Feb 14, 2012 – One of the Left’s heroes, Keith Olbermann insists that no rapes occurred at the various Occupy protests, even though there is well documented evidence to the contrary.
Feb 16, 2012 – An Ottawa born writer named Dahlia Lithwick, constantly trying to develop more ‘cred’ with her Komrades in Amerika, insists that pregnancy related medical procedures in a doctor’s office, including non-invasive ultrasound, is equivalent to rape. Some dare to disagree.
Note: This is not the first time Ms. Lithwick has embarrassed herself.

Is it still rape when you pay for it yourself, or is it only rape when its single payer medicine?
Because I think single payer medicine is kinda like rape too. My wallet is feeling all violated at the idea of paying for little Daliah’s medical bills, know what I mean?
Rape has become defined by ones politics. If your a six year old you can sexual assault people, if the complainer is “progressive”. A leftist democrat President can never rape by definition. Same with film makers who drug than have sex with 13 year olds or any politician of the left. NO Rape Rape at a “progressive” movement can occur naturally. I call it the Whoppi doctrine. But even a look, or ogle. Let alone a whistle no matter what age, by a Conservative is rape. Any questioning of abortion is now Rape. See a pattern here?
Rape is not an evil action anymore, its now a political platform by the Marxists to trash any policy they don’t like. A word exclusively used against any political action by conservative, but covering up any real abuse to Women by socialists to debauch to their hearts content. After all Blacks or Women are neither, if Conservative.
Is Lithwick totally nuts. I had a doctor do a prostate exam on me without buying me dinner. Technically not sexual assault, just a etiquette faux pas. I’ve even had a couple doctors asking me to turn my head and cough while their hand was … oh enough.
Let’s see…..an ultra-sound is an intrusive, sexual assault, but the subsequent theraputic abortion is not??
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot??
The Virginia law is clearly an example of government overreach.
And I sincerely doubt that many people on the left still give a hoot about Keith Olbermann. The guy is a pompous windbag.
To be fair, maybe he’s talking about the man-on-man rapes, maybe he doesn’t think that’s ‘rape, rape’. Like when Hollywood director’s rape children, like you know…
Is it rape rape or just ultrasound rape, or maybe ultrasound ultrasound?
sasquatch @ 7:46, bulls-eye!
Olbermann and Lithwick are two of a kind. Can you imagine what these two would write and report if their Comrades would take more control than they already have.
The Muddled Thinking of the Left: Example #1
This could be a loong series.
I guess that means that the Canadian medical system is involved in “rape” as all Canadian abortion clinics insist that women get ultrasounds first. Knowing the age of the fetus is quite important as abortion is only allowed early in pregnancy in Canada. Also, I’ve seen women who want abortions but have had a spontaneous abortion prior to the procedure. In such cases the ultrasound prevents an unnecessary invasive procedure. Also, some women I see are so “in touch” with their bodies that it takes them 3-4 months before they notice they haven’t had a period. Also, have had teenage girls (usually seen in the company of their mothers) say they couldn’t possibly be pregnant as they’re still virgins. An ultrasound is the only way to dispel their delusions. I guess it’s only “rape” when Conservative males come up with the idea whereas if a leftist “healthcare provider” does so it’s considered comprehensive medical care.
Totally right Sasquatch, but then leftists never did figure out this whole logic thing.
from the comments:
“You guys who think this bill is a good idea. Have you never wondered why the legislators, in their wisdom, chose not to explain any medical reason why the procedure should be mandatory in all cases?
Possibly, because they don’t know that much about medicine?
A few years ago, we watched Republican lawmakers go berserk, issuing “diagnoses” of poor Terri Schiavo. Most of them insisted she was conscious of her surroundings and about to wake up. The fact was that her brain had liquified, long before Republicans noticed the headline potential in her sad condition.
THESE are the kind of people who believe they should give medical direction to physicians, PAs, and nurses. Yet, somehow, I doubt even their admirers will be running to the state house to get their next prostate exams.”
Revnant-Perhaps ‘rape’ is replacing the word ‘racist’ in the progressive lexicon.
Aarrghh. Much as I don’t want to agree with Ms Lithwick and her ilk, there’s something in this that brings out my inner libertarian (yes I do have one). Sorry, but the government has NO business forcing anyone to have ANY medical procedure, invasive or otherwise. This is the start of a very long, slippery, downward-slanting road.
The funniest tactic the left uses is when they completely deny an event ever occured when there is clear and undisputible evidence to the contrary. Such as occupy rape in this particular story, but the funniest one I heard was on the earlier link of A CKNW caller completely denying that justin trudeau was suggesting quebec separate.
These people are completely nuts.
I have to agree with Ellie in T.O. It sounds like there’s a little more than Robert let’s on his description. In fact, I hate to say this, but I think Robert purposefully misleads us by writing “including non-invasive ultrasound“. It sounds like the objection is to a government mandated vaginal ultrasound that serves no medical purpose. Not that most abortions serve a medical purpose, either, but I don’t believe government should be mandating medical procedures. Period.
Ms Lithwick is as embarrassed as my cat.
Everybody is aware of the irreconcilable difference between those who believe abortion is the equivalent of murder, and those who believe that the right of a woman to control her body is supreme. It is a binary proposition, one or zero.
Everything else is partisan posturing.
