1. It would be cynical and uncharitable of me to say that a progressive caught telling the truth is now news, presumably for the same reason that a three-headed chicken is also news, so I shan’t.

2. He didn’t contradict himself. That stupid journalist doesn’t understand what the word ‘diminsh’ means. Hint: it is not the same as ‘eliminate’. Oh well, it IS CNN after all. We can’t expect too much.

Previously, he said “we have a moral obligation to do everything in our power to diminish the prospect that something like this could ever happen again. There statements are congruent to anyone with the faculty to reason. Look, I detest the guy. But there’s nothing to see here folks.

   My suspicion is that the Donkeys were poised to advance this agenda after 2 events—OBOZO’s re-election and the first mass shooting thereafter.
   They have no expectation to get their “assault weapons ban” and never did. The ploy is to be “reasonable” and settle for
   more thorough/universal “background checks”…..IOW a national firearms registry.
   Registration always leads to confiscation. It didn’t happen in Canada but not for Alan Runt not trying.

8. It doesn’t matter what Joe Biden or Obama or any of them say or do. There is NO ONE who will even attempt to stop them. They have running a tyranny. If you oppose them strongly they will sic various agencies on you to make sure you are too busy to continue giving them grief. It appears to be over for the integrity of the constitution and for personal liberty in America. Bummer eh?

9. I am profoundly offended! Although those kids seemed a reasonably diverse bunch, none of them looked Asian or Native American or Australian Aboriginal or 1/64th Cherokee to me! And not a single one was obviously transgendered.
   Look, I think it’s cute that children “write” letters to the White House about issues they can’t really understand, let alone have anything useful to say about. Obama is basically Santa Clause, after all. I also think it’s an embarrassment that government officials are meant to pose with said kids (whose parents wrote the letters anyway)when talking about serious subjects. I mean, honestly. You tune in to on the President’s press conference and you’re not sure for a moment if you’re watching Sesame Street. It is insulting. It is beneath the dignity of a serious democracy.
   As for Biden, he had brain surgery twice in the ’80s. By now I think it’s fairly clear that this has affected him. Or maybe he’s just insane. But I guess it’s nice he was honest.

    Which questions then, why enact expensive laws which will not fundamentally alter gun deaths?
    Doing something for the sake of doing something isn’t how you solve a problem. I would venture that if the money they plan to spend on gun control was actually spent on problem based policing targeting the areas where crime is significant as well as diverting young people who start on the road to crime, as well as ending the war on drugs and working towards mental health – all those things would likely significantly alter the real problem which is young black men shooting each other over drug turf and rage.
    But hey. Going after legal boring law abiding gun owners – that’s easy.

    It is simply to infringe the 2nd Amendment right to bear arms.

Gun control is simply opportunistic and alternative theatre of distraction from the fact that these hysteria pimps (from both parties) have looted the treasury and must deceive the mindless (Phil?) into not revolting and putting them all behind bars where they belong. Biden had an accidental admission of truth just like Obama does once in a while. For these people, the truth will not set them free but should incarcerate them.

26. robbins111, you’ve underestimated the numbers. As of January 1, 2001, the federal government of Canada made simple possession of a firearm illegal.
    That is to say, they declared them all illegal and thus subject to confiscation at their future whim or convenience. That is somewhere between 15-20 million firearms.
    What the current Possession and Acquisition License means is that citizens(less than 2 million currently,) are leasing their own property from the government, under whatever arbitrary terms the government decrees.
    Prior to Bill C-68(1995), there existed a provision of the Criminal Code which prohibited the government from declaring prohibited commonly used sporting firearms. The Liberals removed that with C-68 and the Harper Conservatives have chosen not to re-instate it.
    Thus formally they’ve all chosen not to recognize the right of firearms for target shooting, nor for hunting and certainly not for self-defense, nor for resisting tyrannical government should that occur.
    This is the first time in the history of Canada for that to be so. We’re living on the waning political culture of a free and democratic society.
    How long that momentum will carry us is an interesting question.
    The MSM supports every police SWAT team emergency at even the hint of a presence of a firearm or toy replica. I don’t envy the future generations.

27. As an additional germ of thought, Joe may be smarter than you think, or his handlers may be. It kind of takes the wind out of the NRA’s sails when he admits fully that GC won’t make any significant difference. He is admitting this is all for fluff and he knows that will be OK with the leftard liberals.

The saddest part of this Freudian moment in mass media political messaging was the children who were not only used as political tools/props by a malefic statist cabal, but have been indoctrinated in anti-constitutional revisionist swill as well. A cynical ruling system which exploits children for its political ends is about as civilly compassionate as a coiled viper. The betrayal of public trust is beyond obvious.
