Currently, the chief electoral officer is investigating more than 70 cases of improper donations from municipalities, public school boards and the like to support the Tories to assure preferential funding. Alberta’s own mini AdScam.

Although, in general, I agree with Knight 99. Scripture says to plant a seed, if it’s not accepted, walk away. Mathew 10:14, and other places.

“I agree with Knight 99. Scripture says to plant a seed, if it’s not accepted, walk away. Mathew 10:14,”
Amen brother.
Must be doing something right to bring out all the Christian haters the way I have. Actually Matthew 10: 14 refers to shaking the dust off your feet not planting seeds. I have shaken the dust off my feet on various occasions just as I have planted seeds on many others. That being said there comes a time to defend the faith that has produced the society we are fortunate enough to live in. Our present society did not come about in a vacuum and those who denigrate the foundational belief of our society are playing with a fire they can not even begin to comprehend.
Let me put it this way. If a man stands up and says, “If you want to go right then go right” should he be considered a hater of all those who want to go left? Don’t know about anyone else on this thread but the reaction I have received certainly shows me that the anti-Christians are an intolerant bunch.
Joe >
Now our just plain lying, not one person has come forward on this thread and said they were anti-Christian. Anyone commenting against you has been commenting against YOU and your fanatical fringe belief in Christianity.
Do you really believe that you can sway Christians that believe in love and peace with some sort of guilt, since the fear didn’t work?
The considered opinion here is that:
The idiots in political parties are in constant shift mode.
It was at one time that conservatives were conservatives.
Today, in Alberta, they are socialists. It is interesting how they get corrupted to get elected.
Ralph Klein, whatever you think of him, whatever hue of politics he was, he clearly stated, without any doubt whatsoever what he was going to do. The interesting thing about it was, that as soon as he was elected with an overwhelming majority, those with a mouthpiece and access to the media complained that he was doing this and that, which was precisely what he said, he was going to do.
It is, of course, that the news manufacturers do this on constant bases, it is their business to create something out of nothing, sort of like a blond reaching out here and there for thoughts that she insist fly around to be picked up at a whim.
Here and now I would say enough of ranting.
No apologies were ever issued to Sloan. Goudreau resigned from a cabinet policy committee (which he got paid for), but he’s running again as a Tory. Redford signed his nomination papers.
I heard an ad on a Grande Prairie radio station for Hector Goudreau, as in “re-elect” Hector Goudreau on Tuesday.
No mention of the Alberta PC party or Tory or Conservative in the ad. Nada.
I waited till the end of the ad and heard it a second time later and paid attention the whole way. I knew there was something fishy about the ad. I said to myself “I bet he is a PC’er” and checked online and sure enough.
By now, there is a well known story of what Ron Leach said, the other story that disappeared from video is, that another candidate of different persuasion and shade, said something that confirmed Leache`s point exactly to the point. Can`t find it, cant`t give a link.
It is just plain weird the way the media operates. You may say the media can make up a story, without any effort whatsoever. It is as though they are in some kind of never, never land of pure fantasy.
Here we have another Liberano/Dipper/Progressive troika! Danielle needs to tell all Albertans that Redfraud will ‘hook up’ with the Pinkos; Mason will be driving the boat whilst the Liberanos/Dippers and Red Alison drive Alberta over the cliff. It was all planned before the election (likely).
Danielle needs to repeat again and again – all weekend: “What Alberta needs is a strong, Wild Rose Conservative majority. The troika would be much worse that the old PC majority and just look at that corrupt Progressive outfit!
All good Albertans who value your province – boot out the Troika – vote and vote Wild rose. WR have lots of scrutineers. Never say ‘Conservative’ in any reference to Alison Redfraud or her MPs – call them what they are, ‘Progressives’. The “progressive Troika’ will kill the oil sands and bankrupt every Albertan- get that idea out there Danielle! It is not too late.
The corruption is as deep as a liberal compost pile.
The Progressives have perverted all Albertan values.
Now is the time for people to collect copies of video clips of people disparaging the Wildrose Party. The PCs are going to get lonely once the party dries up and blows away. It would be nice to know their true feelings when they come knocking in 5 years.
Do you really believe that you can sway Christians that believe in love…
Speaking of love, love also includes correction. Most people correct their children if they love them.
Sooo, if you love your enemies, you correct them…
fiddle >
“Sooo, if you love your enemies, you correct them…”
Like a two way street right? Then we shall continue to express our love and correct Joe as much as humanly possible.
Then we shall continue to express our love and correct Joe as much as humanly possible.
Haha, okay.
I was thinking more in terms of correcting the socialists. Monday should be a start…
Interestingly, back in the OT they gathered up the believers in the pagan god Baal in a building by pretending to also be believers. Then they killed them all.
Wouldn’t suggest such drastic action, but some parallels can be drawn…

Yea, I’m a little disappointed, I thought Joe promised to smote me like a flea or something akin with his wickedly sharp intelligence, but it looks like he ran away before he could dazzle me with his brilliance. Oh well, another one bites the dust.
Must be real tough for a politician that is being baited to say “no comment” … or, “I’m just here to help the party, and God willing …”
If you want to know what Alison McGuinty is up to Google UN Agenda 21
Went to a Scrutineering organization mtg for the wildrose riding I live in – very relieved to say that we have enough volunteers to watch every poll and to help report back to hq and get out the vote.
Should be a good Monday
Ps- for those who haven’t – call your local wildrose Hq and volunteer to help – they could use it and you will be helping grassroots democracy bloom in Alberta.
The MSM must have re-printed and re-torqued the specious story about Leetch being a racist all last week. I was concerned at one point when Rick Bell at the Sun suggested Smith was going to turf him. Instead Smith gave a spirited and truthful defence of her decision to keep Leetch.
No one knows what will happen Monday. But have the conviction that the MSM slagging of Smith over this fake issue appeals largely to people who would never support her anyway.
Objective polling still shows voters have firmly decided that the legislature up in Edmonton needs a large enema. And that Danielle Smith is highly qualified to administer the needed treatment.

“graham hicks says pc will be better for Edmonton.”
Right. The polls in the rural are 52% wrp and a lot less then that for every one else. Although Calgary Softened for the rose because the libral pc jumped ship and then jumped ship again they did not jump back to the pc but the but to the liberals and dippers.
So hicks thinks Edmonton should vote pc so they can do what? With the numbers down south pointing to a rose majority. Edmonton will be represented by the party that spent the whole campaign calling us names and pissing off the Christians.
Someone needs to ask Hicks if anything he just said sounded stupid.
two more sleeps.
Advance polls now done, approximately triple the turnout of last election in my constituency. A better sign is special ballots: if you’re going to be out of town, you don’t worry about it if the election result is a given. Apparently folks aren’t thinking that; we had over 300 special ballots, a huge number.
Reports of two advance poll problems: one constituency in Calgary wound up with some ballots with another constituency’s candidates printed on them. Not a biggie. The other was also in Calgary where there were problems with language interpreters possibly “helping” voters from specific ethnic backgrounds with their selection. You can guess which party (cough, PC) tried that stunt. Unbelievable.
Big turnouts are good news for Wildrose; the theory is that if the PC’s “intolerance” gambit gets significant traction, WRA voters won’t switch to the PCs, they’ll just stay home.
Turtle, possibly high voter turnout can also be lefties who normally don’t bother voting in AB elections but now finally see a chance to get one of their own (back) into the premier’s chair?
We voted last night and there was a long lineup at the advance station. A lot of young people lining up as well…not your usual conservative voters. This was in a Calgary riding that’s predicting a 30 point win for WildRose.
Redford is going to win. I know this because she tells me so. She is the soul sister of the One, the big O, Barry’s sister, BHO’s sister. With creds like that how could she lose. In 2008 Barry turned back the rising sea now Red Allie is turning on Albertans.
Read this beauty quote from Rick Bell in the Calgary Sun.
http://www.calgarysun.com/2012/04/22/redford-sees-momentum
“Does Redford have a last thing to say to Albertans?
She reflects back to her leadership campaign last fall.
It is when she promised so much. You wait for her to tell us she could have done something differently.
Does she have something to quell the discontent?
“I would say during last fall, Albertans rediscovered themselves,” she says.
“There was a moment in time when Albertans looked at themselves and I think saw themselves differently than perhaps the rest of the country has seen Albertans for some time.”
That’s it. She smiles and dashes off to another stop and then a rallying of the troops.
She is in Calgary, where many past Tory candidates could sleepwalk to victory.
Nobody is sleeping now.”
After what REDford said about King Ralph, I hope she does not get elected … now that would be the perfect revenge for Ralph …. vote Wildrose.
Redford and UN Agenda 21. HT Rob C.
Work the elections as a deputy returning officer on Monday from about 7am to about 10pm.
Received all the paper and ballot box, except the ballots, about a week ago.
Went to the early poll on Friday. The ballot box was so stuffed, it was difficult to keep the ballots from popping out.
Now, due to the voter enthusiasm, had to give my ballot box to the advanced poll. Hopefully get another one for Monday.

Slightly off topic but it’s been brought up here.
I’ve mentioned it before and I still believe that being anti gay-marriage has been and will continue to be bad for conservative parties. Most independents would probably be out and out conservative supporters if it weren’t for the apparent stigma that conservatives can’t get with the times and are “evil” etc. Some issues just aren’t important enough to argue over.
The Christian right sure wants us to be officially against gay-marriage, but while they may be the most vocal I don’t think they are nearly the majority of potential conservative voters, and I think this is something on which they basically won – churches aren’t being forced to perform gay-marriages so now you’re just fighting over the word. God can sort the real marriages from the fake ones. He doesn’t want, and in fact has specifically asked that you not to help him judge things.
Honestly in my lifetime it seems the “mean old” conservatives only get into power when people get mad at the corruption of the left. I firmly believe that, even though he’s doing a good job at slowly winning Canada over to a more conservative view, poor choices for leadership by the Liberals have helped keep Stephen Harper in power and that coupled with his ability to focus on the important issues like the economy and smaller government. Bringing up the issues like gay-marriage that sour most of the population doesn’t help him.
I’m all about fighting for what you believe in, but also recognize a losing battle. By alienating people who would otherwise vote with you on issues of mutual importance you allow the left to gain power for long periods and erode your rights. Catholics and birth-control come to mind. Or the BC Government trying to get shelters run by religious organizations to house needle exchange and safe injection sites. I also think that most young people have the “gay is ok” attitude and we’re alienating those youth. We’re also allowing the media to claim we’re all backwards hicks.
I think Jesus said he wants us to love each other and warned us not to judge lest we ourselves be judged, but since the bible was written by men, all of it is not the word of God – only the direct quotes. The rest is the writer’s interpretation I would presume, tainted from the beginning by the bias and assumption of imperfect mankind. I’m not sure if any of Jesus’ quotes tell us to read the future bible which will me made up of poorly translated (the languages aren’t that compatible between classical hebrew and English) jewish bible and a bunch of books written about him after his death.
This has been floating around the Internet lately and getting a lot of buzz. I encourage you to read it:
