My heart goes out to the family and friends of Trayvon Martin, the Florida teenager who was shot & killed on February 26th. It’s beyond unfortunate though to see race baiters like Karen Finney use this tragedy as a prop to build up “cred” on their CVs. As Ms. Finney adds fuel to the fire, one wonders if she’ll take any responsibility if others now get injured or killed as part of the retribution for Trayvon?
And, of course, there still is the whole issue of George Zimmerman being innocent until proven guilty. But why should race baiters let that tiny, little point get in the way of their careers?!

  3. To add to the above.Trayvon Martin was not given much of a chance. He was,IMHO, murdered by a ‘man’ that thought like a child. Let the chips fall where they may,but the outcry is not warranted.It is mob mentality.

  5. I just spent 2 hours listening to VERY COMPREHENSIVE coverage of this case. The fact is that we don’t know all the facts. For anyone to assert that he was [deliberately] murdered … you’re basing this on … what???
    There’s a law in Florida that says that no one can be arrested unless the police have enough evidence to lay charges. So suggesting that Florida authorities violate their state’s own law seems preposterous.
    In summary, George Zimmerman may be absolutely guilty. The Al Sharptons and Karen Finneys of the world have pretty much declared him guilty already. But, unless the fundamental rule of “innocent until proven guilty” has changed, we should all keep that in mind.

    If this neighborhood would’ve been safe, we wouldn’t have been talking about this, cause it never would’ve happened.

    And in case anyone mistakes me, Zimmerman is innocent of a crime until proven guilty.

    It’s supposed to rain here this weekend and I thought I’d need some humor to get through it.
    As for Zimmerman, the MSM claim he said “F..king Coon” before shooting the kid.

    Experience and knowledge,and common sense.
    This may be 1st degree,as the law is set out in Canada.
    It was an extreme reaction to an ordinary situation. I have questioned suspicious and undesirable people on a regular basis. If they run,I’m OK with that,actually that is the best result for me. Sure,a little intimate chinwag is fun,but that is not the job.
    If I express a desire to overstep the boundaries of my job,I would be high-fived by some,actually by most,but it doesn’t make it right.
    George Zimmerman may have felt threatened. That allows him to kill,but was it a real threat? From what I’ve read ,the shooter was wrong. The BS that has followed is VERY wrong.

  25. Charles Krauthammer made an excellent observation tonight on Special Report. The others on the panel clucked about the president actually making remarks on race and the “my own son” remarks. Charles said that Zimmerman is as much latino as Obama is black, but we’re definitely not hearing that angle from the coverage. Awesome double edge observation IMO.

  26. I was in a group of 200 people to be selected for jury duty in my adopted home town. This was case of a woman charged with violent assault The judge asked for “anyone that had ever been seriously assaulted”.
    I raised my hand, as a securty guard, five times had I been assaulted. I was let off jury duty.
    A few who have had the misfortune to be in abject fear of assault, will know the awful intial fear.
    Then one becomes numb.
    I never had a gun, thank God. On one occasion, I would have used it. (I do not need huh, thanks).

  28. Remember Richard Jewell from the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. The press sure hates chubby guys with a sense of social responsibility. The treatment of Zimmerman is an outrage. He should hire a scumbag lawyer and cash in like Jewell did.

    ……nearly 300 breakins in that “gated community” in the last year.
    This young adult was seen on top of Zimmerman, pounding him, by a witness. Zimmerman sustained injuries consistant.
    Martin lived 2 1/2 miles away….
    That said none of us have all the details….knee-jerk jumping to confusions makes ya look like what you are….stupid!

    Only now is local media reporting the facts at the insistence of normal people demanding the truth. Trayvon Martin, for reason he took with him to hell, attacked George Zimmerman, who had decided to follow a man he judged to be up to no good (against the advice of police). Zimmerman was forced to shoot Martin in self-defense to avoid being beaten to death. The police, who know the neighbourhood better than mainstream media troublemakers, were well able to guess what had happened and decided to let Zimmerman go.
    The angels rejoice at the sight of the torments in hell of the would-be murderer Trayvon Martin, and Karen Finney will soon join him. As for George Zimmerman, he should never be suffered to buy his own beer ever again.

    God help that witness known as “John”. If he’s not Black then he’ll be deemed a racist and a liar by Obama on down. If he is Black then he’ll either be pressured to change his statement or forced into hiding for selling out his race.
    I can think of few more despicable things that can come out of one’s mouth than race-baiting. But the Left will never stop using this despicable tool because it fits their agenda to a ‘T’.

    I don’t see vigilantism. I see a responsible citizen looking out for his neighbors exercising his constitutional right to be armed. Last time I heard, the first think a vigilante does is not to call the police. If he wasn’t armed he could have quite likely been dead.

    Blantant declarations of Martin being an “innocent kid with skittles” is as unfounded as declarations of Zimmerman being a racist trigger happy racist.
    Apparently the father of the deceased has declared the voice crying for help on the 911 call was not his son..
    At this point, media suppression of details and racing to judgement has tainted the information stream to the extent we can place no merit to any detail…..Rodney King redux.

    Ah glib, urbane Tom Walters. He did a real number on the Zimmerman-Martin tragedy.
    Trouble is that the ordinary Canadian that relies on this network, gets it like authentic actual proven facts on record.
    Zimmerman came of pretty badly of course.

    Yeah, sure. The more I look into this thing the less likely your statement is getting.
    Were you aware Zimmerman has serious facial bruising and a cut on the back of his head that required stiching? Were you aware there’s an eye witness who says its self defense? Were you aware the kid’s parents scrubbed his twitter and facebook pages right after he died? Were you aware he was on suspension from highschool? Were you aware the cops have refused to release any records they may or may not have on the kid before the Grand Jury goes forward? Were you aware that the cops are not ALLOWED to arrest Zimmerman until after the Grand Jury finds him at fault?
    Were you aware the Grand Wizard of the… sorry that’s the head of the New Black Panthers have offered a $10,000 cash reward for the “capture” of Zimmerman?
    So yeah, it -could- be that Zimmerman is the bad guy here, but that is looking less and less likely by the day. What we know for sure is that every race baiting politician in America, from the Rev. Jesse Jackson to well known Chicago community organizer Barack Obama, has camped out on this thing hoping to fill up their campaign treasure chests with blood money.
