  1. At one time I would have cared. Now we can sell to China or Europe. As far as I’m concerned the Kenyan can kiss my grits.Do we really need this guy to tell us what to do, after what he’s done to his own Nation? Better not to sup with this devil.
As for the so called environmentalists their nothing but paid traitors ruining their own economies at the behest of Saudi Arabia & other enemies of Democracy. In the end they want us to be slaves while our economies die.Paid flakes.Shills for Totalitarians, or Oil barons from the middle East. How Ironic!

  2. Obama will never let the Americans get our oil and won’t lose any sleep if the Chinese communists get it (more fuel for his fellow travellers). The anti-oil idiots will follow any flag. They were never smart to begin with.

  3. American oil companies operating in the Cdn oil patch have Billions invested.
who, is whispering what, in O’s ear?

  4. If the USA doesn t want the Keystone pipeline so what,China wants it,Japan wants it and India wants it.There is a huge market out there that wants petroleum and they don t care where it comes from or which group of enviro-nazis don t like it.Its a sellers market and if a bunch of enviro-weenies don t like it who really cares.

  5. “If the USA doesn t want the Keystone pipeline so what,China wants it,Japan wants it and India wants it.”
Here’s the deal though. The heavier oil from Fort Mac should be sent to the Gulf refineries where they have the technology and the capacity and the sweeter oil at hand to readily mix with the heavier stuff. Economically it makes the most sense and it really is a no-brainer for the US but Obama is in charge so who knows.

  6. The USA is a little bit confused right now and hopefully they will straighten out. As Rediford said the other day. If Keystone is turned down it will signal a fundamental shift in Canadian foreign policy. I’m not suggesting a political realignment immediately but economic ties usually led to other developments.
Canada has a strategically weak economy not just by over emphasis on USA purchase but also the over reliance on resource $’s. Accessing the American market is a hugh imperative and will continue. The spearhead of that relationship has been resource sales along with the Auto Pact. The auto industry anchor for Ontario is sinking. If resource sales come into question it will be the equivalent to when Canaada lost it’s preferred status to British markets when the Brits joined the EU.
Canada has no better ally than the Yanks. But Canada has national self interest that are not served by an over reliance on USA business. It is long overdue that Canada steps out on to the world stage with more confidence.
