Things You’ll Never See On The CBC

A Message for Ahmadinejad;

New York is an annual ritual Ahmadinejad looks forward to. The U.N. indulges his fantasies of being a world statesman, and he gets a vacation from the internecine rivalries and political intrigues that have become a hallmark of the Iranian regime.
Most of all, he relishes the opportunity to pontificate in the presence of academics and opinion makers. Last year, for example, a group of Yale University students held a question and answer session with Ahmadinejad in New York. The students were led by Hillary Leverett, a Yale professor who, a few months before, authored an article with the title, “Ahmadinejad Won. Get Over It.” Even the dullest of minds can imagine the obsequious tone of that conversation.
Away from the bosom of the Ivy League, Ahmadinejad can give an interview to one of the many broadcasters eager to repeat his past tete-a-tetes on the major networks. Should the interviewer pitch an adversarial question, Ahmadinejad can be relied upon to smile and take a swipe at Israel or America in response.
And let’s not forget the extremists of various hues seeking photo opportunities.
Past recipients of Ahmadinejad’s embrace include the Nation of Islam, along with a tiny sect of ultra-orthodox Jews whose hatred of Israel leads them to consort with a Holocaust denier, and a bewildering range of organizations claiming to be “progressive.” In 2010, we were treated to the spectacle of “Code Pink,”a group of self-proclaimed feminists, exchanging pleasantries with the president of a country that punishes women convicted of adultery by stoning them to death!
Ahmadinejad’s most well-known encounter with the U.S. elite was back in 2006, when he appeared before a packed audience at Columbia University at the invitation of its president, Lee Bollinger. He may get a second opportunity this year, if the reports of an intimate dinner with students under Columbia’s auspices turn out to be true.
All these gatherings have one feature in common: Iranian dissidents like myself are nowhere to be seen.

(At time of writing) a Google News search for “Ahmad Batebi” produced only one network result: Fox News.

  1. Given the Ahmadinnerjacket, is known to be and has admitted to the US Embassey hostage taking….it would proper for the US to detain him and deliver him to the International Court for trial.

  2. There’s a simple reason for the response of the “intellectuals” to Muslim whack jobs like Ahmadinejad. They (the intellectuals) know what happens to people like them in Iran. They suck up to Ahmadinejad because they are scared of people like him.

  3. “it would proper for the US to detain him and deliver him to the International Court for trial.”
Sitting on tons of oil seems to be insurance for ‘respect’ on the international stage…Specifically if you also represent an oppressive regime that supports international terrorism and genocide.
Canada sits on tons of oil but it is “ethical” so this type of ‘respect’ seems not applicable.
So it’s not Dinnerjacket I despise the most in all this. It’s the “progressives” enablers within our own borders I would first take to task.
    Hang’em high!

  4. Speaking about things we may never see on CBC how about something we’re likely to see our tax dollars produce on CBC- this whole lefty spin about “Arab spring” gives me a great idea for a CBC musical comedy about an illegal alien Pali sleeper cell in small town Saskabush – Spring time for Arafat

  5. Terry Tory, exactly. The “progressives” within western societies hate capitalism and western civilization so much that they would forge an alliance with the devil to destroy it. In the case of Ahmadinejad, they hope he will help them destroy what the west stands for. The CBC and other Canadian useful idiots are right in there with this bunch.
Since 1917 the “progressives”, actually regressives, have followed this pattern.

  6. Off Topic Sorry But CBC related
I wonder how CBC faired in the ratings last nite with the barnburner investigation “In Search of the G Spot”
up against premiere’s such as Person of Interest, Grey’s Anatomy & The Office.
Oh and not to forget the News Network ‘Evil Fox North’ Sun-TV.

  7. I watched some of this yesterday on Sun. They had shots of the UN audience walking out in droves. The main feed only showed a-alphabet, which is what I am guessing the cbc would have shown.

  8. I’ve got a message for Mr. Ahmadinnerjacket, it doesn’t translate well into typing. Lemme try this:
    .|..
    You get the idea.
My other message needs to be delivered in a big airplane, its scrawled on the side of a 2000lb bunker buster.

  9. The only New York institution that this nutbar should be allowed to visit is a mental hospital.
Perhaps an appearance on the David Letterman Show would be close enough.

  10. Sasquatch – Imadinnerjacket will be carrying a red diplomatic passport so he can’t be snatched under international protocols. Ken Kulak – I suspect you mean AUGUST 1945 that was “explosive closure” for WWII..

  11. Aviator, as far as a big bang is, you are right, but I was thinking more about Adolph’s end in bunkers below the Reich Chancellery. Your date is more appropriate to The Phantom’s suggestion.

  12. Imadinnerjacket will be carrying a red diplomatic passport so he can’t be snatched under international protocols.
    ~Aviator
International protocols didn’t stop Imadinnerjacket from taking American Embassy workers hostage for 444 days in 1979.
We could say it was just “students” who have him.
    Just sayin’.
