Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

"I got so much traffic after your post my web host asked me to buy a larger traffic allowance." - Dr.Ross McKitrick
Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
Short and sweet history lesson. The Muslim brotherhood will prevail as they are the true unifying force in their hatred towards Israel and anything other than the Koran. They know Obama secretly doesn’t give a damn and when push comes to shove will not intervene. 7 million Jews surrounded by 125 million Arabs. A good dictator always pays attention to the odds of success and the Muslim Brotherhood know their best chance is under a very weak leader in the USA, which Obama is. It will come to a head within the next 4 years.
Queue up the Arab Spring supporters, there’s nothing like a little murder and mayhem to make their day.
Now that the Liberal left has supported Obamba’s Liberation of Al Qaeda in Libya and backed the Billion+ in US aid meaning “military aid” to Egypt aka “the Muslim Brotherhood”, we can let the games begin.
Syria and Mali are next; the Socialist French President needs Mali’s Uranium especially since his 75% tax’s on the rich isn’t working out so well. Maybe the Canadian Liberals can succeed in pushing Harper into helping him out, since he won’t bend to the begging tactics.

Not intending to nitpick but there is +400 million members of the Arab League, not mentioning the over 2 billion Muslims living outside of the Middle East and North Africa who help finance efforts against Israel.
Many living in a community near you.

Should have said bordering Israel:)
The seldom mentioned problem in Egypt is a failing economy. Rising food prices and productivity can’t keep up to the population growth.
Tourism isn’t a big moneymaker given the violence, currently.
Later after the Salafis destroy the pyramids and what is left of the Sphinx(which they damaged a few hundred years ago but didn’t have modern artillery to destroy the pyramids). Tourism won’t ever come back.
Orthodox Islam seeks to destroys any evidence of religion except it’s own. Hence the destruction of the ancient Buddhist statues in Afghanistan by the Taliban.
If the M.B. government of Morsi doesn’t suppress the terrorists taking roaming the Sinai, as per their Treaty with Egypt, Israel will be forced to step in and take it over again.
The military control most of the business in Egypt, and they’re not giving that up. Though they might take their capital and leave if things got really bad.
The Coptic Christians are better educated and more active in business than the average Egyptian, if they left in mass, Egypt would never recover.
A little terrorism is cheap to fund, a war would devastate them. There is no Soviet Union to back them up this time like 1973.
The Muslim Brotherhood won’t be in power long if they don’t improve the economy.
Being elected presents them with a dilemma. Stay in power or stay ideological?

“Should have said bordering Israel:)”
Apologies, you are absolutly correct.
It should be noted though that it’s the whole Islamic collective globally that supports the genoncide of Isreal to one degree or another.
The last two chapters should tell us we are very wrong in bringing Muslims into this country. If only politicians would take the time to read and possibly understand.

But poverty is often a fanatic’s best friend, at least in terms of keeping power.
I don’t buy the theory that creating a middle or upper class will, in and of itself, eliminate Islamism (as has been bandied about on this site). If that were so, Saudi Arabia would not be funding terrorism and the affluent nineteen hijackers on September 11th might not have been hijackers at all. Let’s not forget that Israel is always a useful bogey-man for some. Tackling the ideology is all important. Muslim Brotherhood might not be able to argue will empty stomachs but it can always lie low.
Just my thoughts.

Agreed, you only need to observe modern Malaysia to see a prosperous Muslim middle class society, repress women, practice overt state sanctioned racism, and terrorize their northern Buddhist neighbours.
Otherwise the rice is cheap and the beaches fairly clean for vacationing hippies.
Islam thinks the WEst is weak. Which it is. But before it dies . Mushrooms will sprout all over the middle East.
But not under orders from the Chimp in Chief, Revnant Dream, because after all, he IS also the Muslim in Chief. Once one recognizes THAT fact, everything he does is far easier to understand.
