  2. Once again I bring up the issue of the ‘government’ interfering with individual rights.
    The flu vaccine is a money maker for Big Pharma, not 100% effective, and being pushed for the wrong reasons.
    I work in health care and we are being co-erced into having the vaccine while the science is not settled.

  4. Did the research,HCW. The “Doctor” who started all the vaccine CRAP about autism,ADHD,green moons,homos,etc. was proven WRONG. He admitted that he had faked all his research,in the call for more grant money. Then we get union goons like you who preach the party line and ,BINGO. We have mumps all over the k-6 schools and colleges.We have a resurgence in measles,influenza(the REAL flu). And looky,looky.Our old friend who was declared eradicated is back.Let’s hear it for polio!! Yeah.Some of us are smart enough to research the crap that comes out of any unionista’s maw.

  5. Justhinkin — Your concerns are valid regarding some of the vaccines, however HCW is right about the flu vaccine. The effectiveness of this is not proven and people should not be forced to get the vaccine.

  8. I don’t think “they” claim that the flu vaccine is all that effective to begin with do they? I mean it’s based on southern hemisphere’s strain for that year is it not? It’s basically impossible to predict exactly which strain will be the most common from one season to the next 100%. Getting the vaccine is still better than not getting it.

    In response to the issue of misplaced anti-terror funding, I had advised the Conservatives to do the following:

And by championing the status quo, they assume ownership of it. Trudeau and Mulcair will tie themselves in knots defending government bloat in general while damning this one particular instance of it.     It looks like Prime Minister Harper has taken my advice – at least with regard to the Senate expense scandal. Yesterday, I listened live to his speech to the Conservative caucus where he stressed the need for Senate reform. Among other things, he said, “The Senate status quo is not acceptable,” and also, “Canadians want the Senate to change.”
    When I heard that, I said to myself, that’s it!”
