  1. “Liberal” is too soft a word. “Liberal” is what liberals call themselves because it sounds nice. They reason only wacked out right wingers have a problem with it. To them, liberal means “generous” “fair-minded” and “compassionate”. It sounds like “liberate” and isn’t that, they reason, what people want? To be liberated? To be free?
I say why not just call it what it is: “Marxist” or “SOCIALIST”?

  2. “Liberal” someone who’s own interests are not at stake at the moment!
For a liberal history starts every morning.

  3. Of all the misnomers in this world using the word “Liberal” to describe the sorry lot of humanity to which this word is affixed to is akin to blasphemy. I prefer the word ‘deathster’ since it seems that which ever way you turn they seek the death of something precious.

  4. Love it. Great parody of “So God made a farmer” by Paul Harvey.
The only problem is blaming God for liberals.
It would be more like Satan to make a liberal.

  5. William F Buckley: A liberal is a man who will reach in and adjust the temperature of your shower….

  6. Hayek would agree. Classical Liberalism began to disappear in the early 1900s and what was called liberalism was supplanted by Fabianism or another way, Marxist socialism.

  7. Socialism…….Godamn socialism just took $60,000 of my hard earned money out of my childrens hands and put it somewhere else( needle exchanges, wellfare, or maybe it went to Chief Spences diet plan). Last year I worked an average of 70 hours a week. My family made do without me as I worked my ass off to get ahead, in order to make a better life for my family. Yes, I made a lot of money(I am a self-employed contractor), bought a new suv, made some home improvements, but now I am stuck with this $60,000 tax bill. I don’t have a problem with paying taxes for infrastructure, defense,or healthcare, but where does it end? Really, can someone tell me where it ends?
This year I plan to work way less and pay the very minimal in taxes.
    Is this capitilism?

  8. Regardless of whether you are an employee or employer……the parasitic class DEMAND their pound of flesh. The working people, the ones that find the opportunities, solve the problems and create actual production, are being squeezed by the paper-pushing class who now view themselves as the elite gatekeepers of the economy. They stall, delay, obfuscate ad nauseum prohibitively keeping progress from happening all the while proclaiming how valuable and needed their services are to the ‘better good’.
Wake up, people. Why continue working your arse off to lose over half of your income to various levels of parasitic bureaucracies to fund the very same people that impede your production? Would your time not be better spent WITH your friends and families instead of beating your head against a brick wall trying to create ‘a better life’? Would it not make more sense to reclaim YOUR production for YOURSELF instead of having it stolen away from you?
I reduced my productive output years ago when I realised how futile it was to try and convince others that change (and work) was required to create a better future for our future generations. The ONLY WAY change will happen is to put the burden on them. Starve them out. Show them how useless and worthless they actually are. And that only happens when you hit them where they hurt and make them as desperate as the working class has become.

  9. Jan, your reply is spot on. Producers are being used by big fat bureaucrats who depend on people like Ryan. Fine people like Ryan who believe that other people in the country are as independent and upstanding as himself.
You have pin pointed the war against patriots, Canadian patriots. Thank-you.
An example of this inglorious practice is Parks Canada – the spokesmen who sprawl around in offices and attend fancy functions; eating and flying around on the taxpayers dime will not ‘cut’ their jobs (useless parasite loafers); they are the ‘top dogs’ so they choose to cut the jobs of the lowest on the bureaucratic rack, the people who DO a little. People notice the absence of frount line people and that is what Parks Canada wants – comparable to Chief Spends – these champagne welfare ilk want MORE from productive people to enjoy a lifestyle that the productive worker cannot have. The reason – the welfare elites take all of our money for themselves – productive people support 3 or 4 families!

  10. It goes well beyond the top bureaucrats, Jema54…..the ideology exists everywhere in all industry that is “government” mandated. Politicians tell us everything we want to hear, then do the opposite…..and people accept it? Safety, environmental, union, medical, educational, judicial…..all looking for pay raises on the backs of the average business person and those he employs.
Throw in the insurance and finance industries, changing rates and premiums at will, but never rewarding someone in return for having no claims due to there own diligence or being responsible enough to maintain a healthy savings…..No, they just rob you at a lesser rate…but only if your good.
Any sane, honest individual will see that the game in Canada is rigged. The only thing hard work will buy you in this country anymore is an early grave.

  11. Jack, Sasquatch; You’re missing a big part of the point. Liberal/Progressive/Socialist/etc are similar to the various terms used to describe homosexuals over the last 100 years or so: they adopt a term that sounds good, and use it until the word has been contaminated by its proximity to their group. They they drop it and find another word.
For me the most laughable one is “gay”. When the Flintstones theme was written, “let’s have a gay old time” didn’t mean that Wilma and Betty shared one roof while Fred and Barney shared the other, it meant “let’s be lighthearted and happy”. Is there a better example of newspeak?
