The mentality of the Swedish Police reminds me of the mentality of the Vancouver Police during the Stanley Cup riots. The idea is that the rowdies will tire themselves out. I don’t agree with the thought process in the latter case and don’t think in the former case they’ll ever tire of it.
Let’s see what happens if an organized Jihad specifically targets Swedish police officers. God help them.

Sunday busted a bunch of people that were shocked and wanted to see what was happening to their neighbourhoods and got caught up in the roundup rushes they made into the crowd of locals and dog walkers.

The public will appreciate the police’s bravery under fire if the criminals throw rocks at them. But they will surely treat with contempt cowardice, such as expressed by the Stockholm police chief here.

And how is this different from the Region of Waterloo police who will not send out an officer to investigate a break-in unless the damage or property lost is over $5000 or you, the homeowner is in immediate danger from the burglar? Instead, you send them an email and they send you a report for you to file with your insurance company.
And for this, we pay a premium in pensions, and benefits, give them permission to carry loaded weapons which they will likely never use.

A few years back I sat on a community policing council. There was a breezeway walk way that had become a skateboarding favorite for the kids. The RCMP refused to attend the site to discourage skate boarders (12 -13 year olds) because they lacked ‘backup’. Our town’s population is 5000 people.
At lunch hour we often had high school kids fighting in the back alley behind our business. My wife phoned the RCMP to have them break up a fight and was told that she should first go and try and stop the fight herself before phoning them. No BS.
What is happening in Sweden has been well established in Canada for 2 decades!

Welcome to Caledonia Ontario.
Well actually, in Caledonia the OPP has been known to -assist- the criminal element with things like putting up illegal fences and tackling bystanders taking video of the crimes. OPP has a habit of facing the dangerous townspeople of Caledonia and taking the rocks and bottles of the rioters in the backs of their riot helmets, just to make sure no rioter gets hurt by some of the vicious old ladies we have around here. The wasteland that is the former Douglas Creek Estate site is kept in place 100% by the efforts of the cops. The squatters just phone the cops if any townies get up in their face, the cops come and arrest… the townies.
So if the Swedish cops were really behaving like Canadian cops, they’d have lighters, bottles and gasoline available for the rioters in case they ran out. You know, to promote their peaceful integration into society and all.

Yup – the OPP have a national reputation for being the Ontario Political Police. See how well they did with the ‘Occupy’ folks and the ‘Idle no more’ terrorists.
Yep. I was there, watching it. Worked out awesome, not a single “protester” was injured. Quite a few uninvolved bystanders took a kicking though.
And the Swede elites are probably scratching their heads each morning and wondering why the rioters haven’t just had their fun and gone home yet? Why?…..players like an audience to perform for and when the authorities will let you get away with what you’re doing it’s just common sense that you’ll come back to do more and bring your friends with you.
Sweden has gone down the socialist path so far that they finally had to back off or risk collapse added to the fact that they’ve imported huge numbers of immigrants (mostly Muslim). Canada, wake up!!, there is a lesson in this and we’d better learn it fast before it is our turn.

Canada will “wake up” the day “demonstrators” of whatever persuasion start burning cars in the Rosedale and Forest Hill neighborhoods of Toronto, while the police look on and do nothing. Until that day, they will continue as they are.
