high rate of pervs associated with teaching in Trawnna…who knew?
