I’d prefer they throw out the entire Human Rights Commissions, but I suppose this is as good a start as any…
and it’s one in the win column for Ezra Levant. 🙂
Contempt, ideally, would be above contempt…No..?
The federal human rights commission should bind only the federal government and hopefully cause them endless grief. The provincial human rights commissions should be limited to Labour Act, Landlord and Tenant, and commercial sales and services area. End of story.
I have failed to see any organized racism aside from the Canadian Jewish Congress sponsored Nazi Party of the 1960s and the CSIS sponsored Heritage Front of the 1980s.
Ezra akbar!
Ezra akbar is right!
First the Wheat Board, now Section 13.
Oops, forgot the Long Gun Registry and the crime bill.
Pat Martin must be pissed off…or flicking choked…
Do you think that the Canadian government could possibly manage to run two countries. There is an opening for a more libertarian government here in Australia. You Canadians have no idea. Our crowd are adopting a classical Orwellian totalitarian doctrine. It gets worse every day.
Ezra for Prime Minister.
This aint good…Candyass ozzies are not helpfull.
Ezra is on fire about a lot of things and is scaring the crap out of the left. This guy is a GEM.
I love that man.
Mamba for Minister of State…
I like Candyass ozzies. Australia’s great. You can dive there and they have parrots. Don’t pick on Bruce.
I’m perfectly serious about the Prime Minister thing incidentally. As far as I know there’s no law saying these people have to suck.

Thanks. I’d settle for doughnut-fetcher. Again, perfectly serious.
So a lightly dusted creuler should’nt be a problem…?
If Canada was the type to carve Mount Rushmores I’d like to see Ezra carved into both sides of the Rockies so progressives east and west of the Canadian continental divide can know he is watching…
He’s like Chuck Norris except different.
The Tories have firmly jumped onto the common sense bandwagon and it’s wonderful to smell that fresh air of freedom every time they introduce a new bill that undoes some more of the damage that has been done to this country by Trudeau and the left.
Chucky Norris…?
Double chocolate, extra sprinlkes are, of course, the deal makers…
I thought it was going to be a Falun Gong skit with him going ‘on fire’ for the sake of the freedom of speech. Maybe tomorrow.
Even the hippies only do Burning Man once a year…
Ugh,…… Richard Warman makes me cringe.
Maximum Rancidious Disruptor.
Usually a Straw Man…
Drat, I’m going to have to contribute to the CPC again. They’re doing everything I demanded they do before I handed them more of my cash.
If we get our rights back it will in no small way be Ezra’s, & people like Kate. Who have worked hard for this. Kathie Saidle with hubby BCF, as well as many others. Including the dapper Dan of columnists, Mark Steyn.
@ Peter Wardle: That is what happens when you let them take your guns. If they think that they will get the bullets first when they come for your guns they expose themselves for the paper tigers they truly are. It is not to late. Stand up to them. When the gun grabbers here in Canada saw the quality of support their victims were getting from our gun clubs and firearms organizations they got very careful. They realized too late that they had awakened those guardians of freedom: the armed citizens. We all contributed and worked very hard to overcome the media disinformation campaign against us. Without gun owner support Stephen Harper would not be prime minister to day.
I watched Ezra’s vidio over at Sun News re: this victory and his interview with the M.P. from St. Pauls (in Alta). What a great day to celebrate with our Freedom champion – Mr. Ezra Levant – and his back-up teams: Kate and SDAers, Kathey Saidle, Mr. Mark Steyn, our Prime Minister, Mr. Stephen Harper, and most of the Conservative MPs in Ottawa. Cheers to us all!
There are more dangerous clauses in the new internet legislation than Section 13 … clauses that could be used to arrest bloggers for a wide range of subjects, if not by this government then by some future government. And in any case, discretion will rest with police forces and prosecutors, not the federal Cabinet. So I am not quite as overjoyed as many. In fact I suspect that they now realize that Section 13 is obsolete and that its primary beneficiary has already moved on from exploiting it to a higher paying form of lawfare. Just a word to the wise, stay vigilant, internet thought police have not been sacked, just shown into new accommodations.
What’s Warman going to do now to make a living?

Not me. Not until they give me Property Rights. Then I’ll cut them a large cheque.
Jamie,
Get your crown land patent grant, if you are from Ontario or Quebec you definitely have one. Other provinces may also have them but I know nothing about other provinces.

Most of us have property (land) rights given to us by the crown, we just have been so divorced from the reality that we have no idea what rights we actually have.
Do yourselves and others a favour and email a congratulatory note to Storseth with a copy to your MP. It only takes a minute. Email addresses can be obtained by googling “Canada Members of Parliament”.
I did this last night and promptly received a thank you message from Storseth’s office
Remember, this is a Private Members bill and needs wide support from all MPs.in order for it to have a chance of passing.
I can’ t help but feel that we all owe Ezra a huge thank you. Huge doesn’t even begin to convey it.
A single individual, in a collectivist dominated media, has really set the wheels of justice in motion.
If this gets repealed, I dunno, we need to show our gratitude by more than just adding ASCII to a comment.
Any ideas?
CBC next?
Thiis would be the candle on the cake. Cut 1/2 next budget and the other half in 2013.
Also they should reconsider what was written above:
Peter O’Donnell 5:01 AM said: “There are more dangerous clauses in the new internet legislation than Section 13 … clauses that could be used to arrest bloggers for a wide range of subjects, if not by this government then by some future government.” This would be as dangerious as the Section now being discussed.
Interesting Editorial – ends with leave it to real lawyers and judges – but was it not lawyers from the CHRC and DND doing the dirty deeds?
The lack of movement and reform on this issue has been my biggest disappointment in Mr. Harper and his majority government. I believe it is more important than the CWB and the registry.
Thomas: then you must be ecstatic today. The CPC has long maintained that social issues by and large should be addressed via PMBs and free votes in the HOC. This PMB is coming forward arguably on as fast a timeline as has been possible since the CPC won a majority. So your grounds for disappointment in the CPC is completely unfounded.
Mr Pat Martin in the advanced stages of Touretts is prove positive that the CPC must be doing something right.
sp. proof not prove.
What wonderful news!
Standing applause…
Bravo, bravo, …encore!
Congratulations to Ezra, Brian & CPC for slaying the speech dragons.
I gather Obersturmbahnfurher Jennifer is squealing that the money train will be derailed.
Cheers
Hans Rupprecht, Commander in Chief
1st Saint Nicolaas Army
Army Group “True North”
This is a great victory for Canadians, courtesy of Ezra Levant. Although there are many others who deserve credit, nobody pursued this as tirelessly as Ezra. Viva Levant!
Hans “Obersturmbahnfurher Jennifer”, that is funny, good for you as the descriptor fits to a T.
Order of Canada for Ezra Levant!
“Order of Canada for Ezra Levant”???
When the likes of Henry Morgenthaler is thought to be a deserving recipient of that “award” why would you wish this for someone like Ezra.
What other award should he get? Don’t know but NO award would be better the the OOC.

Thanks GL.
I am well aware of the Crown Letters Patent. They are useful in certain limited cases
but they are NOT a substitute for property rights legislation.
And anyone who thinks so is deluding themselves – and playing right into the hands of politicians who would dearly love the whole property rights issue to just go away.
Dick has a great idea, to write Brian Storseth to thank him for his private member’s bill, with a copy to the Honourable Rob Nicholson and Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Here are their e-mail addresses:
Brian Storseth: brian.storseth@parl.gc.ca
Rob Nicholson: Nichor@parl.gc.ca
PM Harper: pm@pm.gc.ca
It takes awhile to look them up. ‘Hope this helps!
Ezera went thro the wringer at the hands of those HRC a$$hats and recieved a lot of “blogger” support, so now it’s pay back and he’s giving back to his supporter
so thanx Ezera, and thax to all those who supported him
Although this development is promising, perhaps it’s too soon to start celebrating since it’s not known what the “forthcoming amendments to strengthen the criminal code provisions” actually are and how these forthcoming amendments will impact free speech in Canada. Proceed with caution. Don’t want to end up jumping from the pot into the frying pan.
