  1. Way down at the bottom of the article;
” Lynn Redford declined Monday to discuss questions about her expenses.”
    Why does that sound familiar?
Oh yeah, big sis Alison used basically the same response when asked about the donation from Katz.
We have elected the western version of the McGuintys.

  2. This,from the article,also should raise an eyebrow or two;
” AHS chair Stephen Lockwood has previously said he wants to move on rather than comb through spending records of the previous boards”
The rot in a wealthy gov’t is usually much more widespread than in a cash-strapped one.
    Go,Danielle,Go.

  3. I can hardly believe this is going on in my former home province. Living in BC, this is just business as usual, but I always thought they were smarter in Alberta. Oh well, not to worry, the end is near and we can start over fresh.

  4. It never seems to change. Always that portion of pigs at the trough with no respect for the taxpayers money.

  5. Can anyone do stuff like this at work and not even have to answer questions? Would the Cops not ask questions if Joe Clerk took money from the till at the gas bar?

  6. This is related,I don’t have a link(just heard it on the news),but the Alison gov’t will put in a ban on smoking in cars while children are inside throughout the province,I wonder if the AHS had much input in that law.
Also, smoking in Calgary’s parks will soon be an offense. Next up,let’s take down all the oak trees because of those pesky acorns.

  7. Time and again it is found that leftists and “progressives” are corrupt. Why they should be especially corrupt is a good question, but corrupt they are.
The great shame is that the Alberta PCs allowed themselves to be infiltrated by leftists.
A cab driver said to me today, almost casually, that PMSH will be defeated in the next general election. Justin Trudeau will be the man of the hour. Now Newfs do hate PMSH with a passion
(evidence of their collective stupidity and inferiority even to other Canadians) but without doubt pretty hair will take Justin a long way.
At least Justin is some kind of a man, unlike the pooftah who presides over the US.

  8. They. Are. All. The. Same.
Agree John Lewis. Trudeau should not be discounted. He’s nowhere near as intelligent as his father but he has the same uncanny luck, sense of opportunity, ability to scheme, and he has the entire media on his side. He also would do one more thing and that’s merge with the NDP in some fashion to gain power.

  9. There is more to the story, again I don’t have a link, just heard it on the news.
They are reporting that little sis Lynn was running around being a ‘gofer’ for the PC’s while on the health payroll.
    The rot is deep.

  10. where there’s smoke…i mean where there’s money there’s corruption. is there anything new under the sun?

  11. where there’s public money, there’s fire and lots of smoke.
gotta burn thru it, then complain there ain’t enuf.
Now the G&M is covering for the REDfords?

  12. Obama re-elected, Redford’s party re-elected, Mguinty re-elected.
A lot of smart voters out there. Hello Greece. Hello europe.

  13. The full weight of the Alberta treasury will be in play against the tobacco companies where the payoff could be huge for the Redford family and yet we hardly hear a squeak from our media. If this isn’t conflict of interest on the premier’s part then the meaning of the concept has been lost.

  14. @ ghost of Ed: yeah. And right after they are elected all the corruption, scams, and failures get revealed.
Almost makes you wonder whose side the media is on….

  15. “…All the expenses were approved by Calgary health board executives at the time. …”
so who is to blame ?

  16. Justin Turdeau! Are you kidding? This fool has his fathers arrogance and his Mommys brains. What could possibly go wrong, his old man damned near destroyed this country with his Multi-Cult BS,which in reallity only applies to those provinces that are not Quebec. Then we have Bilingualism and Metrication a couple more of the exalted ones wet dreams.Pee-Air Idiot Turdeau was the absolute worst thing that ever happened to this country, big thanks to the lefty media, and now the spawn of Satan wants to follow in Daddys footsteps.Stephen Harper is by far the best Prime Minister Canada has ever had.If the people of this country elect an unaccomplished drama teacher instead of Harper they and the country deserve whatever befalls them and it won t be pretty!

  17. Typical Lieberal behaviour. I hope that once the conservative camouflage is removed all the Alberta voters who pay little attention to politics will realize how they were hoodwinked last election.

  18. It is always bad for democracy when the Fourth Estate is in the tank for the Second Estate. It is not only Alberta that is suffering from this at the moment.

  19. Well said Frankemm… The media loves to smell the farts of Pierres kid, but will Canadians be fooled by Turd 2… some morons will be… as for the rest… I doubt it.

  20. Justin will definatley get the youth vote , but i am 34 male and you could not pay me to vote for him even if his platform was reasonable .
He has no expierience, he loves the publicity the french love the guy so maybe the french and the youth vote …that still leaves harper with the majority so yeah i am worried but not much .
canadians have some common sence still i believe . albertans are stubborn so we will see what happens next election.

  21. Canadian Friend: “so who is to blame ?”
Those who approved the expenses, the point that most of the posters here seem to have missed.
Paul in Calgary, the name Trudeau is loathed in most parts of Quebec, particularly outside Montreal. There’s no great swathe of Liberals lining up to vote for pretty pony in that province even if the Liberals weren’t mildly troubled with assorted corruption scandals.

  22. “Trudeau should not be discounted. He’s nowhere near as intelligent as his father…”

Please, please, please give me just one shred of evidence to prove Trudeau The Elder’s much-vaunted superior intellect.
He lacked the intellectual rigour to complete his studies at Harvard; he poisoned the atmosphere with his closest neighbour and biggest trading partner; he suck-holed around commie dictators; he stuck us with a constitution that is devoid of property rights; he divided Canada with his linguistic, cultural and energy legislation; and he chose Margaret as his wife.
    Yup, he was absolutely brilliant.
