And the AGW-holes agree with you. As long as they are permitted to determine WHICH “actual observations” are used, and how much they are “adjusted”.

Jail would be nice, but it won’t happen. A former prime minister of Canada, a former Canadian bureaucrat is hiding in China, a former presidential candidate is making a fortune selling snake oil, and a fruit-fly doctor is making lots of money and still deluding people with this scam.
It does seem though that increasingly prominent climate science people are discovering their courage to speak out against the fraud.
The global warming fraud may now be seen for what it is, but the entire left including the gullible MSM didn’t get the memo. Neither did Obama, many politicians and a whole bunch of business and industry that is cashing in on the idiotic efforts to control it all.
We are not out of the woods yet.
And like all of the crooked wealth redistribution schemes, those responsible for them profit hugely and suffer no punishment for their crimes against the very people that they claim to be helping. Ho hum!!

I had to straigten out a good friend t’other day. He gulibly blurted out that we don’t have as much snow anymore….
I recall back in the 50’s hearing tales of mountains of snow in years past. I have since realized that…
1. They lacked the machinery to clear roads…in size and numbers.
2. The roads themselves have improved greatly.
Back in the 50’s road allowances were choked with hawthorns, wild apples between the road and the road fences. The trees and the fences are now gone. During the storm of 72 many roads were totally blocked….have now been raised a foot or so and the snow blows free….prior the sides featured winged up piles sometimes 8-10 ft high….
Here and there are county roads that have not been upgraded for 50-60 years….narrow and prone to drifting….with more frequent patrols than the upgraded roads.
Until the 70’s driving rural Ontario roads in winter was like driving through canyons….ya don’t see that anymore.
Then a township with 60 miles of roads had maybe 2 graders and maybe a tandem dump truck, with V-plows. Now there are maybe 8-10 trucks with 1-way plows…..some of the V-plows sit by the back fence at the yards…just in case…
Perhaps now the BC Government will take off the enviroMENTal tax on gas. Never happen – they are adicted to pushing this lie and income from the enviroMENTal tax.
Agreed. Lock `em up and throw away the key. Just as the warm-alarmist frauds wanted to do to us skeptics. Just as the Italian government is attempting to do to certain Italian seismologists who made pronouncements without stating uncertainties in those predictions (unprofessional conduct, BTW).
It’s easy enough to see trends in random data, that aren’t there. It requires discipline and experience to say, “those data are random. Extracting any sort of a signal is going to be difficult, possibly impossible.”
But the climate scam has been enormously profitable for some, and it still holds out the beacon of hefty new tax revenues for politicians.
The so-called catastrophic warming is predicted only in computer models that exaggerate the impact of CO2 on climate (the so-called “forcing” and/or “amplification” on H20, yes the evil oxygen dihydride), not matter what “consensus” the warmists spout on about. The entire model of AGW rests on these assumptions of results which have never, I repeat never, been replicated in real observations. The actual “forcings” are from junk scientists like Mann and charlatan rent seekers like Gore.
The models are so rife with error and data manipulation that they are completely useless; it should surprise nobody their predictions have never been close to actual observation. That won’t stop the charlatans because their goal has nothing to do with the environment or the climate, it is simply neo-marxism with watermelon “forcing.”
This gig was up when the US and European economies imploded where the “precautionary principle” approach is simply unaffordable (never was IMO).
If every person who read these forwarded these items as a matter of course to their MP and MLA, we might speed up the process.

And dude. DUDE. Look out your EFFING window. Is there anybody here over the age of 40 who can honestly say that winter is not warmer now than it was when you were a kid? Or has parents who can talk about how much colder it was when they were kids? COME ON! While these personal observations are not scientific, they demonstrate that in fact normal people have noticed how much warmer it has gotten.

Winter crops “not in a very good shape”
With temperatures running 7.2F to 10.8F (4C to 6C) below normal, abnormally low temperatures continue to hit Russia’s south.
The thermometer plunged to minus 13.6C in Makhachkala, the coldest since 1889, the Federal Hydrometeorological Center said.

Russia is enduring its harshest winter in over 70 years, with temperatures plunging as low as -50 degrees Celsius. Dozens of people have already died, and almost 150 have been hospitalized.
John – do you work for the weather channel? This past year that misnomer channel (should be called unca Mo’s propaganda tank) was out as much as 15 C reporting the temperature from Whitehorse – winter, fall and spring and summer. All warmer than it ever was; now why would that be? It was -35 in Nov. but the map said it was -14; in June the channel said it was 23, it was 14. Things that make me go hummm?
John, anecdotal evidence on both sides of the debate is not proof of anything…nor is falsified evidence and faulty data gathering and processing. When the IPCC and the UN decided to turn the issue into one of politics and wealth redistribution on a scale never before attempted, and when every opportunist with an axe to grind or a wind turbine to sell, stuck his hand in the public purse, I started to look more closely at THEM rather than the daily temperature and precipitation (which fluctuate much as they always have). It’s not whether climate is changing–I suspect it is. It always has done. It’s whether it needs to be interfered with and whether any of the so-called remedies will do much more than enrich the snake-oil merchants. All, I repeat ALL, of the effects projected by the hysterics in the climate-change industry have proved to be exaggerations or entirely wrong. (Why do you think it’s referred to as “climate change” now, instead of “global warming”?) I’m in favor of practices to reduce emissions, to preserve water, wilderness, wildlife, and other environmental measures. However, I resent how all these worthy concerns have been hijacked by the UN juggernaut who would have had us suspend our rational faculties and worship at the shrines of Suzuki and Gore. Their reputations are not quite so bright now–having been shown up as the self-serving hypocrites they are–but their legacy lives on like a stench which subsequent debunking can never manage to eradicate. Public policy, taxation, moneys given to ever-failing green energy ventures, that’s the legacy of the climate acolytes and oracles. It’s not so much the waste (although that is colossal) it’s the things that people are doing without as a result–health care, lower taxes, and money that could be devoted to positive things like maybe building a few well-designed nuclear power plants instead of more and mostly useless windmills.
The one testable quantity in the CAGW models was climate sensitivity. It’s a bogus variable, but nevertheless anyone can compute climate sensitivity based on global temperatures. Curiously, while the value of climate sensitivity has been plunging as the globe cools the correlation between climate sensitivity’s fall and the drop in value of carbon indulgences has been very strong. (Not so curious for those of us who know that taxing an essential atmospheric plant food is the height of idiocy).
The best analogy I can think of for this issue is of an incompetent engineer computing the temperature of a house based on the output of a furnace whose heat output rises steadily with time. The reason this hypothetical engineer is incompetent is that he’s neglected to note the fact that the house in question is equipped with windows that open and hence the temperature of the house can be lowered by opening them. The equivalent climate sensitivity variable for the hypothetical house suddenly plummets when one opens a window.
Willis Essenbach has written some great articles on WUWT when he examines how clouds act as giant radiators of excess heat into space. It’s obvious that we have a global cooling system that works far far more effectively than any of the climatologists thought and it likely upsets them greatly as it breaks their pretty supercomputer models which they arrogantly assumed totally captured the behaviour of the earth and it’s atmosphere.
We’re winning the scientific war and now have to turn our attention to the role of statists and watermelons in the attempt to use CAGW as an excuse to create a world wide dictatorship. Despite the vast preponderance of scientific evidence now being on our side it will likely take a popular revolution to dislodge this adherents of this watermelon religion from their positions of power. I doubt this will happen peacefully.
