More than a dozen Maryland state prison guards helped a dangerous national gang operate a drug-trafficking and money-laundering scheme from behind bars that involved cash payments, sex and access to fancy cars, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.
Thirteen female corrections officers essentially handed over control of a Baltimore jail to gang leaders, prosecutors said. The officers were charged Tuesday in a federal racketeering indictment.
The indictment described a jailhouse seemingly out of control. Four corrections officers became pregnant by one inmate. Two of them got tattoos of the inmate’s first name, Tavon — one on her neck, the other on a wrist.

When this story broke, I was saddened. I *know* my state has problems, and I *know* that city is the worst of it and is broken in so many ways, but this is just so damned appalling and disheartening. Baltimore City is in decline and I now doubt there’s a way to save it.

Let me guess, the prison guards were all affirmative action hires. As affirmative action continues to expand, look for the USSA to move closer and closer to Haiti over the next few decades. Now if there was only some way that we could wall off these totally dysfunctional portions of the US — perhaps we should give them to Haiti. Those Haitian’s that manage to rig a boat and single handedly make it to one of the portions of greater-Haiti on the coast will raise the average IQ and initiative of the population.
