  1. California needs the extra tax monies..
A new study from the Federation for American Immigration Reform:
The costs of education, health care and incarceration of illegal aliens,
concludes that the costs to Californians is $10.5 billion per year.
Each taxpaying family pays an extra $1,200 (redistribution) tax per year for cheap labor immigrants.

    GO EAST YOUNG MAN!

  2. But the state’s saving grace, according to most? The weather.
Is it now? I hear Rhodesia has a fairly similar climate, but it’s hardly a great business destination any more.
Kate: The good Lord was willing to spare Sodom for the sake of ten righteous men. I wonder could California’s ten righteous men be persuaded to come to Saskatchewan.
First step would be identifying them. I don’t know who they are, and the Lord isn’t telling. Anybody want to give it a go?

  3. I watched a Wayne Allan Root Video this morning, in which he referenced Ayn Rand’s novel “Atlas Shrugged” The book’s premise is that of business owners going on strike when socialists start running the state, country and the economies. Business owners are striking in California and moving to business friendly states such as Texas, Florida, the Carolinas,Georgia and even the mid-West. Mr. Root’s thesis is that if President Obama wins a second term, then business owners will be actively looking to change countries. He even noted that the US is considered 10th in the world for business friendly policies and that Canada is considered 6th. If President Obama wins the second term, perhaps, BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan will see an influx of Americans immigrating to safely move their businesses. I think we should put out the Welcome mat!

  4. Socialists governing California…what a waste of a beautiful climate.
Maybe the people will wake up someday. Hopefully the people of Vancouver wake up and throw out Soros’s sock-puppet.

    Pick Me, Pick Me!!!

  6. Well Big Momma, I wouldn’t call BC a business friendly province and with Alberta reelecting their socialist government, it would appear Sask is the only bastion of hope left.

  7. The other states at the bottom of the list were Massachusetts, NY, Michigan, and Illinois. Along with California we have the 5 states with the strongest union influence, and a history of democrat / liberal rule. No Arnold doesn’t count as republican.

  8. The leftard LA Times tries to minimize and distort this very clear writing on the wall. DeNial isn’t just a river in Egypt.
California ranked the worst, with the others in the bottom five also being blue states, ruined by the Democratic Party and the public employees unions. Texas the best and the others in the top ten all being red states. Think there’s a distinct correlation there?!
BTW the leftard LA Times’ reference to former Gov. Grey Davis doesn’t mention that he’s a Democrat and so bad a governor, with such a disastrous result on the state’s finances that he caused the first recall election in California history, booting Davis but unfortunately resulting in the election of Uber-RINO Schwarzenegger.
Speaking as a former resident of California, of 20 years including the first 8 disastrous years of Gov. Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown in the 70’s, I can attest that all of California’s financial problems stem from two basic causes:
    1. the Democratic Party
    2. the public employees unions
Tragedy! California was a wonderful place to live and work when I first arrived there. California, before its “progressive” ruination, produced 1/7 of America’s GDP.
