  1. What? Withdrawing our forces resembles withdrawing our forces? Gee, we never noticed that in the planning stages…

  2. Well thank you very very much @ssh*les. Apologize better or we’ll feed you to Kim, how about that?

  3. i think it is the dutch not the koreans that need an ass kicking!!stupid dutch f#ck’s!!!.

  4. Hilariously daft…did they make sure to have glass floors in the cloud boxes, to give it that speeding to the ground feeling?
    Caption should be:
FDR you invaded the wrong peninsula…
Seeing as it was Dutch designers they should reverse D-Day with Operation Sea Lion (Unternehmen Seelöwe)…there fixed that for you Kate!
    Cheers

  5. All that aside, this may have a stabilizing effect on these behemoths. It is a thoughtless design nonetheless.

  6. The best balcony views can probably see the ocean (where Osama bin Laden sleeps with the fishes).

  7. I can’t decide which offends me the most: the design or the limp lie (in English only), that they “didn’t notice”. They need a swift kick in the ass with wooden shoes.
They’ve got a sizeable muzzie constituency to placate tho, what? As if it would!

  8. I know South Koreans are the biggest pansies on the planet and all, but cmon, that tower is COOL. It looks like it belongs in a Clone Wars episode!

  9. I’m not sure that its not a good idea. It will certainly remind people of the destruction the muslims did in New York. As Mark Steyn points out its been 10 years and there is still just a hole in the ground at the WTC site. Maybe these buildings will be the only memorial.

  10. Minor correction to the title – It was “Harry S Truman”, not “Harry S. Truman”. There was no period after the “S” since it was only an initial and not a full name and hence not abbreviated. That’s your trivia for the day…

  11. Sorry, but I’m PO’d when I see that. And I’m Canadian.
Our American friends should tell the architects:
“If you build that…The USAF will knock it down the next day. How dare you?!”
    WTF?

  12. dave, you and Mark Steyn are both quite behind the times. The steel superstructure of the NEW World Trad Center is now built up to the 88th floor.
You might want to check out this World Trade Center website, especially the images link. The 9/11 Memorial part of the NEW World Trade Center was opened to the public on 9/12 of this year. Construction continues apace.

  13. Well, I guess it’s a shame the actual picture can’t be posted here. It WAS a supacool image not posted anywhere else…
p.s uhhh, where the hell IS the picture of the other side!?!?!?!?
