It is about time…..
Lowing standards for minorities was never a great means to level the playing field….It was a fancy way to justify reverse discrimination….It has impaired the effectiveness of even firemen and other first responders.
Correction: This is not to decide whether race-based discrimination is legal, but rather if a particular flavor of race-based discrimination is legal. Race-based discrimination against favored races have been illegal for some time, even if it’s not intentional and only detectable by government bureaucrats who need to find ever rarer incidences of racism to justify their sallaries.
O’Connor has been replaced by Alito and Kagan is sitting this one out. It’s almost certain to overturn the 2003 decision.
This is exactly why Obama must be defeated this year. With three justices near death or retirement – two of them conservative – he can’t be allowed any more nominations.
Anybody who thinks Little Ricky can beat Zero hasn’t been looming at the electoral map or taking the pulse of the swing voters. Although Republicans gained a lot of favorable factors relative to 2008, this is still very much Obama’s election to lose. Let’s not make that more difficult.
The first time I voted Conservative was with Mike Harris and the only reason I voted for him was he said he would dismantle affirmative actions. Which he actually tried to do.
Harper should ban affirmative action while in office. He should also rewrite the part in the charter where they can override civil rights laws which allow affirmative actions.
Both provincial and federal Conservative parties have lost my vote if they don’t do something about it now.
Yeah…politicians better do what you want NOW!!!

Mr. Santorum is a serious candidate, to anyone that is paying attention. Will he win the Republican nominaion? To be determined.
Obama is stewing in the juices of his own broth.
Any Republican would be a better leader, except maybe Ron Paul. Even Paul couldn’t damage the USA to the extent Obama has.

This will give those of us South of the Border a new look at just how many of the “Justices” on the Supreme Court actually care about their oath to the Constitution. It would be nice to see them get this one right for a change, but I’m not counting on it…
What is equality?
Interesting that only “the state” can issue waivers to institutions allowing them to openly discriminate.
It all stems from liberal guilt.
How could any serious businessman give a black graduate a job if he cared about the success of his company? You have no idea today whether or not that individual has the qualifications, and you know that once hired, any sort of disciplinary action for anything including poor performance could put you out of business.
The Liberal Progressive left has racially marginalized Negro’s and kept them on plantations from the day they were hauled in chains to western countries. They have since used them as vote farms, drug mules and societal anarchists to further their individual agenda’s and degrade western societies cultures and institutions.
Yet through it all they shamelessly debase and destroy their Negro slaves adopted religion of Christianity and abort their baby’s by the tens of millions as a final inhumane humiliation.
While I applaud the SCOTUS for taking this issue on it would have been nice to see this epic debate back in 2006, maybe then, just maybe, we would not have ended up with our very first Affirmative Action President.

Remember if your old enough when affirmative action first came in. People said if the best people don’t get in, just the Tokens. We would see society go to seed. Infrastructure fall apart. Immorality take over , with ethics being lowered. An army that got more stupid as the regulations where lowered. Look around today. Incompetent police to firemen who can’t put out fires . Race conscious armed forces. No ethics left in Business. To a President that has macaroni for brains. Muslim Socialism for a policy.
All because we lowered the bar for the do nothings,because of skin color or social circumstances.
It was obvious than if you didn’t work for a good job by talent, only the dross would be helped. Its now so obvious you can’t live a day not being reminded just how far the culture has fallen.
Knight99. I read that today and it just reaffirms my attitude of not voting anymore if the conservatives don’t do something about this.
I have mentioned here on SDA a couple times in the past that I tore up my organ donor card, don’t give blood, refuse to fly or wear the Canadian flag and several other things that probably don’t affect anybody but me. But, if a few million white males did the same thing the laws would change tomorrow.
Remember when a couple million white males out west wanted NHL teams in their cities all they had to do was switch beer brands for a couple months.
Why contribute if you are treated like a second class citizen?

Agreed. At least some people are taking notice and actually opening and discussing the issue in the US.
I watched a CTV news report last night interviewing some sort of multiculturalism minister or another (didn’t catch her name). She said that they will be opening a pilot program to help get Canada’s taxi drivers and such with “professional degrees” from third world countries get out of their taxi’s and into professional Canadian jobs.
The clincher was that they both agreed that the provincial professional standards in Canada were too stringent for 99.9% of these people to pass to get their licences. They then went on to agree that the only reason the standards were so high was because basically {old white men set the standards too high once they were in charge to protect their own jobs}. The solution between them was that standards needed to be lowered to a reasonable level for third world’ers to gain professional licensing in Canada. She proposed that there should be a Federal mandate to take the professional licensing powers away from the provinces.
Anyway, if no one else can see through this BS we are really in trouble and heading fast towards third world standards.
