WSBTV July 26th 2011: Why has the US State Department spent $770 million to fix up mosques in Egypt? Can you imaging the outrage from the media if $770 million was spent to fix up Christian churches in the US, much less a foreign country? Cripes, I imagine there’d be outrage if $77,000. had been spent.

with 6.00 gas prices …and they are surging upwards because dems refused to do the right thing then that they should of done.
this issue will be brought up in every session that the dems want to vote on a bill. …and the dems will be crucified for it until election day: where they will lose… the senate to republicans

it will be a struggle for the republican candidate to oust Obama. 1) there is no possible candidate right now who is a true conservative. I’m not optimistic that Obama is going to “be gone” after the election. The Republicans appear ready to select Mitt Romney to run against him,and I don’t see the undecided voters,or Ron Paul supporters voting for the “Business as usual” guy.
btw, gas is currently at $4.50/gallon in the U.S.,so there’s a ways to go to $6.
The GOP would be better off selecting Newt Gingrich as Newt can out-debate Obama,and his vitriol and bombast can make the headlines. Newt can also think on his feet and he’s the master of the comeback. Romney doesn’t have the ability to beat up on Obama in a debate.
As someone said earlier,it’s about appearance,and Newt can give the appearance of doing something about the U.S. economic situation and do it loudly.
Obama’s Army,the MSM and Hollywood,are going to be out in full force this time,as they see their grasp on power slipping away,and the bland Mitt Romney will take their abuse like the nice white politician he was raised to be.

this election will be about motivation from real panic from Millions of unemployed and underemployed Americans that believe Obama’s re-election will be the end of any hope of fixing the misery they live today.
What makes anyone think that the general population is buying into that message?
A few million unemployed and underemployed Americans aren’t going to make much difference when the vast majority of registered voters have jobs and don’t see how lame promises from lackluster GOP candidates are going to make it any better.
Granted that the far right agrees, however the vast majority of average voters I speak with say that things aren’t all that great in the Obama regime, but the GOP isn’t proposing any better alternatives. The “Get rid of Obama” message isn’t good enough to make them want to vote for someone else. A majority of American voters aren’t mad enough to dump Obama.
What will happen between now and November to change their minds?
To get Obama out, a significant number of the 37% who didn’t bother voting in 2008 have to be motivated to get up off their fat asses and go vote against Obama. Paranoia and panic motivate Americans better than anything else, and the people who want Obama gone will use every tactic available to scare Americans into believing Obama’s re-election will be the end of the good life as we know it.
Don’t worry, it’s not personal, it’s just politics.
Sure, I’d like to see the Obama regime defeated, however I don’t see the GOP fielding any candidates with the stature of Regan or Bush the First who could make that happen.
One thing you can count on, when OPEC cuts oil exports to the US, it won’t reduce the growing exports of refined fuel to global markets from US refineries. OPEC cuts will be used as an excuse to create fuel shortages at pumps in America to drive prices up even higher. Don’t worry, it’s not personal, it’s just business.
At this stage almost all the people I know believe that any change would be for the better. The people who want to keep Obama are the well-off elites like union executives, university people, actors, bankers, etc. Most of the people I know in the oil industry are Republicans not Democrats. IMHO fuel prices are being increased to piss people off with Obama. If this results in higher profits, then why not? It’s a win-win as far as the oil companies are concerned.
The odds on crashing the stock market in October are looking better every day.
