Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Let the BASTARDS GO!!
Sure, it certainly is plausible that Pachauri’s culture status and intellectual cocoon is responsible for his attitude towards “deniers”. I don’t think it’s necessarily just an India (country)or Brahmin (religious) phenomenon. But these cliques of impenetrable elitism and undeserved arrogance dominate our secular and supposedly egalitarian culture as well. It’s pointless discussing scientific matters with those who believe a piece of paper from a university or VIP phone list makes them right and all others wrong.
On a semi-related note, last night I was watching a program on sharks where they tagged the beasts to better understand their behavior. Today I read a Nature article “Tagged seals help find missing piece in global climate puzzle”. It got me thinking that to better understand climate change researchers’ and political advocates’ behavior it might be beneficial to secretly tag them in a similar way. It might explain how they keep promoting bizarre solutions backed by mysterious modelling.
Pachauri desperately leads this counter attack on the “The Great Global Warming Swindle” film because it cuts the IPPC off at the knees….and threatens all their rice bowls….feather nests….Despite OBOZO’s SOTU speech….it is over….OBOZO and the USA EPA are flogging a very dead horse.
The article has links to which IMHO should be required viewing. If you have never watched “The Great Global Warming Swindle” you shall forever live in abject ignorance unless you do.
Tools such as Obama have never watched it…indeed have likely been advised it is fraudulent denier propaganda….IOW “SHUT UP”!
Pachauri is a member of India’s tiny economic and religious elite. In that context his imperiousness makes perfect sense. When he’s on his own turf, few people are likely to ever challenge or criticize this man.
That and his brown skin are exactly why he was appointed to the head of the IPCC. It’s all propaganda for the masses.
The world is run on illusion and perception, not factual truth.
Minx the Merciless is my HEEEERO!
Didn’t the British government close a steel mill in Britain owned by this fellow at his behest, and put 1800 workers out of work to get credit for reducing carbon emissions? Did not he then move the plant to India, reopened it there, and then got money for making the move? I have no links, but I believe this occurred during the fall after the big fiasco in Copenhagen.
President Obama Faces ‘Cliff Fatigue’ in Latest Budget Fight
ANALYSIS By RICK KLEIN
Hundreds of thousands of jobs are at risk. Delays await at airports. Padlocks are ready at national parks.
The nation will suffer greater risk of wildfires, workplace deaths, and even surprise weather events, if government predictions are to be believed. Our entire military readiness and superiority are at risk.
What if nobody cares?
President Obama sure does. He’s making the case, aggressively and comprehensively, that the automatic spending cuts set to go into effect at the end of the month will have a devastating impact, both on the economy and on essential government services.
“They will slow our economy. They will eliminate good jobs. They will leave many families who are already stretched to the limit scrambling to figure out what to do,” the president said Saturday in his weekly radio address.
But there are few signs to suggest the public is listening.
