  1. It doesn’t matter what happens in Europe any more. Europe is finished and there is nothing that any form of government, democratic or not can do about it. They are heading for a new “dark ages” and the barbarians are at the gate.

  2. Did anybody say “Greek referendum”, which was also thwarted by the E.U.?
Maybe the referendum was a bad idea, but since when does this body have the authority to intervene politically in sovereign democratic member Nations? Credit requirements are one thing, but National Sovereignty?
I’m not well-informed on the subject, but it seems that the European Parliament was probably a white elephant pipe dream in the first place.
They need something bigger to replace it — like a Global Government, led by a Barack Obama!!!
(Jus’ kiddin’ on that last one 😉 )

While I tend to agree with you regarding the inevitability of drastic restructuring in Europe…I disagree that it doesn’t matter.
It does and it will serve as an impetous for us …or we’ll go down right behind them.

  4. “Did anybody say “Greek referendum”, which was also thwarted by the E.U.”
You think the EU is supposed to lend (and presumably lose) hundreds of billions of Euros without setting conditions? The Greeks had a clear choice to accept or reject a deal. Negotiation was not in the equation.

  5. All of these tools signed on to be part of the Euro-Zone economic ponzi. ALL of THEM.
They all bought the snake oil/miracle cure for every ill thing that anyone could imagine.
They knew very well that they were handing their sovereignty over to bureuacrats.
Now they think they are hard done by?
    Too bad.

  6. Cameron is preparing to hand Britain to the EU:
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/eu/8898044/Germanys-secret-plans-to-derail-a-British-referendum-on-the-EU.html
    From the article:
“Senior government officials confirmed that they had dropped a previous demand that EU powers should be “repatriated” to Britain in return for the treaty changes requested by Germany, a move that will anger Conservative MPs. ”
    And…
“The negotiating document also explicitly examines ways to limit treaty changes to speed up the reforms. It indicates that Mrs Merkel will tell Mr Cameron to rule out a popular EU vote in Britain.”
Cameron will be the tool who finally puts the nail in Britain’s coffin, finishing the job that Major, Blair, and Brown have been doing.

  7. minuteman said: “and the barbarians are at the gate.”
The barbarians, aka the Mohammedans, are inside the walls.
The Mohammedans’ blood is flowing now in the streets of Germany, courtesy of National Socialism (neo-nazis). See Der Spiegel (the mirror).
    There will be more blood.

    “By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez*
I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth – Europe died in Auschwitz.
We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, and talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.”
“What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.”

profound…nuking nazi’s from outer space…the rest of the european zone can’t scrape together enough cash to throw a slurpie on Germany…but the nuking nazi meme is…profound…

    I don’t.

  10. Europe is so ‘fudged’ they have no idea.
Trouble is – those bastards are taking some of my savings with them. The world should boycott ever visiting that so disfunctional part of the world.
Would that ever get their shat in a knot.

  11. I bet you don’t Mamba…it was of course a rhetorical question cleverly placed to confuse wanna be conservatives…or…I’m drunk.
    I’m good with either or…

  12. “Cameron is preparing to hand Britain to the EU”
Why didn’t they just surrender in 1940? Wasted a lot of lives and time. Why the rush to put the ██ heads in charge?

  13. Merkel has lost a lot of support for trying to keep the other ships from sinking. The Germans are being drained financially and see the whole system as a black hole with no way to escape. They are not the bad guys in this episode. They are the last hope for the Euro and that hope is fading fast.

  14. Oh spare me the violin music… the krauts are among the most vociferous proponents of the supranational welfare state and they have been the only sizable nation able to pay for it without going bankrupt. And now, as the last man standing in unsustainable Eutopia, they have achieved through economic means what they previously failed to do militarily. Don’t be fooled for a second.. as Farage suggests this is not a crisis for Germany but an opportunity.

  15. @ marco
How so ? They will dump the Euro and go back to the Mark. That would cause dozens of banks in the PIIGS to collapse and send OUR stock markets into a tailspin. The opportunity would be what ?? Germany would lose trillions and a worldwide recession would be imminent. A recession that would suck them into the same vortex. Germany is desperate to keep the Euro floating but even they are running out of options. All the countries in Europe are joined at the hip. There will be no winners. Even worse, the great minds in the suits have no idea what to do next. All options used up. Even Canada will feel the pain as the US will be hit hard and we are their largest trading partner.
So, tell me what this great opportunity is for Germany.

  16. @ syncrodox
Buy stocks ONLY on pet food , dry survival food, ammunition and funeral related. Everything else will tank. Buy now….buy lots. I’m sure marco would tell you the same thing but time is money.

  17. I enjoyed Nigel Farage’s speech, but I would like to point out that being “dominated” by Germany in 2011 is not exactly the same thing as being dominated by Germany in 1940.

  18. Here is the document for the final solution to the EU’s “British reluctance” problem:
    http://www.documentcloud.org/documents/267781-brusselsembed.html#document/p1
“Outlook – from Stability union to Political union Further development in the area of fiscal policy in the euro zone is essential for the permanent stabilisation of the euro, and also of utmost importance for the entire EU. Apart from its economic necessity, this would also be a great step forward in the integration of the EU. It will start with the euro states, but should of course also be applicable for the other Member States when they introduce the euro. It is of great importance that as regards to content or institutions there will be no decoupling of the Eurozone from the rest of the EU; this can be met best when the proposed steps of integration, where possible, be enshrined in the EU Treaties. ”
Once (not if) Cameron the traitor signs on to this, there will be no way out of the EU short of war.

  19. So it has come in our time
    a European dictatorship
    Greece and Italy reduced to
    protectorates under appointed governors
    democracy and representative government abolished
complete control of budget and taxes, that is complete and absolute control of the state,
in the hands of the appointee of the unelected supreme council of the EU
Greece and Italian leaders selling the existence of their countries and the democratic rights of their people in exchange for bailout money
is there anyone foolish enough to think that these people will ever be given their freedom back
the choice is being reduced to civil war or tyranny
