  1. Just as an aside; is he shooting skeet or fogging for skeeters? I haven’t fired a shotgun in years but I don’t recall ever seeing that much smoke. Of course I didn’t hold a shotgun like that either because it was too painful the first time. Butt that high on the shoulder, cheek so low on the stock, failing to lean into the recoil yeah that’s gonna leave a mark!

  2. Other observations:
    – if he’s shooting skeet or trap, the pigeon must be awfully far away, judging by the low angle of the gun. Or maybe the sound of the trap flinging startled him into shooting early…
    – nobody told him how to hold the gun – against the left or right side of his *chest* (not the shoulder)
    – he’s also not leaning forward into the shot, as he should have been taught, presuming that someone taught him
    – wayyy too much smoke, making me think of blanks…

  10. Maybe he shot a gun, maybe not. What has that to do with the 2nd amendment?Shooting a gun is no indicator of anything. Its just firing a weapon. Which he does vicariously every day with drones.
    This is ideological theater with props. Not reason.

  11. What is stuck in the end of the top barrel? Looks like a practice nerf plug for identifying safe guns in training. And I agree, black powder? There’s a reason why they call it “smokeless” powder. At that point of shot with a real charge the stock would be quite deep into his shoulder. With a real shell, that shooting position is gonna leave a mark… Phonnnney.

  15. The smoke pretty much indicates he’s using popper rounds, such as used for bird dog training… a small bang, some smoke (black powder) and ‘no recoil.. I suspect the latter was demanded by Bammy..

  20. I would think that if you were shooting clays you would have a choke on both barrels. I only see a choke on the top barrel. With no choke the pattern would be so wide, you would hit nothing.
    The port on the right side of the barrel is correct for a left handed shooter. Those are definitely black powder blank rounds with that much smoke.

  25. Most of the skeet I’ve shot at required me to shoot up into the air… not level. Maybe I’m just not as fast as BO.
    I must be a pretty lame shooter too, ’cause I kinda lean into the gun, not the other way around.
    The other thing I find most curious is the amount of smoke… the guy can’t afford smokeless powder??

  29. Well my BS meter went off big time with the term “skeet”…..
    Most uninitiated assume “skeet” refers to any shooting at clays…and have no idea that most clay shooting is actually “trap shooting”…..
    As far as the picture is concerned it is consistant with the birth certificates…..it won’t pass even casual inspection…even the smoke is a dead givaway….
    An amusing thought just came….is the “won” now being subjected to intense training and practice to enable a live demonstration?….Ha Ha….

    Is that how it’s really described? I shoot targets and gophers. I don’t “do target shooting”or “do gopher shooting”
    Just sounds strange to me.

  33. Simplest explanations are best. They drove Obama out to a field somewhere, some staffer brought their gun and safety gear, and they spent a few minutes taking pictures while The One worked it like a professional model, posing for action shots and firing into the air.
    Body doubles and shopped props and backdrops (aside from minor airbrushing) don’t seem worth the trouble. As for date and timestamps, I don’t correctly set my camera half the time either.
