  1. The best thing about Taliban Jack is that he never got into a position of power where he was able to implement his socialist policies and destroy the country. We really should be making a movie to honor the Canadian voters that made sure this didn’t happen.
Taliban Jack was a parasite his whole life and at no point did he actually do anything productive. The lowliest janitor sweeping a factory floor accomplishes more every night than Taliban Jack did during his whole lifetime.
Layton was a full time member of the political class which can best be viewed as a cancer killing the society in which it resides; maybe we should be making a movie about Layton’s cancer as what it did was isomorphic with what Layton had in store for Canada.
What I hope to see in my lifetime is a mention of members of the political class eliciting the same emotional reactions in people that one gets by bringing up pedophiles now. When the political class is thus regarded, we’ll be on our way to achieving the full technologic potential that we can instead of reverting to a primitive society where the political class expects to find itself in charge.
Taliban Jack should be given the same consideration as an ejected tapeworm that is flushed down the toilet. I couldn’t care less whether Taliban Jack frequented prostitutes but the plaque at the site of his favorite rub and tug would probably be over-adolation as I’d put his memorial inside a sewer.

To Quote Kate. “I do not care about fair I want to win.”
So the only thing people can come up with is he was good to have a beer with him. Except if you are between him and a camera. What a lame compliment.
I don’t care what politicians say about Jack. Of coarse they have to say nice things.
While flying over the oil sands Taliban said “i am going to shut this place down.” So I always viewed Jack a a mortal enemy to Alberta. So when he died I went out for a good lunch. One should not morn someone who by their own words and actions is a clear and present danger to your well bing.
As far as being nice screw that this is why we are in this mess. Compromising with the left still takes you left only slower.
Plus it is a ploy the left uses to get you to shut up. You do not want to be like them you should be quiet.
Gordie Howe was not a Great Hockey player because he skated around being nice.
    So everybody elbows up.

  3. I do not feel the least bit like honouring the memory of Jack Layton.
Just so the revisionists can fabricate a legend about this parasite?
    Fagheddaboudit.

  4. Paul , “but I don’t think he was the devil, merely misguided with personal failings at times.” I have to respectfully disagree. The ideology Jack represented is very devilish and some of us have knowledge of the end results. At best, moderates espousing and implementing his ideology destroy the human spirit.
What Bruce, Loki, and Ford Prefect said.
Thanks Jema. I have no truck with commie lites, no matter how sincere they seem, as they cave to the radicals at the first opportunity.
BTW, I received a reply from the Conservative Government to my misgivings about Tony Clement’s honouring of the Mao sympathizer Dr. Bethune. It was a signed form letter that only thanked me for my letter, but did not comment on the despicable event.

  5. Jack Layton cost me money – I had to get my dog fumigated and shampooed after Smilin’ Jack patted her at a parade.

  6. Paul- please seek help. Have you been ingesting those orange-topped, white-spotted mushrooms?

  7. … and Kate could design the plaque. Then it would be done with verve and gusto. Although she doesn’t do porn …

  8. Jack sure had a pair of elbows…in a hockey bar…in front of a camera.
About sums up his raison d’tre I think.

  9. If people can be forced to pay for documentaries lauding the dead, then they can critisize the dead too.
(BTW, I’ve found some lost footage from that PET film.)

  10. Well, not “documentary”. “Biopic” I guess is the term. Or slobbering love-in or something.

  11. I find it interesting that since Jack!’s death, no one has mentioned exactly just what type of cancer it was that ate his body alive so quickly..the mere fact(if rumours among the gay community are to be believed..) that Jack! died of an AIDS related cancer should have been cause for concerned as it was quite possible that he could have become the next PM of Canada.
On a related note, it has been rumoured for years that Jack was Bi or closeted gay..if this is the case, should it not have worried more people re; the possibility of blackmail from foreign powers, given his proclivities and devotion to Marxism?
Surely, this would not have gone unnoticed by foreign intelligence services.

  12. Kursk, please stop with the suggestions that our beloved Taliban Jack was bi and died of AIDS. If that was a fact, the Left would demand we change the name of the Country to “Laytonia”, and we’d have a shrine to Saint Jack in the center of every city in the land.
I believe JL may very well have been bi,and also had a predilection for underage girls. I also believe Olivia agreed to look the other way because she was just as greedy for a prime spot at the public trough as was JL himself.
The celebration of this man’s life that the Left just can’t seem to get over,is so absurd. The man was all about appearances, nothing more.
This isn’t Schweitzer we’re talking about, but a silver-spoon teat-sucking socialist who never earned an honest dime in his bloody life!
That CBC would waste taxpayer’s money on a movie about a thitd-rate politician who accomplished nothing while defaming our troops is a total outrage.
And I DO NOT understand James Moore’s attitude toward toe CBC,perhaps he intends to jump ship and run for the NDP next election.
