Its getting real close to the time for Mitt to take the gloves off. This Phoney-in-Chief needs to be throttled.

The reason you aren’t, is that legions of Republicans are scared to death that the Democrats will call them racists. So, they’ve told Mitt t be very nice to the street punk organizer president, meaning don’t tell the truth.
It’s a felony to share or distribute illegal drugs, regardless of whether or not there is an exchange of money.

I think that everything the liar in chief says in this campaign directed at Mr. Romney, is a reflection of his inner guilt for hating America.

When the most un-American, anti-American president in US history, by orders of magnitude, can insinuate that someone like Mitt Romney is un-American, you just know that there’s some sort of untouchable sense of social entitlement in play.

Romney needs to focus on two issues – jobs and the economy. And making the election a referendum on obamas failure in dealing with them.
The myriad of other issues – Obamacare, fast and furious, etc need to be spearheaded by the large supporting cast – sunnunu included that the GOP has funded by the enormous pools of cash that the superPACs have.
The Chimp in Chief knows very well his slobbering fans at ABCNNBCBS and their dead-tree fellow travelers will make SURE that question is never raised. Just as they will do with Sheriff Arpaio’s news conference today on the forged birth certificate.
I think the obvious hit back is pegging Obama as a hypocrite calling others liars when he isn’t even homest about his past.
Ask him why he chose Bill Ayres to dhost his phony bio. Ask him for his real birth cirtificate.
The Republican inner circle (the ones who hate Sarah Palin) wanted Romney and his money.

Bringing in Sinunu is a contrivance. It demonstrates that the Ken doll campaign is trying to limit exposure already, which means that they are hapless and overwhelmed. Business experience doesn’t mean sh*t, and it never has amounted to much in the political arena. Romney’s momentum was all media fluff. There was never any substance to a campaign that based itself on “the other guy can’t beat Obama.” They have completely fumbled on gaining ground from the supreme court decision and now they can’t even put up a decent response regarding the separation from Baine. Such as… “I can understand why the president is having difficulty understanding the complex nature of my departure from Bain Capital; he has never had a job handling millions of dollars in contracts requiring SEC licensure and corporate oversight.. a fact that’s become pretty obvious. More to the point, this president vilifies what he doesn’t understand… blah, blah.”
Certainly that’s better than what we’re getting.
No matter who’s elected in 2012, before 2017 bond markets will revolt, the US government will run out of other people’s money and the armed forces of the United States will desert or mutiny en masse and join the people. Christmas is coming to Washington, Bucharest-style.

Tell y’all something. I’m in Boston today, Mitt Romney’s freakin’ back yard. My completely unscientific bumper sticker poll is Obama 9, Romney 3.
Important note, almost -nobody- has any bumper stickers at all, beyond sports teams and those family stickers. Very, very stealth out here. Which I find odd, because normally Americans plaster their cars with those things.
Also of note, spotted 5 smelly hippies with WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER, Coexist, PEACE!!! and all that all over their car… and no Obama sticker. Two smelly hippies with Obama.
So the -serious- hardcore DemocRats are out there, Obama may have lost the smelly hippie segment of his base at five to two, and Romney is freakin’ invisible. GOP isn’t on the street at all.
You wouldn’t know there was an election this year, seriously. No sign of anything going on, not even in the Harvard/MIT corridor of Cambridge.
So, just from a foreigner’s cursory view, Romney needs to get his thumb out of his @ss bigtime.

But I agree with Gord – let Romney hammer on the two main indefensible issues (well, it’s really one, isn’t it?) jobs and economy. Let the attack dogs go nuts on the other stuff, so Mitt can stay above the fray, and appear presidential and restrained.
Given that Romney is vying for the votes of the near brain-dead (independents who voted for Obama in 08), his spin doctors look at the favourable “likability” polls on Obama and advise him to stay away from the personal garbage that stinks to high heaven.
If there is a debate Romney should bring it out with both barrels blazing as Obama would get tripped up by not expecting it. If he were seen fumbling rather than his normal prepared lecture / union rabble rousing style, Romney would look better to the malleable.
I thought it was generally accepted that Massachusetts was going Obama no matter what. There is no need to expend resources in a state that’s beyond hope. There were Romney signs and a fair amount of congressional candidate signs in Washington and Oregon last week. California was a dead zone with nothing. It’s going demoncrap 100%.

Justthinkin – the tea party is not on the same page as the Bain guy, the tea party crowd are mostly Patriots. The tea party is cheering for Ron Paul.
The way that the Mitt folks have treated the Ron Paul folks proves that the Mitty is not a stranger to street thuggery. One delegate got his finger broken by a GOP Mitt guy because he refused to step down from his elected chairmanship of a delegate selection. Reminds me of the PCs during early Reform days.
When is the GOP going to answer for the selection of a man who cannot win? Mitt is as appealing as lard, he has a milquetoast personality, he has too many skeletons in the closet to challenge any wrongdoing by anyone (lest he be exposed), he has no imagination, he could not fight his way out of a wet paper bag – the man relies on thugs to do his dirty work. Mitt was chosen to lose to Bama but not to lose to a far better man, Ron Paul. Why?
The man who appeals to the tea party is Ron Paul. Ron Paul appeals to independents and to us women too. Everyone but the people haters, the America haters, the freedom haters in the GOP/DEM/MSM tower of babble, love Ron Paul. I would vote for Ron Paul if I were an American and I would write his name on the ballot if he does not get the GOP nomination. Bammy/Rommy are the same ‘thing’; Gorgie Porgie said so – and when Geogie Porgie (Soreas Boob Rhys’ Unca Mo) says something like that, he speaks truth.

While I understand that, at the end of the day, Mitt has to be the one to respond to any real criticism/questions about the public implications of his business dealings or whatever (it has to come from the horse’s mouth), I’m basically with Gord Tulk, 6:34a.m. and KevinB, 12:56p.m. As we have been discussing, I think that the Romney campaign has a strategy for keeping any debate on Bain is the real world, and I’m content for now to let that take its course.
I’d add to Gord’s and Kevin’s comments that I think that Obama’s overreach on Bain capital is seriously undermining him right now. He ought to be working to unite Americans and divide Republicans. Instead, he’s doing a masterful job, IMO, of uniting Republicans and dividing Americans. In fact, Obama’s strategy appears to be more one of destroying American unity than destroying Romney: I think Obama has concluded that provoking a big cat fight is his best chance of re-election (whom he fights with seems to me to be almost incidental, oddly enough).
So, if my read is correct, why would Romney take the bait? I’m reminded in this of Stephen Harper’s behaviour: he won in 2011 by not responding to the provocations and stupidity, and he has conducted himself in a professional, measured way since (focussing always on the economy). He has done this notwithstanding the bloviations of the media and supporters of the left, the foibles of some of his own people and the outrageousness of some of the Charter court decisions. Some of his supporters may want more, faster (me included), but he’s making steady progress and entrenching the Conservatives’ position.
So I’d advocate a bit of patience with Romney. Obama’s behaviour is disgraceful and tone-deaf on so many fronts, and I think many Americans (hopefully a solid majority) see that. One of the things I think many Americans are looking for is someone who can tone down the divisiveness — and that’s Romney, not Obama.
KevinB at July 17th 12:56pm, I’m sitting on Vassar street in MIT right now. There are hundreds of kids strolling around here. There is no parking. If they all went home for summer, it’ll be standing room only come September.
Despite the massive traffic and large number of kids in cars I see no stickers.
My point is that Barry has -very- few partisans out there with bumper stickers. Romney has even fewer. Out of the thousands of cars I’ve driven past since Sunday you can count the Obama stickers on your fingers. Romney stickers on one hand.
Romney should acquaint himself with some “ungentlemanly fighting” because Obama sure as hell isn’t fighting fairly.
