  1. Oh c’mon weather and climate aren’t related.
Except when it comes to proving globull warming, then they ARE correlated, but only then!

  2. Man, we could use some of that white stuff here in East Central Alberta. Dead, brown, and boring. We had one sorta decent snowfall back in November, and a few skiffs since then, which usually disappear within a day or so.

  3. Interesting. I was wondering where the snow we haven’t got in Winnipeg this year went to. Alaska, apparently.

  4. Was just getting used to the lack of snow and warm temperatures in S. central BC until we had a huge dump of snow yesterday. With a temperature of -10 C, it doesn’t look like it’s going to melt so now have to try to get motivated to shovel 65 yards of driveway. Don’t have to drive anywhere till the end of the week so can put it off another day. One of these days I’ll buy a snowblower but for now use the old fashioned shovelling technique that I learned as a child. Maybe by tomorrow I can view it as an opportunity to get some upper body exercise.

  5. On the bright side it doesn’t look like it’s wet “packing” snow as we called good snowball snow in my childhood.

  6. Loki, now is the time for me to make a pitch about the excellent qualities of a JD electric start, chain drive snow blower.

  7. Mother nature rules, …..and sometimes she has a sick sense of humor. To all who thought winter was slow in getting here, wait one more week.

  8. I tried to discuss (non)AGW with my college student niece. Her sources of proof were Suzuki and the Georgia Straight. sigh. Can we get a refund for her (non)education?

Brainwashing is so difficult to undo. Time is the best remedy. I’m fairly sure another “end of the world” panic is just around the corner as this one is getting stale. Every generation needs their very own panic.

  10. Climate change is real, blaming it on humans is the scam. Of course the planet is warming from the last ice age, and blaming that on humans is a lie too. It’s a typical leftist deception to use something that’s undeniably real to ‘prove’ something blatantly false.
A growing body of evidence suggests that the formation of the Isthmus of Panama 2.7 million years ago partitioned the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and fundamentally changed global ocean circulation. The closing of the Central American Seaway initially may have warmed Earth’s climate, but then set the stage for glaciation in the Northern Hemisphere.
Since then approximately every 100,000 years Earth’s climate warms up temporarily. These warm periods, called interglacial periods, appear to last approximately 15,000 to 20,000 years before regressing back to a cold ice age climate. At year 18,000 and counting our current interglacial vacation from the Ice Age is much nearer its end than its beginning.
Global warming during Earth’s current interglacial warm period has greatly altered our environment and the distribution and diversity of all life. For example:
*Approximately 15,000 years ago the earth had warmed sufficiently to halt the advance of glaciers, and sea levels worldwide began to rise.
*By 8,000 years ago the land bridge across the Bering Strait was drowned, cutting off the migration of men and animals to North America from Asia.
*Since the end of the Ice Age, Earth’s temperature has risen approximately 16 degrees F and sea levels have risen a total of 300 feet! Forests have returned where once there was only ice.

The return of the cold is inevitable. We may or may not be delaying it with the CO2 released from fossil fuels as recent climate research suggests. Hopefully it will give us the time to get small scale nuclear fusion working reliably and safely before the next ice age.

  11. North…old son….
Mankind has about as much chance of stopping an Ice Age, with or without ” small scale nuclear fusion working reliably and safely” as King Canute had to stop the tide.
Certain natural events such a vulcanoes, earth quakes and Ice Ages are beyond our understanding or influence.
Stoke the stove and have a good night….and don’t awaken to a cold house.

  12. I never suggested that mankind could stop the ice age, did I? What part of “The return of the cold is inevitable” was so difficult to comprehend?
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is wrong with you? Why are you trying to distort what someone else has written for your personal insult agenda?
    Knock off the patronizing crap.
Just focus on trying to state your own views clearly and concisely.

  13. Anyone living in Alaska with a roof angle that flat desrves everything the winter throws at them.

  14. Well that video was a true disappointment!
I was looking forward to seeing 26ft of snow bury that SUV, and then the poor owner having to dig it out.

  15. South central Ontario is being going up and down like a yo-yo with higher than normal temp being the majority of the time…A boring, dirty winter so far here.
A good area right now for snakes like Gore and Suzuki to come and peddle their lies to the usual gullible suckers I guess.

If you read and comprehend my comment, you will find that I endorse your comment about the inevitable return of the Glaciation….perhaps agreement is patronizing?
Come to think of it….It is remotely possible that rather than deepening the Panama Canal…we should recreate the ancient strait….blow a gop in the Ismus. Study would be needed…the method…the consequences….
    BTW…thankyou…
the whiskey Tango Foxtrot….imitation is the most sincere form of flattery…Oscar Kilo……
