1) Obama’s petty tinkering with taxes will crash the economy even deeper into recession – people will protest (possible food riots when the food stamp program becomes overburdened) Obumbles will provoke a patriot uprising which will start over anti second amendment laws and his oppression of dissenters through TSA/DHS. The US will hit a monetary crisis (pension savings lost through devalued dollar) because of ongoing QE money printing. The Obama regime will become universally hated, but the media will still swoon over him like N.Korean media pimping a “dear leader”. Republicans in congress and Senate will also become distrusted by the public as they will aid Obama in undermining the republic and installing a US collectivist martial state.
2) The pony-boy will win the Librano coronation and go on to embarass the party with his not-ready-for-prime-time antics and nebulous policy alternatives. The Toronto media will tell us the sun shines out of his butt, however this will not be enough to get him elected PM. Harper will hold on to government possibly by a minority. Justin joins Dion, Iggy and Rae on the ash heap of failed Librano leaders. The party becomes a Toronto-Mount Royal regional rump party which only represents gated community lefties. NDP will remain a srong opposition party and Angry Tom will hav to go – repalced by a lore liberal leader to keep the Dippers lib-left coalition together.
3) People will become aggravated by constatnt Left fringe street politics. The public will also tire of Public sector Union rapicity and political trouble making. Federal union regulating will become law. Disorderly street protests/vandalism/squatters will be tamed by a federal act. 4) Liberal-run Ontario will end with a landslide protest vote when the public demand the new Dalton clone stand the test of confidence at the polls.

Isreal realizing that Iran is “that close” to a bomb and that Obama doesn’t care takes out Iran’s nuclear capability in a daring raid. A few Israeli pilots are captured and the Iranians declare victory. Ahmedenijad continues to call for wiping Israel off the map and his generals keep saying Israel is a “one bomb” country but the rest of the world can now breathe easier. The UN condemns Israel with a 7,000 to zero vote with Canada abstaining and Obama expressing “his deep concern”. Obama then hits the links for his 500th golf outing out his last 504 days as POTUS.
I am still getting over my failed Romney election call.
But bravely, I shall predict that reality will continue to intrude on the economic illusions of deeply indebted households and nations.
And our slow slide out of the current interglacial period will continue to be met with shrill demands that we give up our only means of keeping warm.

I predict that there will be a period of cold followed by warming starting around March or April. I also predict that people will continue to use telephones, ride in automobiles and that the US will continue to have a moron as president. The usual number of black swan weather events will occur and be blamed on a harmless gas essential for plant life. I predict that the Dow Jones average will not remain static. Human nature won’t change and the number of stupid people will continue to grow. Neophiliacs will trumpet the latest toy to come out from Apple as revolutionary while Moore’s law will continue to hold for a while longer much to the delight of video gamers. People will discover clothing patterns from the past and advertise them as the latest new thing.
In short, 2013 will be a lot like 2012 and, if anything earthshaking happens in the financial world in 2013, we won’t be aware of it until 2015 or so. The only thing I know for sure about 2013 is that if I continue to consume alcohol at this rate, I will be hungover tomorrow morning.

Democrats will continue to push gun control as hard as they can. The media will continue to help them. US gun sales will make a new, much higher record next year. The Republicans will pout and posture. Nothing will be resolved.
Taxes will rise. People will complain. The rich will move. Low-information and gimmegimme voters will continue to not have a clue and not care. Nothing will be done.
I figure the USA has at least one more year’s worth of the same old cr@p left in it before they hit the wall.
Canada by contrast will -stupidly- miss out on the opportunity to attract all the rich people and businesses leaving the USA. Again. Conservatives will continue to NOT show up to riot when the pinkos create their annual parade of outrages.

1. The US federal Government’s annual deficit will increae to $1.7 Trillion
2. Obama will improve his golf handicap.
3. California will go bankrupt.
4. The planet will not heat up.
5. Snow will melt
6. Obama will rule even more by edict.
7. The Canadian estblishment (saying liberal-left is redundant) will continue to undermine Stephen Harper as much as they can.
8. There won’t be an election in Ontario.
9. Trudeau fils will become the next Liberal leader.
10. CBC will drool over Him.
11. Hypocracy and stupidity will continue within the left.
Oh, and the Tim Hudak PCs will run on Right To Work and lose to the leaderless and corrupt Liberals in Ontario. Again.
The West will not return to observant Christianity and the world will continue its steady decline to hell in a handbasket.
The Pope will remain a Catholic.

2. The market (including gold) will correct – that’s more given than a prediction
3. “Idle no more” will push public opinion against different treatment for some and different treatment for others. One Canada for all!

An attempt will be made on the life of Barack Hussein Obama as the Romanianization of the United States begins in earnest. It will not succeed. It will not be the last.
The leader of an EU puppet government in southern Europe will also have an attempt made on his life. This one will succeed.
Hillary Clinton will never leave the hospital. Foul play to prevent her from becoming the next Ion Iliescu will never be convincingly ruled out. Bill will remarry by Christmas.
Hugo Chavez will follow Hillary shortly behind. Venezuela will remain in Communist hands regardless.
Canada will fall back into recession as the US is Romanianized.
At least one more Middle Eastern or North African nation will fall into Islamist hands. The US will do nothing to stop it.
The Coalition government in the UK will fall. Labour will return to power—the real news story will be a respectable UKIP caucus in the House of Commons. Nobody in a position to do anything about it will listen to Nigel Farage in London either. There will be no further serious discussion of a referendum on UK withdrawal from the EU.
Scottish separatists, meanwhile, will continue to make trouble and preach treason, just like their friends and admirers in Québec, utterly unmolested.
Oil prices will continue to fall. Alison Redford will take this as an excellent excuse to bless Alberta with a PST. For all that emigration to Alberta of able-bodied, hardworking Americans will increase.
Justin Trudeau will become Liberal leader and continue digging his party’s grave.
The kingdom of God will approach a little nearer, and His patience fray a little further.
Nothing will change, just get worse.
..and I’m being optimistic.
I predict that there will be a period of cold followed by warming starting around March or April. I also predict that people will continue to use telephones, ride in automobiles and that the US will continue to have a moron as president. The usual number of black swan weather events will occur and be blamed on a harmless gas essential for plant life. I predict that the Dow Jones average will not remain static. Human nature won’t change and the number of stupid people will continue to grow. Neophiliacs will trumpet the latest toy to come out from Apple as revolutionary while Moore’s law will continue to hold for a while longer much to the delight of video gamers. People will discover clothing patterns from the past and advertise them as the latest new thing.
In short, 2013 will be a lot like 2012 and, if anything earthshaking happens in the financial world in 2013, we won’t be aware of it until 2015 or so. The only thing I know for sure about 2013 is that if I continue to consume alcohol at this rate, I will be hungover tomorrow morning.

There’s going to be a hacker attempt on the banking industry this year which will be followed by massive regulation which drives small banks under. Good idea to have hard copies of your account info.
There’s going to be a crop failure in the USA which drives the price of food crazy here in Canada. Drought is going to continue in the central plains with some very small exceptions. Good idea to grow some food.
There’s going to be a massive earthquake on the west coast of North America followed by a tsunami which devastates a major north western city (possibly Seattle)
There will be volcanic activity upon the “Ring of Fire” around the Pacific, which will cover 1/2 of N.A. in an ash plume…
The American dollar will collapse and people will resort to trading stuff to buy food.
Or so I’ve heard…
B.C.’s economy will collapse due to a combination of (a) the loss of Washington State as customer for their No.1 cash crop (b) the election of the NDP who promptly (c) ban all pipeline building activity. Hopefully the “high-tech” video game industry and B-grade movie making can sustain their economy as their tourism industry collapses due to their unfortunate position of being stuck at the end of the country and nothing but pissed off neighbors to the east.
The CBC will be unable to adjust to the loss of HNIC. Desperate times call for desperate measures; they will ditch Suzuki and produce a new science series featuring Tim Ball, M&M etc. Too late to draw any viewers back, but crazy enough to confuse all the politicians.
