    Hi Dave,
    Now that the House is in hiatus, I am counting on MPs to have more time to cogitate their “Blackberry messages”,
    While this is not about ME … Dave, it does involve me ONLY as the STORY TELLER!
    First off… I was baptized into the “christ principle” as child and discipllned by my Hungarian immigrant PARENTS to Canada, to know “right” from “wrong”.
    I am not a religious zealot, but on the other hand Dave, as Marilla Cuthbert cautioned Anne Shirley in “Green Gables” to “dispair is to turn one’s back on God”.
    Dave, I am a ‘believer’ in ‘miracles’ in this plane of our existence!
    As a prime example Dave,when I first discovered Kate McMillans “Small Dead Animals” conservative blog on the internet, I considered it a ‘Miracle’ conservative voice!
    Why?
    Because Conrad Blacks “National Post” was sold to A Liberal (Asper) , Mark Steyn and Christie Blatchford drifted away from the National Post, QMI was nowhere in Conservative Canada.
    SDA on the internet was IT!
    Conclusion ?
    “Miracle” A Canadian conservative voice”
    My second ‘miracle’ belief Dave, on my sixty-fifth birthday, I was diagnosed with ‘prostate cancer’ …. a death sentence very often, except for early detection of the condition. AND THE the professional skill of Dr. Voegelin at Woodstock general Hospital.
    I AM now 81.
    A third and on-going element of my life Dave is my ‘four leafed clover patch’ which continues to produce like magic!
    Only This morning I have gathered five or six which I will later today laminate into wallet sized plastic and give away.
    And now comes the kicker Dave, I have given the Tim Hortons Franchisee owner Leslie Ferrell at Hwy 401 & Norwich Avenue, HERE IN WOODSTOCK, ONTARIO at least 10 of MY clovers and TODAY … I am including ‘Saskatoon’ berry bush leaves, those ‘four leafers’ for any one who believes in ‘MIRACLES’
    All anyone has to do is ask Leslie for a Joe Molnar grown laminated wallet sized ‘ FOUR LEAFED CLOVER, WITH A SASKATOON” LEAF INCLUDED!
    WILL IT PRODUCE A ‘MIRACLE” ?
    WHY DON’T WE FIND OUT?
    ANYONE WHO asks Leslie at TIM HORTONS on Norwich Avenue @ Hwy 401 in Woodstock, Ontario will be in the test!
    AND DO NOT DESPAIR, EH?

    Daniel Kolberdanz, a single man, knows nothing about criminal law. He was merely the only lawyer whose number his stumbling drunk “secretary” was able to remember through her alcoholic fog and manage to dial after smashing her car into a passing motorcycle. He only showed up because he owed her a few favours, the nature of which need no explanation.
    (This is why alcohol should not be sold off-licence, by the way, or sold to women at all unless in the presence of husbands or fathers.)
    He had no business at the scene, and deserved the shellacking he got for interfering with a perfectly justified arrest. That ought to be done a lot more often.
    I notice there’s no word on whether the motorcyclist was injured through no fault of his or her own—which ought to have been the most important issue, not the fact that a lawyer was taught a long-overdue lesson in humility by a police officer. But then, we know lawyers’ egos are more important than human life, don’t we, LAS?

    Funny you should post that. My very upset sister who lives in Vancouver phoned last night after reading that article on Yahoo. She assumed that everything east of the Rocky Mountains was in ruin. This Pomeroy who is quoted in the article must be a complete moron.
